The Secret Service

London, United Kingdom.

Still housing designs from the Victorian era, aged stone walls that have watched the country develop over the country’s long-lasting monarch, remain a striking feature to this remarkable landmark. A piece of architecture constructed to perfection.

The Palace of Westminster has been chosen as the venue of the anticipated world conference, in the presence of ministers, members of the United Nations, presidents and delegates.

A school of trumpets resounded into the air, followed by loud drumrolls as red uniformed soldiers marched along the courtyard. Accompanied by horses in silver armor and a parade behind, they paved the road for their esteemed guests.

Crowds of curious, excited civilians and media gathered at the makeshift barricades, watching from the sidelines as ministers exit out of their limbo cars, one by one. Journalists would attempt to push in for an interview while guards would block their eager efforts, as no questions will be answered until the conference is over.

From Russia to Indonesia, representatives from each country exited one by one, as they are lead into the Palace. The next limbo to drive up into the courtyard, is South Korea.

“The Prime Minister is approaching the entrance. Stay alert.” The radio buzzed as Irene stood at the balconies, watching from the shadows.

At the other end was her other member, Wendy. Her eyes scanning through a binocular. “So far, so good.”

“Coast is clear. Proceed.” Namjoo buzzed, this time, at a location much further away from the Palace. In fact, looking through her sniper scope, this had been the first time she was this far away from the scene. Hayoung had done an amazing job at upgrading her scope to be able to see from such great lengths. Adjusting her grip, here she was taking shelter in the well-known Big Ben clock tower.

Luckily, the Big Ben has closed down for renovation works a year ago so the sniper did not have to worry about her ears going deaf.

“Nothing suspicious here either.” Hayoung reported, casually leaning onto the pillar, her eyes on the laptop screen which showed all of the security cameras in the palace. Stealing a glance up to the large opening in front of her, it was quite a feat to be able to have such a remarkable view of London from the Big Ben—especially with the person whom she would love to share the experience with, Namjoo.

“Noted. Continue with the mission.” Another man buzzed, walking towards the limbo halted in its tracks as he opened the door, bowing upon greeting the Prime Minister. “Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Moon. I am Choi Siwon who will be guiding you today.”

Inside the palace hall, murmurs of the guests echoed loudly in the spacious dome. In the centre of attention is a large, round table. At the top containing labels of names, country flags and a set of files for the conference later. Also present were five ladies who walked around, blending in as they kept a close eye on every single guest present. They were well-experienced and prepared for the unexpected.

“Where the hell are you, Choi Seunghyun?” Taeyeon grumbled with a sigh, biting her nail anxiously as she stared down, observing the ministers talking to one another. They seemed so happy and comfortable, unaware of the incoming danger.

“He’ll show up eventually.” Sunny came from behind and squeezed her shoulder as a reassurance. She turned to make eye contact with Hyoyeon, Yuri and Yoona who were scattered around, nodding their heads as they continued to be wary of their surroundings.

Although the five experienced agents have done countless of missions like these before, they couldn’t help but to feel anxious. At last, the chime of a bell echoed, signaling the start of the conference. All ministers returned to their seats, along with the presence of the parliament and official members, it was time.

---

Outside the Palace of Westminster, is a black Porsche car. Parked at the side of the road as it blended in with other cars, it was a step away from the building. From here, the entrance gate can be seen clearly as the bustling crowd from before, eagerly waited outside. Journalists sat on the floor with their cameras and mikes, passersby’s tip-toeing their toes to try and catch a glimpse inside while guards stood tall at the front, acting as a shield.

Inside the Porsche is agents Chorong and Bomi, who sat quietly like a predator waiting to catch its prey. Their eyes scanned the crowd in search of anyone suspicious. As vehicles passed by, one caught their eye. A yellow taxi.

Halting its tracks at the far end, a young female walked up and opened the door. Dressed in a long brown coat as a hat hid her face, her other features could still be seen.

One look, and Bomi remembered her.

