As noises coming from another room reached Baekhyun's ears, the boy scrunched his nose, while lazily opening his hazel eyes. "Kyungsoo must be preparing breakfast" he thought, deciding to bury his face back under the warm blanket.

"Sehun! You're not supposed to add sugar to the bacon!"

"Since when did you become a chef Jongin?"

"Sehun? Jongin?" Baekhyun repeated those two names inside his head, trying to recall where did he hear them. They sounded somehow familiar.  

" Wait." Baekhyun thought as his eyes popped open, finally focusing on his surroundings.

That wasn't his and Jongdae's room. Which meant that wasn’t his dormitory.

The events from last night started to resurface in Baekhyun’s memory, until they stopped at the moment he and Chanyeol were sitting together in front of the river. Complete black-out from then.

“Did I really… fall asleep?” Baekhyun suddenly realized, coursing himself for being so careless during his long-awaited date with Chanyeol. “He must have thought I was bored!”

As the boy facepalmed himself, he heard the sound of the bedroom’s door opening.

“Baek… are you awake?” it was too dark to see the person’s face, but Baekhyun was able to recognize that low-pitched voice the very moment it reached his ears.

“Chanyeol?”

After a few seconds the lights , lighting up the room and permitting Baekhyun to finally see Chanyeol’s face, who was sheepishly smiling at him.

“Good morning! Did you sleep well?” the curly giant gently asked as he approached the bed and sat next to Baekhyun.

“Oh, y – yes…” Baekhyun answered, his gaze dropping down on his hands, which were fidgeting with the edge of the blanket. The blonde boy stayed silent for a while, not knowing what to say in that situation.

“Hey, what’s wrong? Are you not feeling good?” Chanyeol suddenly asked, worried at Baekhyun’s quite behavior.

“I’m fine!” Baekhyun quickly corrected. “But Chanyeol…” he carefully continued, finally looking at the other. “Aren’t you angry?”

“Angry? Why would I?” Chanyeol asked, his eyes widening in surprise.

“I fell asleep in the middle of our date…” Baekhyun explained, still dumbfounded because of his own behavior. “I guess you even carried me here, right? I’m so sorry, I keep causing you trouble…”

Baekhyun couldn't bring himself to look at Chanyeol in the eyes. He knew the older was probably too kind to get angry, but still, he felt like he really messed everything up. Still looking at his lap, the blonde didn't realize Chanyeol had moved closer to him. What brought him back to reality were a pair of hands which cupped both sides of his face, making Bakehyun look up. By doing so, the younger found Chanyeol's round eyes right in front of his.

"Baek!"

"Y - yes?"

"Why would I get angry at someone who cutely fell asleep in my arms?" Chanyeol asked, smiling softly at Baekhyun, whose face was already turning red because of the closeness.

Despite not knowing the younger for long, Chanyeol already realized how much he enjoyed having such an effect on him.

"And should I remind you of how many rounds I challenged you at the arcade? I bet you were tired!" he pointed out. "And if you're worried about me carrying you home, trust me, you weigh less than a feather!" Chanyeol laughed.

"Do you really mean it? So you're not angry?" Baekhyun asked expectantly.

"There's no way I could get mad at you!" Chanyeol assured him as he jokingly squeezed Baekhyun's cheeks, finally making the other giggle in amusement.

Baekhyun felt like a rock was finally lifted from his chest, all the worry which had been building up finally disappearing like it had never been there.

" I'm so glad..." Baekhyun sighed in relief, now able to properly face the curly boy.

"Now that we cleared up this misunderstanding" Chanyeol started as he stood up from the bed "Should we grab something for breakfast? I know that Kyungsoo is like a chef, but our Minseok's cooking skills are no joke as well!"

"I'd love to!" Baekhyun exclaimed, quickly following Chanyeol out of the bedroom.

Before reaching the kitchen Chanyeol stalled for a moment, stopping on his tracks.

"Oh!" He exclaimed' turning around to face Baekhyun "Maybe I should warn you beforehand. My friends tend to be quite... exuberant, but don't worry, they're all good guys!" Chanyeol explained.

"Uhm, o - ok!" Baekhyun replied. The idea how meeting Chanyeol's best friends was thrilling, but at the same time he couldn't help but feel nervous.

The two entered the kitchen, Baekhyun standing behind Chanyeol while trying to take a peek of the surroundings. Within a few seconds the younger found himself face to face with two guys, both almost as tall as Chanyeol.

"Hello! You must be Baekhyun right? My name's Oh Sehun, nice to meet you!" the one with black hair started, vigorously shaking Baekhyun's hand.

"I'm Kim Jongin, the handsome and normal one between the two!" this time the one who talked was a guy with dark brown hair and tanned skin.

"And the modest one, as you can see!" Sehun added smirking.

"Let him breath, poor boy!" a blonde guy slightly shorter than the others said walking towards them. 'I'm Kim Minseok! I'm glad to finally meet you!" he smiled warmly.

"Chanyeol told me one of them is a model, I wasn't expecting all of them to be this cool!" Baekhyun thought as he looked at the three handsome guys standing in front of him.

"I - I'm Byun Baekhyun, nice to meet you!" Baekhyun said, giving them a bow.

"No need to be this formal! We're not going to eat you!" Jongin smiled.

“Why don’t you take a seat, breakfast is ready!” Minseok suggested.

After a while everyone was sitting and eating at the table. Fortunately, Chanyeol understood Baekhyun’s pleading gaze, which meant “sit next to me”, and took the chair near the younger. Once everyone sat down, the blonde boy’s eyes sparkled as he took a glance of the delicious food tidily displayed on the table.

The breakfast started quietly, with Baekhyun complimenting Minseok’s cooking, and with Jongin and Sehun who pointed out how their “help” was fundamental for the food’s preparation. Help which consisted in turning the kitchen into a mess in order to cook some scrambled eggs.

While everyone was laughing at Sehun, who defined himself as the Korean Gordon Ramsay, Chanyeol couldn’t help but be amazed at how well their friends were behaving. Unfortunately for him, it was too early to breathe a sigh of relief.

“So Baekhyun…” Sehun suddenly started, getting both Baekhyun and Chanyeol’s attention and making the latter gulp. “I was wondering…” he continued, faking a mysterious tone, while a smirk could already be seen on his and Jongin’s lips.

“Y – yes?” Baekhyun asked, not sure about what kind of question he was going to receive.

“Is our Chanyeol a good kisser?” he nonchalantly asked, immediately creating a fuss around the table.

Fuss which consisted in Jongin clapping his hands in amusement like a seal, Minseok yelling an “Oh-Se-Hun” with his mother-like tone, and Chanyeol patting Baekhyun’s back, since the blonde choked on his orange juice.

“What are you even asking?!” Chanyeol asked dumbfounded.

“I’ve been craving to ask him since that night at the club!” Sehun replied laughing.

“And do you think this was the right moment to ask something like that?” Minseok asked, noticing Baekhyun’s reaction and thinking that yes, Chanyeol was definitely right when he said that the younger’s cheeks’ colour changes quite easily.
