It is hot, so hot. It must be the warmest day ever, Mir concludes as he sits against the wall under the window, hoping for a cooling draft.

His legs are sweating under the pillow his computer is sitting on top of and his hands feel clammy no matter how much he wipes them dry. He barely even has any clothes on but sweat still drops down his temples and Mir is just about to go crazy with the heat.

His arm reaches for the cup filled with ice cold water he knows he has right next to him, eyes still nailed to the screen of his computer, and he brings the glass to his lips. Nothing comes out. Puzzled, Mir looks down to his glass and sees that it's empty.

Huh. Is it too hot for even the water to stay in place? Mir groans but moves the computer aside after pausing his movie. He needs something to drink, so he gets up and stretches his numb limbs as he walks to the door. He barely remembers to yank his shirt down before daring to open it.

The moment he steps out of his room, though, he realizes just how quiet it is. A bit unnerved, Mir goes to look around, searching high and low for his nice hyungs, but after checking behind the sofa and under the kitchen table, he has to admit defeat. He can't find them anywhere. Even the TV is turned off!

However, there is still one place Mir leaves unchecked. It's the only room with a closed door; Sanghyun's room.

Mir freezes as a terrifying thought crosses his mind. He... He isn't... He isn't alone with that hyung, is he?

See, Park Sanghyun is an alien, Mir is pretty sure of that. Not only is his hyung weird and silent, but he also has an laugh to match an alien's and a dolphin scream that only tells him he's not from around here. Maybe that is the way they communicate back where he came from and Sanghyun just occasionally slips into his native tongue.

Mir can relate to that, sometimes reverting back to his own accent every now and then himself, by accident of course. Mostly when he's too excited to notice.

But that has nothing to do with Mir's belief. It just is that way. And if Mir is even more honest with himself, he will have to admit he's actually quite scared of his hyung.

Like, what if Sanghyun one day has the need to study human anatomy and he wants to cut open Mir's stomach just because he gets too curious of where all the food goes? Mir isn't the only possible target, of course, but the main one because his tummy is so soft and it will be the easiest to open. Seungho's stomach is soft too but no one dares to mess with the leader, not even the alien.

So that leaves only Mir and Mir has decided he won't ever reveal his stomach anywhere, he barely even takes his shirt off for shower.

This all might sound absolutely ridiculous and stupid to most, but Mir is dead serious with this. I mean, how do you possibly expect him to know what aliens are interested in? There's no alien 101 crash courses offered in his local school.

So the conclusion is, Mir is terrified and he is man enough to admit it. 

He swallows the lump in his throat and turns on his heels, almost running back to the kitchen. It is safer to retreat when nothing is confirmed than to live when he has to fear for his life.

He tries to calm himself with comforting thoughts. His nice hyungs will come back soon for sure. All he needs to do is to go back to his own room, finish his movie and just forget all about it. Besides, it's possible that there's still one sleeping Joon-bot hiding behind that door.

Yeah, that is how it is. His hyungs will not leave him alone in danger, of course not, they care for him.

A shrilling alien laugh suddenly echoes from behind him and he hears the door open. Mir almost jumps out of his skin and the glass he just refilled drops from his hands and shatters to the floor.

The laughter stops and Mir panics. He tries to avoid seeing the face that follows the steps coming on his way, so he crouches down and hastily starts cleaning up the mess he created. But he is careless in his haste and he cuts his finger with a piece of glass instead.

The sight of blood makes him strangely nervous and when he looks up, he sees Sanghyun staring at him with an expression he can't read.

Then he remembers the blood and the fact that Sanghyun is an alien that could very well be interested in his blood, so he quickly on his finger to hide the crimson red and stop it from bleeding more. 

In the end he can hear Sanghyun sigh as he squats down in front of him. Mir tenses.

"Here, let me see," Sanghyun calls and struggles to pull the finger out of Mir's mouth. Once he finally frees the finger, he inspects the wound and shakes his head with a yet another sigh. "No can do, we need a bandaid."

He drags Mir with him and the younger notices in amazement that even if his hyung is still really scary to him, right now, with him carefully guiding him past the sharp shards, he doesn't feel nervous anymore.

Sanghyun makes him sit on the toilet seat while he goes to rummage through the cabinets, trying to find the emergency kit. Neither of them really says anything even when he comes back and kneels in front of Mir. 

Sanghyun is careful when he cleans the cut and when Mir winces at the sting, he tries to quickly to blow it dry.

"At times like these I remember you're still younger than me. You look too old for your age."

Mir scoffs and rolls his eyes, "Well, it's hard to beat a never aging alien when it comes to looks, you know."

There it is again. The loud alien laugh that gives him the creeps. But once again Mir is left surprised once he hears his own laughter joining his hyung's.

It takes them a while to finally calm down but as Mir wipes the tears from the corner of his eyes, their eyes meet.

"So we cool?" Sanghyun asks and a wide smile stretches to Mir's lips.

"We good."

Sanghyun gets up, slaps his thigh twice and offers a small smile before turning around to leave with the words: "Now go and finish your The Little Mermaid - movie."

"Yeah..." It takes Mir a minute too long to realize something is off, "Wait....How did you know I was watching that?"

But Sanghyun is nowhere to be seen anymore. Mir hugs his body as he shivers in fear and curses himself for letting down his guard like that.

"Damn aliens."

I was supposed to update like on Tuesday but then I got into a bad mood. And since I feel a bit better today, I finally thought I should put it up. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed it! ^.^
