December 9: Decay (Woogyu, Yadong)

Everything had its time. Whether it was food or relationships, Woohyun knew that some things had to end. But to watch his own relationship decay just because of the strain the band was going through, was nuts. He watched as Sunggyu consoled everyone from Howon's announcement, his face stone cold as everyone else was crying. He wouldn't cry, Sunggyu would need his shoulder to cry on. 

Woohyun felt Howon side up next to him, his teeth biting his lip. Woohyun rose an eyebrow and Howon sighed. “I'm sorry Hyung. I'm sorry for wanting something different.”

Woohyun shrugged his shoulders. Of course he felt hurt but even he had the urge to break away from Infinite and start something knew but watching Sunggyu do his solo thing and having that sub-unit with Kibum was enough for him. “It was either you leave or eventually grow bitter and miserable. Nobody blames you but we'll miss you and you'll always have a spot in the group if you wanna come back.”

“I would have expected this talk from Sunggyu, not wisdom from you.” Woohyun smacked Howon's shoulder, rolling his eyes. “Don't worry you'll be getting wisdom from Sunggyu hyung later but for now-” Woohyun motioned to Dongwoo, who was sitting on their couch using his phone. “I would go and reassure him that your relationship isn't going down the toilet.”

Howon nodded, “I know but he's just worried about how the fans will react and how I'll do out on my own.”

“If he's that worried, just make sure you keep in contact with him. You know how bad you are at that unless it has to do with food.”

“Alright.” And with that, Howon went to go sit down next to Dongwoo, who gave him a tight smile. “Think he'll do fine?”

Woohyun turned to see Sunggyu, member free. He slipped his hands into his pockets. “Yeah, he'll do great. How is everyone else holding up?” The unspoken 'How are you?' in the air. Sunggyu moved closer to Woohyun, slowly resting his head on Woohyun's shoulder. “Myungsoo is comforting Sungyeol and Sungjong. I'll talk to Dongwoo later but other than that, everyone's doing well. You?”

“It hurts but I think we'll be fine, right?” Sunggyu smiled, kissing the edge of Woohyun's mouth. “Yeah, we'll be fine.”
