004. snowflake

30 day writing challenge

They couldn't be more different. Yoongi was a quiet introvert while Hoseok was a bright, bubbly extrovert.

Hoseok was like the first snowfall, pristine white snow landing softly on the ground still untouched by winter's icy grip. People remembered when it was because it was always an occasion when it happened. People looked forward to the first snowfall, it brought joy and a sense of beginning. They treated it with preciousness. Yoongi on the other hand was more like the last snowfall. No one ever remembers the last snowfall, always thinking that there will be another just around the corner. Never cherishing its presence.

Others couldn't help but notice when Hoseok walked into a room. Yoongi couldn't help but feel like a glorified, sentient wallflower. That was what would always happen - Hoseok would walk into a room and the spotlight would immediately be on him, while Yoongi would slink in silently after. That is, until Hoseok would grab Yoongi's hand a pull him into the spotlight with him. Yoongi always felt uncomfortable under the brightness of the spotlight, but the spotlight had nothing on the blinding smile Hoseok would shoot at him, with his arm wrapped around the shorter's waist, announcing to the group he was talking to, "This is my Yoongi."

When Hoseok smiled at him like that, Yoongi was just happy that his snowflakes even had the chance to mingle with Hoseok's snowflakes. Just happy that the Fates decided for them to be together.
