I'm scared to tell Yongguk what happened, but I call him anyway to tell him about tomorrow night. I get more and more nervous with each phone ring.

'Yes, this is Bang Yongguk speaking.'

(Ah...!)

When I hear his deep voice on the other end of the line my heart feels like it's going to fly out the window.

"Um... Sorry to bother you. It's Daehyun."

'Daehyun? What's up?'

"Well..."

I somehow manage, despite my nerves, to tell him about how demanding Im Nayeon was and how I was forced to make an appointment for tomorrow, a weekday. He listens the whole time, interrupting only with an occasional, 'kay' or 'oh'. I can't tell if he's angry or upset or anything from his tone.

"I really am so sorry! I'm sorry I made the appointment without checking with you first. I'm sure you're busy that night. Um, if you don't want to see her tomorrow I can call her right now and cancel."

Yongguk answers in a calm voice.

'Don't worry about whether or not I have time. I'll handle things on my end. Is Yesung there? If he is, put him on. We'll talk about it.'

"Um, but this is all my fault, so I want to..."

Yongguk's tone gets a bit firmer.

'Put Yesung on.'

"Oh..."

(I knew it. He's mad at me for messing up.)

"Okay. I'll put him on. I really am sorry, Mr. Bang."

I say quickly. I sense Yongguk's tone soften a little.

'You're new. It's only natural to make mistakes.'

"Mr. Bang... Thank you."

I feel a bit rescued as I turn the phone over to Yesung. Yesung told me later, that he and Yongguk would handle everything. So I end up quietly withdrawing from the Im Nayeon fiasco.

I'm on my way to the train station after finishing work at Rose for the day.

(Yesung called Nayeon over and over after that, but he couldn't get a hold of her. I wonder what happened?)

I call Yesung again, unable to shake my curiosity. I find out that Yongguk is going to slip out of work tomorrow to go see Nayeon.

(I sure messed things up for him. I want to tell him I'm sorry. If I can, I'd like to apologize face to face. But how can I? I won't see him again until this weekend.)

"I know.
