He solemnly stacked the folders that were left on the desk as his eyes involuntarily looked up out the door where the couple had just left. He was use to being the last one in the office now for it had become a routine the past few months. They would show up to work and their professionalism was displayed as they focused on their own tasks, keeping their hands off each other on most days. He remembers trying to hide his laughter as his almighty boss would beg her in hopes for them to leave early and no matter how much she would scold him to finish his work, they would soon grab their things and leave.

It warmed his heart that before they would leave, she would turn around and ask him if he wanted to tag along. He would tell her he was busy or tired because he did not want to interfere on their dates. She would pout before running up to him to give him a quick hug much to Seunghyun's contempt. He likes it, but he really wished that she wouldn't because the moment she leaves, he feels empty. He would be left pondering if pushing her into his arms was really worth the hurt that he feels. However, he shakes the thought out of his head as he replaces it with the image of Seunghyun's dorky and happy side he sees when Yoona is around him and it makes his selfishness seem incomparably little.

He got the couple out of his mind as he heard his phone ring. Looking at the caller ID, he immediately picked it up.

/What is it Yoona?/ he couldn't help but sound irritated the moment he picked the phone up. He realized his his mistake when she had stayed silent, He ruffled his hair as he sighed, /I'm sorry, I'm just tired Yoona/

/So you won't come to the barbecue tonight?/

He could sense the disappointment in her tone. /I don't know-/

/Oppa, can I ask you something?/ she continued gently

/Of course/

/Do you not like me being with Seunghyun so often? Or do you not like being around me anymore? I honestly never see you anymore outside of work and you always excuse yourself from any invitations./

/It's not that-/

/I miss you Ji, and i would really like you here tonight/

He would always have a soft spot for her as he cracked a smile. /Have you gotten sick of Seunghyun already?/

Her melodious giggle echoed over the line. /Oppa!/

/I'll head over soon alright?/

/Hurry! Or I'm going to eat all the food/

/I'm racing over then/ he teased

/Bye oppa/ she laughed

/Bye Yoona/

When he had arrived, he was glad to see the many cars parked there, indicating that all of their friends were there and he wouldn't be left alone with the couple.

He immediately made his way to the backyard, where he saw a blazing campfire and everyone surrounding it as they sat, sipping on their beer and talking. It was perfect for the weather had been turning colder lately.

As he stared at the group of friends, noting that Yuri was absent, he didn't notice the person on the side as she popped up in front of him, causing him to stumble back in surprise.

"Oppa! You made it" she beamed as she grabbed his arm and led him to the group.

"I was kind of forced to come you know"

"Bwuh?" She snarled as she lightly hit his arm before skipping to her seat.

He was greeted warmly by everyone as he immediately went down to sit next to Taeyang, which of course, had to be right across from Seunghyun and Yoona. He was just glad that they were careful with their physical display of affection because of the big crowd in front of them. 

He remembered to give his greetings to halmeoni who was there but what he didn't expect was for Mrs. Choi to be there as well as he gave her a light nod as he saw her wandering around.

"Anyways, like I was saying," Tiffany began. "We all need to go shopping for Seunghyun's party!"

Yoona smiled as she slyly leaned into him in which Jiyong caught but tried to ignore.

"You're becoming an old man" she whispered to him.

He hid his grin as his fingers poked at her sides, causing her to twitch in amusement. "You'll be stuck with this old man for awhile, think you can handle it?"

"I don't think I can" she joked.

"You'll be getting it from me later"

"I'm so scared-"

"Yoona! This conversation is about you but you're not even paying attention!" Sunny had interrupted them.

She heard halmeoni's chuckle behind her as she found herself smiling. "I'm sorry, what were we talking about?"

"Maybe you shouldn't have been flirting with your boyfriend!"

Her eyes darted to Seunghyun for she didn't know that anyone apart from Jiyong and the family knew.

"It was too obvious, so we interrogated him until he cracked" Daesung had explained when he noticed her expression.

"Okay enough with that! You're going to go shopping with us tomorrow morning right?"

"If I could get out of work" she glanced at the person beside her.

"Quit hogging her to yourself and just let her off for a day" Sooyoung had scolded Seunghyun.

He rolled his eyes, a sign of defeat.

"And then we're going to head to Seohyun's house were we'll all get ready for the event then leave together. Sound good?"

"Perfect" she flashed her pearly whites, wanting to finish the conversation quickly.

Jiyong caught her tapping her foot and holding her stomach, as his lips twitched upwards.

