“Unnie, are you mad at me?” Soo Jung’s question came out-of-the-blue.

Normally, f(x)’s maknae called the rapper by her name and not Korean honorifics, by default that they were both Americans. Only for serious matters did she fall back on the more respectful form of reference.

As f(x) was currently “on hiatus”, Amber had been spending more time with Sunyoung since the other two members were off busy with acting. In fact, the she had not met Soo Jung face to face in months. She was curious to how Soo Jung could sense that something was up even when they had not been in physical contact. 

Taking a sip of the beverage on the table, Amber paused before answering, “What makes you think so?”

Soo Jung flipped her hair back and insisted, “I know you are upset, Amber. I’m not an idiot.”

In time, Amber’s petty anger at Soo Jung had dissipated. She did get annoyed with Jong In on occasion but that was something that would go away in time too. Amber Liu wasn’t the type to hold grudges - except when the situation involved someone very dear to her heart. Sehun appeared to have bounced back in public - and in private, based on Junmyeon’s reports and her own observations. 

The EXO boys barely had time to rest, let alone for anyone to any wounds. Perhaps their insanely packed schedules helped in distracting Sehun from the fact that the boy he loved was gallivanting with someone else in public and how every move the new couple made was splashed in social media. Amber’s interactions with him didn’t change, she continued to send him the funny Meme on Instagram and made a point to pop into their practices whenever she was in the same building. She did fawn over the boy with special attention when she saw him in person but then again, so did everyone. The other EXO members were careful to treat the maknae like the broken-hearted baby he was, according to Junmyeon. Apparently, Jong In was now the common enemy back in the dorm. The once joined-at-the-hips duo were not on speaking terms and it seemed that Jong In had given up trying to make peace with Sehun - a mission impossible thanks to a stony opponent.

It was Sehun who was acting differently. Just that slightly bit - he texted her almost daily, especially during the wee hours of the night. Sometimes, the boy called.
