I think?
Another TrySEUNGWAN
“Hey.” I say as soon as I see Seulgi sitting on our favorite corner of the restaurant. The table is full of food already but I don’t feel like eating. I loss appetite. I don’t dare tell Seulgi though. I don’t want to ruin her mood too.
“Wan, I ordered our favorites. I know it’s not Friday but do you want to drink some beer?” She asks happily.
“Sure. That would be great. I feel like drinking too.” Seulgi looks at me intently. She knows me. We’ve been friends for years. She’s been with me through my ups and downs. I know she knows something is bothering me. She won’t ask though. If she knows me well, I know her too. She won’t ask questions unless I spill first. That’s what I’m thankful for.
We were eating and talking about work and life when a familiar song played throughout the restaurant. Seulgi looked at me worriedly. I tried to act like I’m not affected and continued talking about this really big client I have but the more I hear the song, the more distracted I am. I stopped talking and drank the whole bottle of beer in one go. I need to get rid of these thoughts. It’s been what, 4 years?
Finally, the song stopped playing.
“Let’s go home, Wan. We still have work tomorrow.” Seulgi was preparing to go when I suddenly asked. “Seul, please tell me honestly, did I make the right decision?” She was dumbfounded. She knows what I’m talking about but I never asked
