“꼭 가야 돼? 약속 취소하면 안 돼?” 수호가 나에게 애원했다. “그냥 둘이서 가, 나는 왜 같이 가야 되는데...?”.

“데이트 간지 얼마나 됐지? 엄청 오래 됐지?” 나는 웃었다.

“그렇게 오래 안 됐어...” 수호가 팔짱을 꼈다.

“마지막은 언제였지?” 내가 눈썹을 찌푸렸다.

“알았어, 갈게.. 근데 그 녀석... 세훈이... 내 스타일 아닌 것 같아...” 수호가 말해서 포기했다.

“해 봐야 알지” 수호에게 눈짓을 했다.

그다음 토요일에 커피숍에서 만났다. 경수의 옷이 특별하게 잘 다림질해지고 경수의 머리가 아주 깔끔하게 빗질해졌다. 진짜 귀여웠다. 내가 웃을 수밖에 없었다.

“안녕.” 내가 부끄럽게 인사했다. 왜 그렇게 부끄러운지 잘 몰랐다.

“수호 형, 안녕하세요, 와 줘서 너무 고마워요.” 세훈이 수호의 옆에 붙이고 아주 큰 미소를 지었다. “오늘 정말 재미있을 거에요!”. 수호가 나한테 도와 달라고 눈으로 말했다. 내가 그냥 웃었다. 세훈이 수호를 엄청 좋아하나 보았다. 어리지만 정말 잘 생겼다. 키도 크고 어깨도 넓고 남자다웠다.

“내가 살 테니까 자리 잡아 줘요.” 수호가 세훈에게 말했다. 세훈 옆에 있는 것이 아주 불편해하는 것 같았다.

“네!!!” 세훈이 활발하게 대답했다. “형, 말 놔요, 형이니까...” 덧붙이고 자리 잡으로 갔다.

“종인아...” 내가 같이 자리 잡으로 갈 수 있기 전에 수호가 내 팔을 잡았다. “그 녀석 옆에 앉고 싶지 않아, 네 옆자리 내꺼다, 알았지?”.

그런데 수호가 음료수를 가지고 올 때 세훈 옆자리만 비었다. 내가 경수 옆에 앉았기 때문이다. 수호가 나에게 화난 눈빛을 보내고 세훈 옆에 앉았다. 앉자마자 세훈이 수호의 손을 잡았다. 수호가 심장마비를 당하고 있는 것 같은 모습이었다. 내가 경수의 손을 흘겨보았다. 나도 해 보고 싶었다. 어떤 느낌인지 상상해 보았다. 그때 경수가 내 손을 잡았다. 심쿵했다.

“I'll buy the drinks, so go find us some seats.” Suho told Sehun. Suho looked uncomfortable having him stuck to his side.

“Okay!!” Sehun answered energetically. “Hyung, speak comfortably, since you're my hyung...” he added and went to find them seats.

“Jongin-ah....” I was about to go with him to find seats when Suho grabbed my arm. “I don't want to sit next to that guy, the seat next to you is mine, okay?”.

But when Suho came back with the drinks, the only free seat was next to Sehun. Because I sat next to Kyungsoo. Suho sent me an angry look and sat down next to Sehun.
