A Resolve Through GrowthJanuary 15th, 2013

If a tree had memories, this one scene would be a strong sense of nostalgia. The little girl has grown up, but is still little in her own way. The taller person she is dragging by the wrist is not a man, but her lovely partner in crime.
“Wendy, slow down! This all seems silly!”
Wendy’s shorter legs were proving to be a hassle for Joy who was tired of being dragged around.
“Why didn’t we just taste the cookies in the kitchen like normal people?”
Wendy was speeding towards the tree with a tin filled with fresh cookies in hand. After much hassle, they finally reached the base of the tree.
“Hey, Dad! I didn’t add raisins to my new recipe, maybe you would have liked this one.”
Wendy finally opened the tin and gave a cookie to Joy. The smell was fantastic and one Wendy hopes will fill up her own bakery one day. Both took a bite with high hopes, but their chews slowed down significantly after the first few chews.
“Joy… did we forget the sugar?”
“I think so.”
They both had the manners to not speak with their mouth full, but this was an exception. Both jogged back to the kitchen to create another batch.
11:00 am
“It has been a while. Is that... cookies I smell?”