Jennie Kim.

“Unnie. Follow that taxi.”

“Already on it.” Chorong pulled the handbrake down, stepped onto the accelerator as she steered the wheel to the right, moving the car out of its parking space as they followed the taxi.

A couple blocks away from the Palace of Westminster is the Cathedral of Hope.

A sacred place of worship where one can be close to God, it had absolutely no relation to the events happening at the world conference. However, according to Mr. Lee’s intel, Choi Seunghyun was spotted sitting and listening to the choir just weeks before the conference day. With proof of photographs and CCTV footage captured, his motives are still proven a mystery.

Therefore, Eunji and Naeun were appointed to scout the area in case anything happens. The mystery remains unknown as to why a murderer of thousands was present in such a sacred place. As they sat down and listened to the prayers and choir, it did bring a peace of mind for the couple.

But they must not let their guards down. Observing the priests, nuns and civilians present, they couldn’t help but to feel odd.

“For the holy blessing of God, today, I will perform a ritual!”

The priest suddenly announced, raising his hands high in the air. He smirked, rolling up his sleeves as it revealed a tattoo. A design all too familiar, The Blue Nation.

Immediately, Eunji took out her handgun and was ready to fire a bullet at him. But she held back and observed carefully, wondering what he was up to.

“We will be one with God and he will forgive all of your sins. Today, is the day.” He said, pressing a button he had hidden in his other sleeve.

At that moment, green smoke suddenly filled the cathedral.

Bang!

Eunji fired a bullet right into the priest’s forehead, causing him to plop onto the platform as the nuns gasp in shock, the crowd rushing for the doors. But they were locked tight. It was trap. As the green smoke continued to spread into the atmosphere, the couple crawled out from their seat and took cover behind a pillar. Quickly taking out smoke masks as they covered it over their faces, they peeked over their shoulders only to witness a horror unfold in front of their eyes.

Civilians, priests and nuns alike were coughing and suffocating upon inhaling the green smoke. Their bodies squirmed on the floor as they gasped in a final cry, eyes turning red.

Eunji carefully covered Naeun’s eyes and pulled her close, knowing that this wasn’t fair. There was no choice but to let them be. They could not save them. Instead, the couple had to be prepared for the green smoke, was an upgraded version of the HZO1.

Remembering what Hayoung had briefed them in a meeting, the HZO1 could come in different forms; a drug, a liquid, a sap and a gas. And once inhaled, the victims would be hypnotized like zombies whose only motive is to kill.

It was exactly what Taeyeon had predicted to occur.

“Choi Seunghyun is a sadist. He loves watching people suffer in pain thus, there is a high chance that he will make use of HZO1 to attack innocent civilians. He is proud of his work and will obviously show off its power to the world. We must be careful. Do not succumb to the effects of HZO1 if ever you encounter it. Take the sedatives that Hayoung has produced and make use of the gas mask. We must not let the HZO1 to affect our mission.”

If only they knew that the Cathedral of Hope would become a target of HZO1, the couple would have tried to save the people. But it was far too late.

200 people.

200 infected.

Eunji and Naeun had to take out two hundred innocent civilians who were ready to become wild, vicious beasts ready to attack them. As they are trapped inside the catherdral with no where to run, the agents will now have to begin a massacre of 200, together.

Clicking their guns ready, the couple exchanged a nod, tightly holding their hands before heading out in the open, bullets firing away.

---

Everything seemed to be peaceful up there. For sure, no one would dare to climb up the Big Ben. It was a large, tall clock tower filled with complicated mechanics of large screws, knobs and chains. The large metal bell was filled with decades of rust and whilst the ground isn’t exactly the cleanest spot to sit in, it was in exchange for the marvelous view of London below.

Just two people doing their own duties as agents.

Namjoo threw her whole attention into the scope, occasionally changing different positions as her muscles would get numb. As for Hayoung, her eyes were all on the screen. She resisted the urge of opening up another window to play Pac-Man as the girl knew that this mission was serious business.

