“What took you so long?” Minseok asked Baekhyun as he saw his best friend walk through the doors to the office. Baekhyun smiled, telling him that he would explain after he handed out all the coffee. A few minutes later when everything was handed out and not a single thank you from anyone, Minseok pulled Baekhyun into the breakroom, making sure that no one heard them.

“Before you explain to me why you were half an hour late, than you usually are on coffee runs, you need to tell me why you do these tasks and errands for people who are never grateful?” Baekhyun sighed having been asked this question too many times before, answer always the same each time “You know I hate to disappoint people hyung, if I tell them no then they’d be upset, plus I don’t mind doing little favours for people to make things just a little easier for them.”

Minseok closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. He doesn’t know how many more times he can take trying to explain to his soft hearted and precious best friend that it is not his job to be doing favours for people who wouldn’t even give him a little gratitude. “I’m sorry I’m like this,” Baekhyun apologized after he realised how angry his best friend was. He knows Minseok is just looking out for him, but it’s hard-telling people no.

“From now on, as long as I’m around, you’re going to learn how to reject people especially those ungrateful s you just went on a coffee run for,” Minseok had a determined look on his face now. Baekhyun couldn’t help but giggle because Minseok’s serious face somehow still made him look like an adorable kitten.

He couldn’t refuse that face, plus he realised that maybe it would be ok to say no sometimes, because honestly, Baekhyun doing favors for people was pretty tiring as he also had to do his own work on top of it. Maybe his best friend was right “Ok hyung, you can teach me how to reject people without feeling like I have upset or disappointed them,” Baekhyun replied pinching Minseok’s cheeks “Now stop pouting, I brought your favourite muffin.”

The only other thing Yixing loved in this world besides his grandmother, was his beautiful girlfriend Juliette. They have been together for 6 years and Yixing couldn’t be happier, so when he heard that she was returning to Korea from France after being there for a year furthering her career in ballet, he knew this was the best moment to propose to her. After wrapping up all his work that he had to do at his company, he cleared the rest of rest of schedule and went ring shopping with Kyungsoo.

It took them about 3 hours because Yixing insisted that it had to be perfect and represent his angelic girlfriend. After six long years, the time has finally come to propose to the love of his life.

“Hey Sir, I forgot to ask earlier, what had you in such a good mood earlier when you came to work? You’re never that happy in the morning,” Kyungsoo jokingly asked his boss. “Oh, I met a guy earlier, he bumped into me and spilled my coffee all over my new suit, I was pretty angry but the guy was so flustered, he kept apologizing and offered to buy me coffee,” Kyungsoo saw the way Yixing looked, explaining what happened this morning with this small twinkle in his eye, he would have missed it, if he wasn’t paying such close attention to him.

“and he also kept rambling, it was pretty funny actually, you should have seen him Soo, you probably would have been blinded by his smile, I don’t know, seeing him smile made me smile for some reason, I’m sure has a lot of friends, he’s just too bright, like sunshine,” Yixing himself didn’t even realise he was rambling about someone he only met briefly. Someone who had such a big impact on him in such a short while, but Yixing didn’t know that, however Kyungsoo did.

His boss was pretty cold after his girlfriend left to France, never really smiling as much unless he was talking to Juliette on the phone. But this person Kyungsoo has yet to meet has impacted his boss in a way that he couldn’t help but be curious about what kind of person is this stranger that Yixing met. If he could make Yixing smile like that, then he must be special.
