Its teeth is always bare, present everywhere. It is big, enormous, and she fears it. She says it’s a dinosaur. But it’s a lot more than that.

As a child, she would run to her parents’ bedroom and slip under the soft blanket, snuggled between them and their warm hugs. The dinosaur still goes with her.

At ten, she deemed herself too old to come running to her parents. So she became bolder in facing her monster. She treated it like a pet, but the very food that satisfies her monster is the same thing that consumes her being.

It visits her after rehearsals as she locks herself in the bathroom washing away the stains of her recent throw up.