But she couldn’t help but to pick up the strange ticking and clinking strange sounds from below. The girl turned around anxiously, but there was no one.

“Unnie…do you hear something?”

“Not really. Why?”

“Damn it, this is making me paranoid as .” Hayoung exasperated, getting up from her comfortable seat as she looked around anxiously, causing Namjoo to take a glance at her member.

“Maybe you’re just hearing things? Don’t get distracted.”

“Maybe I really am hearing things…” Hayoung sighed, bending down to pick up her laptop until she felt the whip of a wind, slicing across her neck slightly. Luckily, the girl stumbled back, only having a sharp blade scratch her skin. “What the fuc-!” But the girl couldn’t respond as she was immediately given a kick to the stomach, causing her to fall to her knees.

“Argh!”

“Hayoung!”

Namjoo immediately let go of her sniper rifle, quickly taking the handgun strapped at her back as she aimed at the attacker. But the attacker was swift, grabbing hold of Namjoo’s wrist and twisted it around. The girl grunted but stayed alert, shoving a knee kick behind as she shoved the attacker towards the wall.

Just as she was about to click her gun, the attacker suddenly pushed and charged her straight to the other side of the wall. The metal clinking loudly from the impact as Namjoo used elbow jabs to free herself. Using her strength, she managed to pull away the black mask, freeing the attacker’s long, blonde hair as it waved through the air.

She caught her eye contact in that split second, her features were all too familiar. It was Lisa. But there was something different about her. Red-shot eyes that were a result of inhaling the NZO1 gas. It appeared that Choi Seunghyun had poisoned the poor child as she had attempted to run away from control. It was a saddening sight but Namjoo had to keep her senses straight, for she is in danger.

Lisa screamed, viciously shoving Namjoo onto the other edge as she threw punches into her torso. The girl hit her head with her handgun and fired one shot at her legs, crippling it. Taking note that Lisa has slowed down her movement, the sniper went straight to Hayoung’s side, helping her to stand up.

“You okay? Gosh, you’re bleeding!” She gasped.

“I’m good. This is nothing. We need to kill her first.” Hayoung said, glancing at Lisa who struggled to stand up. Namjoo nodded and took her handgun, carefully aiming at Lisa. But for some reason, she couldn’t pull the trigger.

Lisa is just a mere child. She was no enemy. She was forced into Choi Seunghyun’s plot and her mind became twisted because of his tortures. If only they had a sedative, Lisa could be free from NZO1. If only-

“Namjoo unnie!” Hayoung screamed, as Lisa threw herself straight into Namjoo with all her remaining might, pushing her down the clock tower.

Vehicles would honk or jerk in a brake as a Porsche and a yellow taxi were caught up in a race, turning zig-zag around the cars as they sped through the London Bridge. In a nick of time, the two cars were now side by side. Chorong and Bomi caught a full gimpse of Jennie seated in the passenger seat with a gun aimed at the poor driver’s head. She was instructing him to drive however she wished in exchange of sparing his life.

Chorong steered left, causing the Porsche to bump into the taxi, while she kept eyes on the road. Bomi on the other hand, rolled the windows down and aimed her pistol at her. But Jennie was quicker.

A bullet fired, causing a clatter onto the metal bar. Bomi fired a bullet back, lightly creasing the taxi door. It was indeed difficult to aim and shoot due to the movements of the two vehicles. Nonetheless, the two continued to fire bullets at each other while the two cars tried to follow a straight line.

“Okay, this.” Bomi reloaded her gun and continued to fire crazily at the door, causing the screws to grow loose and losing its mobility. Soon, the door dropped off, making Jennie an easy target.

“I’m climbing over! Unnie, keep driving!” The agent grunted, opening the door widely as she daringly leaped over. She stretched her arms wide and caught hold of Jennie’s pistol. Now inside the car, Bomi used her left arm to hold onto the railing while the rest of her body would actively engage in a fight. Jennie’s gun would waver about, shooting bullets to the roof of the taxi while the driver who kept a very anxious face, kept driving nonetheless.

