Chapter Nine
Forbidden Love"I-I-I'm so sorry." You sat like a stone and didn't move until she held your chin and made you face her. Then, the unexpected thing happened.
She had captured your lips and released the butterflies in your stomache. Your heart was beating too fast and strong that it could break out of your ribcage. It was different from the first time, because she was moving her lips. You tried to keep up with her, afraid of spoiling the moment. The kiss was like you're on half melted marshmallows, and there was a thin line between that trembling fire and the rough flame. Tiffany was rubbing your neck with her thumb throughout the kiss. You didn't know what to do in this iron cage. It was ironic to call it an iron cage at the same time, becase her lips were softer than a rose's leafs. The more you wanted to continue, thorns came closer. The fire of your kiss was going out with the air. You two pulled back at the same time, laggardly.
"Wow." The longest word came out of your mouth between the panting. Eventhough you calmed down, there weren't any more words. You couldn't lie, it was a ravishing moment. Probably a memory you won't be able to forget. And you wouldn't want to. Tiffany broke the silence when she felt like you were ready.
"Let's take a bit of a walk." She unbuckled your seatbelt before hers. Everytime she got closer, you prayed that she wouldn't be able to hear your poor heart.
You followed her and you two started walking on the sand. The palpitating pulse of the sea was steady and peaceful.
While you continued to walk, you've finally found the courage to speak.
"I don't regret what I did. I won't either." You were amazed at what you had said. You felt like you couldn't prevent those daring words coming out from your mouth. However, you were curious about what she was thinking at the same level of your boldness. You tried to shake off the devastating feeling, which would be something bad always happens when everything goes right.
"Actually-" Karma. You felt that coming. You heard that annoying sound of the electronic device. It brought you back to reality. The caller was probably one of her patients, her husband or... her son. In every possibility, it was clear that there was no room for you in her life.
