“I’m sorry for not replying you…” Irene lowered her head and joined Seulgi on the ledge with her back facing her. Irene wasn’t trying to be rude. She just couldn’t bring herself to face Seulgi.

“Why now? … Why is it only now that you contact us?” Seulgi hissed, her voice full of hurt and anger.

“I wasn’t ready before…” Irene said.

Seulgi didn’t understand but was too tired to chase for answers.

“Then the message… you saw my instagram DM… Why didn’t you at least give me an answer rather than rejecting me so coldly?” Seulgi asked.

“I… I wasn’t trying to reject you. How do I explain it… I just needed alone time. I was happy that you confessed because I liked you back but I wanted to make sure…” Irene tried to explain.

“Make sure?” Seulgi asked.

“Make sure that I wasn’t loving you back because I was in a vulnerable state and making sure that you liked me for me.” Irene said.