“Let- go of me!” Jennie breathed, still having much energy as she easily bended her body, slithering her way out of Bomi’s grip. She quickly opened the door from the backseat and leaped onto the Porsche.

“Chorong unnie!”

With quick reflexes, Bomi turned around and leaped across, catching hold of the ledge as her body dangled down, feet almost touching the surface of the road. But Jennie stood up tall on the roof, steadily aiming her pistol at her.

In an effort to save her, Chorong suddenly steered the wheel to the right, forced the Porsche up onto the barricades as the vehicle leaped into the lake below. Both Jennie and Bomi stumbled, falling out as they dived into the water with a loud splash.

“…Therefore I would like to highlight the following topics for today.” Mr. Moon announced, standing on the podium as it was his turn to address several issues, representing South Korea. While the hall remained silent as delegates looked on, the tension was high.

Siwon, who stayed close to Mr. Moon’s side was ready. Even if he had to sacrifice his life to protect the president, he will gladly do so, for the sake of honor.

“…We as a nation, have always expressed much gratitude to the kind acts of our British allies- “

A grenade rolled over.

“Mr. President!” Siwon yelled, pulling the president away. In a split second, security guards were vigilant and quick, sheltering the guests as a green smoke seeped through the air. At one glance, all of the Secret Service agents knew that it was NZO1. They had to get everyone out of the Palace before it spreads.

“Get them out of here!” Siwon instructed, handing Mr. Moon over to Irene as they escaped through the backdoor. The rest of the Daegu team members took duty and urged everyone out. Everything was handled well just like they had planned, no chaos and simply in a calm manner.

In the smoke mask that they have come prepared in, Siwon regrouped with the five agents who got ready as they were expecting an old enemy.

“What a pity.”

A voice mumbled through the spacious air, walking down the grand staircase in his proud armor. As the green smoke soon cleared itself, Choi Seunghyun presented himself to the Secret Service agents.

“It’s been a long time hasn’t it?” He cackled, his eyes scanning across the six agents standing before him. But in his eyes, there was not one bit of fear. The man was full of confidence, ready to shed blood.

“You should’ve died back then.” Taeyeon said, clicking her gun. “I can’t believe God has allowed you to live again.”

“Hah!” The man laughed. “God? What nonsense are you speaking? YOU are speaking to GOD HIMSELF!” He bellowed with a wrath, raising his arms in the air as he clenched his fist tightly, causing his armor to electrify with power. A spark of light flashed across, a heat stronger than fire slashed across the hallway as the agents easily dodged it.

The impact left nothing but grey ashes behind. It was truly a power weapon within an armor.

“What the hell?!” Hyoyeon exasperated, surprise clearly written all over her face.

“Humans are such simple beings. Show your power and they will bow to you. Give them money and you are free to control them however you wish. They are so easy to cheat and deceive, it’s just funny.” The man walked slowly towards the agents, step by step.

Firing normal bullets at him was no use. They deflected off like air, not even landing a scratch on his power armor.

“Blue Nation is over, Choi Seunghyun. It’s time to stop.” Taeyeon said, carefully taking out another gun which contains bullets that Hayoung had designed. The ones capable of penetrating through his shield.

“Oh, it was fun while it lasted.” The man chuckled, before glaring back at Taeyeon. “But, there is still one more thing on the list. You.” He pointed at the lady, ready to shoot another ray of fire towards her.

“Me?” Taeyeon smirked, pointing the gun at him. “You’ll never be able to kill me, Seunghyun.” She pulled the trigger, sending the bullet through his armor as in a second, it exploded into flames.

Choi Seunghyun staggered, eyes widened as a hole sizzled through his metal cover. But before he could react, Taeyeon shot another.

And another.

