Minhyuk reread the same sentence for the 100th time now. He groaned in frustration as he noticed that he could not focus on the document on his computer screen after what happened yesterday. He had decided to distract himself by doing work so there he sat in his work area in an empty office on a Sunday.

"I had a feeling you'd be here." A soothing voice called out, snapping Minhyuk out of his trance. He looked up to see Moonbyul calmly walking to him.

"Byul!" He said in a surprised tone as he tried his best to be bright and happy. He stood up before finding the need to explain why he was there. "I was just going through some-"

"He did?" His smile dropped as his shoulders followed suit. He sat back down slowly and chuckled insincerely, "You must think I'm pathetic right now."

"Who ever said that I haven't been thinking that all this while?" Moonbyul smirked. She smiled when she heard a genuine almost-laugh escape him.

"You okay?" She asked him softly and carefully once he seemed to relax at her presence.

"I'm fine. Better today." He said as he looked her in the eyes for the first time since she arrived. He stared into her eyes for a while before turning away and taking a deep breath. I mean, it wasn't like they were secretly a bad person, unkind to animal or...”