"Guys, I'm starving, I think it's time to eat" he had decided to speak up for her because he knew she wouldn't say a word.

She was the first to her feet, her eyes beaming as she hopped over to the table where the food was stacked. There was a huge table on the patio where some chose to sit there if they got food from the barbecue, while others sat on the benches around the fire to roast and some were standing and eating. Music was played as the speakers outside supplied it.

She juggled the plates in her arms as she dismissed her boyfriend at the table who had signaled for her to sit by him and instead, made her way to Jiyong who was sitting by the fire.

"I'm glad you came oppa"

Anything for you. He had seemed to say in his head. "Me too" was what slipped out of his mouth.

"You still haven't answered my question you know" she had expressed the moment she caught his eye.

"What was it again?" he had tried to avoid it.

"Do you hate Seunghyun and I being together all the time? Or did you just get bored of this friend of yours?" her smile was pushed aside as it was replaced with a serious frown.

He knew the first one hit home for him but he was in denial and he couldn't tell her that either, not when he was the one that gave her the advice to be with him. "It's neither of those reasons"

"Then why? You're always avoiding anything that has to do with us"

"I didn't want to be a third wheel. I wanted to hang with you, but just you Yoona. Or with him, but just with him"

"You could've told me. I would have canceled my plans to spend a day with you"

"How could I have done that? Not when you're so happy to go on those dates"

"What about those days we've spent hanging out? You don't think I was happy then? You seem to have thought that I forgot about you, that I like leaving you behind! For the longest time, I thought you were mad at me and I hated it!"

He couldn't tell what the cause behind his urge was, whether it was the beer or her confession, he wanted to tell how he really felt about her. He fiddled with his plate as he stared into her eyes intently. "I missed you too Yoona. I was frustrated because I missed you. I like-"

"Yoona"

She blinked as she tore her eyes off of his, turning to the voice that called her name.

"Yes Seunghyun?"

"You haven't touched your plate yet"

"Oh right" she chuckled. "I was just catching up with Ji here"

He knew that she was, however it was bothering him at how deep it seemed their conversation was getting. "I didn't meant to interrupt, continue" he gestured, throwing Jiuong an unknowingly warning look.

His forehead creased as he could feel the message Seunghyun was trying to convey. "No it's fine, it was nothing. You should eat" he smiled before he got up, leaving her side.

"Hey, I was talking too him" she had voiced her dismay with him when he had sat down.

"We have all night, you need to eat"

She crossed her arms over her chest, clearly upset with him. Suddenly, she felt something press against her lips as she looked down and then turned her head, brushing him off. He did not relent as he did it again, earning him a smile as she slowly opened to take a bite of the chicken he offered her.

"Good girl" he teased, grabbing on to his side when she had elbowed him.

Soon, as the sky got darker and everyone was done their meals, they had grabbed bags of marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate to start making s'mores. She had separated herself from Seunghyun as she placed herself with the girls, who was part of the plot of getting Seungri and Seohyun to sit together.

They couldn't help snicker when they saw Seohyun reject his help to make a s'more. The conversation shifted as Sooyoung and Daesung started to bicker about her hogging all the chocolate by layering two pieces instead of one.

Yoona's eyes bolted up hearing the topic, catching Jiyong's eye for a second, sticking out her tongue before she meddled with her s'more, sneaking out the extra piece of chocolate she had put. As soon as she finished, she glanced at him again and within a second, they were holding their stomachs laughing.

Everyone stared on with confusion at the two maniacs. They could hear other chuckles here and there join them and they knew their laughs were contagious to those around them.

"What's so funny?" Seungri had spoken up for everyone.

She finally seemed to regain composure as she sat up, wiping the mirth from her eyes. "It's just, your bickering was too funny unnie"

"Sure it was" Of course they didn't believe her but they let it slide.

"Just wait until you've dated for 3 years, see how much you guys will argue" Daesung had pitched in.

"They've been dating for 3 months now and they're already catching up to your fighting record" Tiffany intervened.

"No!" Seunghyun and Yoona had both exclaimed.

"Oh trust me, it's true" Jiyong voiced, patting his chest. "I'm a witness"

"Oppa!" she had retaliated with full.

"We need to stop letting the couples talk, they're making us feel lonely" Hyoyeon had pouted.

"We'll find you guys a nice match at Seunghyun's birthday"

She brightened up at the thought.

"Except you Seohyun"

"W-why?" she protested innocently.