“W-What is this?!” The man grunted, witnessing himself being lit in flames, forcing himself to fall to his knees.

“You are not God.” Taeyeon scoffed, aiming at his head. She was ready to end it all. She will not leave any more mistakes behind. The lady of experience, will finish the job. “You are just a ing sadist.”

As she was about to pull the trigger, Choi Seunghyun suddenly swallowed something dwon his throat.

Secretly ingesting a black pill earlier, it was his last resort. Unlike the NZO1 which has become known among The Secret Service, there was still one that was yet to be shined under the light. It was more of B.I’s dying gift to the leader who had prepare it in emergency needs, but at the cost of his life.

The Nero Pill. Once consumed, these induced the levels of his agility and strength. In other words, turning Choi Seunghyun into an absolute, raging beast. He would feel no pain, no longer human. The effects were immediate and as the man lost his conscious in a blink, he used the remaining of his might to charge straight into the one he wanted to kill so much.

“Taeyeon!”

---

Two hundred is a massive number.

But on the bright side, these 200 were unarmed and proved to be slightly easier for the couple. It felt more like a training exercise.

As the intoxicated nuns, priests and worshippers crawl and surround around the couple like zombies, Eunji and Naeun were back to back, relying and covering for each other. Like a dance, the couple would twist and turn, shifting from left and right as bullets flew from one direction to the other.

200 went down quickly to 100. Then, 50 and in a blink, 20. But it took a toll on their stamina as the couple were drained.

“Good thing they’re slow.” Eunji caught her breath, the two stayed in the corner of the cathedral, leaning their backs onto the pillars. “You okay, babe?” She turned her attention to her girlfriend who definitely had a lower stamina pool. She patted her back gently, offering encouragement.

Naeun nodded, her breaths could be heard quietly through the air. But she was feeling slightly odd. Perhaps, she is just tired.

“Twenty more. They’re coming, get ready.” The hot-headed agent clicked her gun but it ran out of bullets. “Great.” She sighed, tossing it away as she charged forward with her fists. The girl took the lead, vaulting across the benches and sending hard kicks to their faces. Moving freely like the wind, she threw another one and punches following after. In no time, she knocked down ten enemies.

Ten more to go.

“Want to take the rest?” Eunji asked, turning around to look at her girlfriend. But she noticed something off. She was breathing too heavily and her face was turning pale. It was worrying her.

Quickly, she dashed over to her side, kneeling down and as her eyes scanned her face. Eunji carefully took out the mask covering her face, as the green smoke had long evaporated into the atmosphere. It was safe to breathe the air.

“Babe. Look at me.” She cooed gently, parting Naeun’s sweaty strands of hair as she would cup her face. Eunji looked carefully into her brown orbs that were graying in a tint of red.

There was no way. As much as she did not want to deny it, they were signs of NZO1. Naeun did not put on her smoke mask properly and in time, the green gas had secretly seeped in.

Eunji knew that her girlfriend was clumsy, but she never thought it would end up like this.

“. Alright, babe. Wait here. I’ll finish the rest and come back to you. Don’t worry, I got the sedative so you’ll be fine.” She gently held onto her hand for reassurance, before turning around and charging back into the battlefield.

The hot-headed agent still had a lot of energy, easily knocking down the remaining ten with flexible, quick kicks and punches. Eunji made sure that they were dead by nudging their hands and feet. She surely did not want to be surprised from behind like the zombie movies she had seen.

“Alright. Now, to her.” The agent dusted her hands off, twirling her feet around as she got ready to run over to Naeun’s side. But instead, she froze. “Oh, no, babe. Don’t do that.” She mumbled, raising her hands in the air as Naeun aimed her pistol at her.

It clicked.

“Naeun! Don’t do it!”

The HZO1 had already infected the agent and she could no longer have a sense of her surroundings. The only thing on her mind, was the motive to kill.

“Naeun-! “Eunji charged at her girlfriend, hoping that she would be quick enough to stop it.

..

.

Bang!
