Chapter 13
Once upon a time, Donghae
How much does forever last?
Is eternity real?
How long can one be in love?
How long does a hug last?
While I held on to Donghae I kept questioning if it was real, if all the emotions I felt were sincere or were they just provoked by the moment.
Neither of us said anything during the ride, but it wasn't necessary. The silence spoke for us and made us feel connected. <>
We exited the city and arrived on a factory which, if you asked me, looked abandoned and would scare me in other situations, but right now it looked like the perfect place to be, as long as it was with Donghae.
We got off the bike and while he seemed to know exactly what to do (typical of Donghae) I admired the place. There were lots of trees around, the floor was all land and our footsteps sounded loud. The factory was surrounded with metallic mesh and everything inside seemed dead. I didn't understand what Donghae wanted to do here.
"Tell me you're not going to murder me," I said, still looking over the place.
"Thank you Mr.Lee, you ruined my master plan, now I'm going to have to kill you right here, please don't make too much noise," he mocked while he looked for something between the union of the ground and fence.
"But really, what are we doing here?" I was dying of curiosity.
"Hyukjae your questions ruin my moment, save them for the end." He sounded like a flight attendant, which is what he sounded like when he was in charge. <> It bothered me, but I obeyed and remained quiet for a while more.
The sound of something breaking off the ground made me jump, it looked like Donghae found what he was looking for, it was a lose bar which if you picked it up revealed an entrance big enough for us to fit.
I looked at him suspiciously, but Donghae's face was calm and smiling, it reassured me he had everything under control and nothing was going to happen. I trusted him once more, like I did many times before and would do many more times in the future, one thing's for sure, this was one of the times I would never regret doing it.
The factory wasn't that big, but it took us 5 minutes to get to the roof because of some horrible and tall stairs. The roof was secured with the same metallic mesh making it safe to look over the edge without risk. It was completely empty <> and there were tubes which seemed to be for ventilation.
"Welcome to my sanctuary," he told me while I analyzed everything critically, asking myself when the murder was going to happen,"What do you think?"
"Well I still have my doubts," I said, a bit suspicious of the place.
"Hyukjae, Hyukjae, that's your problem," I looked t him surprised,"you only look at things the way your eyes show you, but what about your essence? Your mind? Why don't you let them see?"
"What are you talking about Donghae?" I couldn't help but laugh.
"Here let me show you, give me your hand," he extended his hand so I could take it. I hesitated for a bit. "Come on Hyukjae, let me show you how I see the world." His smile was sincere and it made me feel like the most fortunate person.
"Just so you know I watch a lot of horror movies, I know how to act," I joked and took his hand with no further hesitation.
"Hyukjae if I were to kill you in any way I'd rather do it fr