"Because you have Seungri!!" Everyone had seemed to read each other's mind as they shouted in unison.

They both blushed as the group ahead of them started getting excited, standing up and cheering for them. This seemed to give Seungri courage as he playfully slung his arm around her shoulder, earning him loud hoots and hollers. He was beaming that Seohyun had not brushed him off. However, his friends had sabotaged his happiness when Hyoyeon got a call saying she needed to leave. As she was Seohyun's only ride, they left together, followed quickly by the other girls, and soon the boys.

Yoona stood up, giving everyone a hug before they had left, leaving a lingering one with Jiyong.

"We'll meet up soon?" she had whispered with hope. He couldn't help but bury his head deeper into her shoulder.

"I'll see"

She had pulled away with his muddy answer, giving him a small smile before she gave all of her friends a quick wave. Once she closed the gate, she turned to see Seunghyun sitting by the fire once again.

A smile played on her lips as she made her way to his side. "What are you doing?"

He didn't say a word, but instead, lifted the blanket that was covering him, making room for her. She gladly complied as she snuggled close to him, laying her head on his shoulder as she watched him silently toast a marshmallow.

"Seunghyun" she finally spoke.

"Hm?"

"What do you want for your birthday?"

"What I really want?"

She nodded against his neck.

"You" he had whispered huskily as he kissed his way to her lips.

Her eyes widened as she immediately jumped to the conclusion that he wanted her body. She immediately pulled away. "I-I'm not ready yet Seunghyun"

He started laughing, that deep chuckle that she loved as she looked at him with confusion. "You've misunderstood, I didn't mean it like that" 

He saw her let out a breath of relief before she had violently smacked his arm. 

"I meant it in a cheesy way!" he defended himself.

"No really, what do you want?"

He suddenly became serious as he sat up. "I just want you. I want you by my side, for my mother to approve of you, for you to want me too. Just you Yoona, no present in the world could make me any happier"

She reached up to cup his face. "That's a silly thought, you already have me" She stared deep into his eyes, furrowing her brows as she saw sadness in it. "Is something wrong?"

He took a deep breath as he ruffled his hair. "My mom doesn't want you by my side at the party tomorrow"

Although she felt let down by the fact, she couldn't help but giggle at him, catching him off guard by her reaction. "I don't want you troubled by something so simple. You told me that your mom is rough around the edges remember? Of course it's going to take awhile for her to warm up to me and that's fine. I don't have to physically be by your side for you to know that i'm there"

"It's just, it got me thinking. If she doesn't want you by my side tonight, think about all the other nights she won't want the same. I want to show you off to the world Yoona. I want everyone to see that you are mine"

"And they will, just give it some time" 

He leaned in to give her a forehead kiss. She turned after the kiss as her eyes widened at the sight in front of her. 

"Seunghyun !! Your marshmallow is on fire!" She yelled as he quickly scrambled from under the blanket as an reaction.

"Blow it out" he had pointed the stick at her with the flaming marshmallow.

"You're crazy, no!" 

"Just blow it out"

"You do it!" she quickly got up from her seat, shrieking as he started chasing her around with it. "Put it out!" she stopped running as she faced him seeing it was still very much on fire. 

He decided to give up as he finally blew it out, revealing a black glob at the end of the stick. He picked it off as he came closer to her with it. "Do you want it?" he joked. 

"Ew no!" 

And again, they found themselves circling the yard.

She stood in the house with a cup of tea as she watched them disapprovingly.

"They're adorable aren't they?" halmeoni had joined her company as she looked out into the yard lovingly.

"Yes, cute kids"

Halmeoni had sensed the devilish tone in her voice as she turned to her, heeding a warning. "He's happy Kang Hee Soo, I wouldn't do anything to mess that up" and with that, walked away not wanting to see any kind of plan the woman could brew up.

"Kids are what they are. Since they can't make their own decisions, seems like I'll have to make the decisions for them" she had whispered to herself.

Her sardonic smile was reflected in the glass in front of her before it was masked when she brought the cup of tea to to take a long sip of the bitter liquid.

Hi guys ! I'm back with an author's note again :D How have you guys been? It's summer now so i hope to update sooner now ! But anyways back to the chapter, i really wanted to highlight how Jiyong feels now that the two are together and so you can see a lot of his point of views early on the chapter. Of course i couldn't miss out our TopYoon moments so they're in there as well, and our wacky group of friends :D Notice the title guys, it's not called that for no reason !
