"A relationship like a roller coaster" an old woman with a big crystal ball said to one of the three person in front of her

"a relationship like a roller coaster?" The petite lady in the middle asked in confused tone with her eyebrow coming together while the other two just listen attentively with teasing smile on their face

The old woman answered while looking to her crystal "There is anxiety and fog within your heart" she paused a little and then continue "And when that clears up, someone will knock and open a new door for you, that person will be your best and worst fated person" she said looking into that pair of brown eye's before finishing her sentence

"Best and worst?" she asked more confused

"Yes! That's why it's like a rollercoaster" she answered positively and give them a smile

"What's with that fortune telling? I can't tell if its good or not" the petite lady asked her friends as they walked in the crowed away from the booth

"At least you have a fated person Pie" a boy acting like a girl answered then sigh deeply before continuing "she said I have a bad luck stuck with me in finding a good boyfriend" he said with a sulky face

"That is because you pick men just based on their looks" the other girl answer "but hey, why i'll only get married after 9 years, is that even real? I'll be in my too old that time" she added sadly

"Oh common your only 20 plus 9 years equals 29, be happy your not in your 30's when it happens" the girly boy answered

"I think i'll pass on love for the time being" the lady named pie said to her friends

"Your so negative, huh? Why?" One of her friend asked curiously

"you have someone you can't forget?" the lady boy asked suspiciously while raising her right eyebrow slowly

"Since we met you pie, you never tried to date anyone nor give any of your suitor a chance"

Pie just answered with just a small smile on her face to avoid more question

"A fateful encounter happened unexpected" this words was heard coming from the advertisement screen placed on the wall of a tall building

"Oooh! it's Van Yupanun" the lady boy said squealing as he looks at the big screen

"Your right, he looks cool huh?" The girl answered

While pie just watch the commercial playing

"And very handsome too jane, I wanna try going out with someone like him" he said day dreaming with twinkling eye

"It will be impossible for you p'boy" the woman named jane said mockingly

I just answered my friends with a smile on my face to avoid interrogation, lucky me there attention was transferred to an advertisement

"A fateful encounter happened unexpected"

"Oooh! it's Van Yupanun" my friend boy said squealing while looking to our right

I turn my head and saw the big advertisement screen hanging on the side of a tall building

My friends is talking but my focus was fix into the ad

("Why must be separated") narration started
- 'Yeah, why I must be separated with the person I love?' I asked myself
("I'll come for you") the artist said in the trailer
- that is what I also heard before that made me wait and hang for so long
('The Eternal Lover') title of the movie shown in the screen
- I sigh and asked myself again 'do the word eternal is real?'

"Come back to earth" boy said while shaking my shoulder that wakes me up from my thoughts

Pie POV

I am greeting back everyone who greets me with a smile 😊 and a nod while I was half running my way to G.A.C. Hotel.

It is a leading hotel chain managed by a well founded family, it has around 8000 employee.

The overall Managing Director is Michael Apitha, while his sister Jam Apitha is just a self appointed Director

I heard that if you want to have a high position you have to bleed for it, I mean literally bleed for it but it doesn't concern me though because I was just one of their ordinary employee.

I went directly to the employee's locker room to immediately changed into our uniform and make my way to our department after that.

As i enter the room I saw everyone is going back to their own desk

"Your Late!" Someone greeted me with a very authoritatively way that makes me t
"Your Late!" Someone greeted me with a very authoritatively way that makes me trembling "I told you to be here at least 30 minutes earlier on days with event" my boss said in a very demanding voice

"Y-es, I'm so-orry" I said stuttering while I bowed my head slightly

"Today's event was moved from 2PM to 1PM, is the preparation for the room done?" That question puts me into panicked

"I'll confirm it now" I answered quickly as I turned my back

"Why didn't you do that in advance!?" that makes me stop and turn my head back "I already did that, There's wasn't enough chairs" my boss again with strick 

Oh crap? She already checked? But why needs to ask me again? does it always needed to be slapped in my face? I said to my self

"Is that so?" I suddenly blurted out unconsciously "Why is that?" I said in a low voice not knowing what to response

"Don't space out!" My boss commanding voice startled me "Go run to the store room and take out more chairs" that voice is likely to be obeyed

"Yes boss" I answered and quickly turn my back and run but then

"Don't run in the hall!" He shouted, like I'm being scolded by my parent for doing something inappropriate that made me stop running and walk instead

After around 4 steps, I look back at my boss who's now making a way to the pantry then i heard my 2 colleagues chat as they walk towards my direction
 

"Our boss looks so cool" girl 1 said while giggling"

"Yeah and very handsome too" the other girl answered with a wide smile

I hiss with what I heard "looks so cool, huh? If they only knew how ungentle, sadistic and cruel that person is" i said to myself as i remember the things that made me hate our handsome boss, what? No! Erase that! I mean rude boss! 


FLASHBACK 1

I was in a hurry waiting for the lift to open "TING" I enter after 2 people went out but suddenly someone enters immediately and carelessly that bumps me in my side "Aah" I said almost shouting because I almost fell on the floor "Aren't you.."

"Sorry" said in flat tone interrupting me

"looking where are you going?" I said continuing what I was saying

the person didn't even bother to look at me but instead just looks at the time in the watch placed in his left wrist

So rude I said to my self "Hey even if you have a luxurious watch it doesn't mean that your time is more precious than us! If you are in a hurry, I am too!" I said irritably but got no response

I was about to say more when the elevator got crowded that made me pushed backward, then I felt something in my buttocks

then  before the door someone fatty came shouting "wait! Wait for me" she was able to enter pushing herself through that makes everyone compressed more, I felt the thing behind me more

i know someone is touching me because i also feel the keychain of my cellphone move it is inside my pants back pocket.

