Three
A little crushOn hindsight, it had been a bad decision on Amber’s part. After all, she was the older one, and she should have known better.
But when Sehun leaned in, so close to her that she had to hold her breath, and stared at her, with eyes wide open - Amber Liu realised she was a goner.
As if she hadn’t gone round the bend long ago.
Mr Kim Kibum was to be blamed. His impromptu home parties were infamous and she kicked herself each time she was too lazy to leave her house to hightail it to his place - and the diva never let her forget, every single time. Even her own mother wasn’t as naggy as SHINee’s Key.
When she entered the living room to see a bunch of celebrities gathered, and none other than Oh Sehun in the middle, beaming straight at her, it was definitely an odd situation. The last time Sehun had come to one of Kibum’s shindigs was with Jongin for Taemin’s birthday and the pair were holed up in some corner, whispering sweet nothings to each other.
“What is Sehun doing here?” was the first thing Amber said to the host as he came whooshing to welcome her. The youngest EXO member wasn’t the most sociable, and had not been in the mood either, what with Jongin and everything else.
“He said he would come when he heard you were.” Kibum shrugged, before giving her a hug.
It was a curious statement for Sehun to make but before she could question Kibum, the social butterfly had flitted away. Serious topics were out of bounds at parties anyway so the young American allowed herself to be enveloped into the buzz of the action.
Amber swore she wasn’t keeping count - except when she spotted the EXO maknae downing another shot of god-knows-what. That’s when she hastily made a beeline for Sehun, grabbing his arm.
“Noona, drink with me!” The boy smiled, his eyes in slits.
“OK Sehunnie, let’s drink elsewhere.” Ignoring the protests from the others, she manhandled Sehun towards the kitchen. Leaving him leaning against the counter, Amber quickly poured a glass of water in Kibum’s familiar kitchen.
“Drink this,” commanded Amber, ing the water in his face.
When he obliged, Sehun frowned. “Aww Noona, this is not alcohol.”
“Stop whining, this will be what you will drink from now on.” She hated sounding all Mum-like with him - at the back of her mind, she was fretting over how to get Junmyeon over to collect the boy.
“Amber, you are so caring.” Sehun smiled indulgently at her, under the influence of whatever was poured down his throa
