The weekend was positively blissful, it was as if our hidden problems vanished and all that mattered was us. The feeling was ghostly, truly unforgettable. It filled my heart with warmth, excitement and passion. It was as if I were stuck in an endless dream, a delicate dream, where I refuse to gain consciousness. We were untouchable, however, all good things must come to an end.

It was a Sunday night, Jennie left a few hours ago with Mark, it was their 'date night.' The pain of watching her exit my apartment was just a reminder that the dream has ended and that I am now forced to exist in this cold, brutal world called, reality.

I lay silently on my bed staring at the empty, cold ceiling, feeling nothing but pain in my chest. I shut my eyes tight, trying to contain my tears, refusing to let them fall.

Breathe Lisa, breathe.

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket, notifying me that Jennie has posted a picture on instagram. I click on the icon,

"Oh," I whisper, instantly feeling my tears fall on my cheeks. I hastily wipe them away, refusing to feel weak, but failing as I feel more tears cascade down my cheeks.It was a picture of her and Mark on their date, smiling fondly at each other, with a caption that says,

'Date Night! Thankful for you :*'

I throw my phone away hastily, no longer being able to handle the pain of seeing them together again. I should feel happy that my best friend has finally found someone that she loves, but I can only feel misery. It was as if a blade went through my chest. I clutch my chest, choking back a sob,

"Stop crying," I whisper to myself. Desperately wanting to get rid of this excrusiating pain, I stand up and rush towards my kitchen, opening my fridge and grabbing two bottles of beers. I walk back to the bedroom, only to see my phone lighting up, indicating that someone was calling. I look at the caller ID and see that it was one of my good friend, Park Chaeyoung. I wipe my tears away slowly grab my phone, debating if I should answer it or not. After a few more rings, I finally decide to answer the phone,

"Hello?" I put the beers down and sit on the floor, leaning my back on my bed.

"Hey girl! You busy?" She asks,

"No, why?"

"I was thinking of going to a club tonight! You down?" She says excitedly. I softly chuckle,

"On a Sunday night?" I ask, I hear laugh,

"Hell yeah! So you down?" I scratch my head,

"I don't know, I have classes in the morning," I say. I smile when I hear her groan in annoyance,

"Oh come on Lis! It'll be fun!" I don't reply for a few seconds, I look up and see a picture of Jennie and I smiling brightly to the camera. I feel the ache in my chest return and scoff,

"You know what? it, I'm down."