The elevator make an alarm noise same time I shouted "ert!" as I turn around going to face that person

Instead of a response I receive an innocent look but I return the look with a death glare and I felt all eyes in the elevator is focused on us, I see the jaw in front of me twitch before saying "I'm not harassing anyone, I'm not even making a single move" firmly while he look down showing his self

I follow the direction of the two pair of eyes in front of me and saw his hands safely placed inside of his side pockets "Wh-aat? Eeer.. who?" i said stuttering then i felt my keychain move again when I look at my side I saw a small figure reaching trying to play with it

Before I could say something the arrogant person in front of me said with monotone "What a Dirty mind mind" then everyone laugh

But Thanks to someone "anyone wants to go out? Will gonna be late?" She said

To save myself from being embarrassed I volunteer my self and later that day I found out that she is a she and will be my boss.

FLASHBACK 2

I was carrying a heavy box containing the materials that we will be needing for our event,

I place it to the ground and sit while I wait for the elevator.

When i heard "TING" i stand up, pick the box and look at the elevator door opening

When I was about to make my step, suddenly someone walk pass at me and went inside the elevator turn his head to me "go use the stairs" my boss commanded seriously while pressing a button to close the door leaving me behind

Not bothering to help me is very ungentlemanly and then commanding me to use the stair is insane.

I have a heavy luggage with me and my destination is located in the 15th floor of the building

FLASHBACK 3

"You forgot the letter 'U' in the word congratulation" a voice said seriously behind my back

i look at the banner posted in middle of the stage and saw the word "CONGRATLATION", oh shoot "U" is really missing

"Only you would make such a ludicrous spelling error Ms.Pie Mindara" my boss said disappointedly and leave shaking her head while murmuring something not waiting for my answer

'can it be just consider a typographical error?' Is all I can say to myself


FLASHBACK 4

There is a time when the CEO is making his round, we lined up and bowed our head, when my boss suddenly hold my head and push it down in a ungentle manner that makes me ache my back until the next day.


FLASHBACK 5

I was sitting in front of my desk when the telephone ring

"Yes, Hello this is G.A.C. Hotel's event management event department" I said as soon as I pick up the telephone

Someone walk pass behind me and saying "No 'HELLO' needed" emphasizing the word hello. when i turned my head i saw the back of that person

"Can I get your name, please?" I said to the person on the other line

"May I ask for" someone said correcting me again while walking pass at me

"Yes" the only word i uttered while turning my head looking to my boss who always watch me if I do wrong

And each and every time of an occurrence happened that boss of mine always say:

"How many times do I have to say it?"

Followed by "Are you stupid?" Or "You're stupid aren't you? Miss Pie Mindara?"

Argghhhh "Die" 😠 I said as I punch my air punching bag with a picture of my boss attach to it.

I was at home now, after work I always spend some time doing some work out, this became a hobby to showered my irritation caused by my boss

"Die Kimhan Burnaphan" 😠 I shouted my boss name while making another punch in her face, at least by doing this I was able to lessen my stress 😥

Another event day come

"So your child is allergic to dairy products right?" I asked our client while they settle themselves in their table

"Yes" the father answered immediately "thank you, much appreciated for putting attention to it" he said with a warm smile

"So the vegetables, they're all organic, right?" The mother asked politely

Oh no i forgot to check, i face palm myself internally "well. . . Ple-ase let me check" I answered stuttering a little and start to walk fast towards my boss direction

"High class customers always have lots of specific needs" she said as soon as i reached her side without even looking at me 

Sometimes she amaze me, well just a little because it seem that she knows everything, she is only 23 years old and already has a high position unlike me I am already 26 and stuck being an ordinary employee

Well you heard me right she is a she a handsome she as they say and also charming, but no not for me because I see her as a monster, yeah a big ugly gorilla

"Didn't you confirm it before hand?" She ask that wakes me up from my thoughts

"I'm sorry, my mind was fixated on the allergy" I said in a low voice, I know i'm wrong

"Can't you focus on more than one thing at once?" She asked again still not looking at me, what a rude person right? But I can't complain what she said is true, I focused on one thing and forgot the other important details
"Your brain capacity is not more than a dog's" she added

I knit my brow and asked her confusedly what does she mean by that "D-og?" I asked for clarification

"You have 30 minutes until the organic local grocery closes" she answered

I look at my watch and saw that it is already 6:30pm, that put me into alert she is right the only shop that provide organic vegetable will close at 7 o'clock

I rush my way to the shop but the screen door is close already, oh no I am late

I was about to give up when I heard someone says goodbye, i turned around and saw the truck of the organic shop is about to leave

Ting! 💡💡💡

I got an idea i rode a 3 wheel motor that is used in transferring vegetables, then stop right in front of the approaching truck

"This salad is made from organic vegetable from the province of Laguna" I happily said with a wide smile 😊

"Thank you! It looks delicious" the lady from earlier answered with a happy tone

"Please take this as a present" i said when i gave them some souvenirs

"Thank you so much, this look amazing" the man answered politely

"Enjoy your meal" i said excusing myself

I walk towards my boss with a huge grin plastered in my face

When I reach her side "If you had confirmed it from the start you wouldn't have to run around" She said with a serious face while looking at the stage
My smile slowly faded as i turn my head to face her "your incredibly inefficient" she added still with her face fix in front

My joy had been killed brutally "I guess your right" i answered with a low shoulder "but a dog wouldn't be able to go this far" that statement suddenly slip out trough my mouth

"I have something to say later" she turn around look at me straight in the eye "wait in the hall" then she leave me dumbfounded

What does she need to tell me? She looks so serious, well she always looks serious but I think i felt there is something different about her when she looks at me a while ago
