The next day,Wendy woke up in the comfort of the soft mattress of her bed where she is currently lying at and the blinding light coming from the open window of her room. She groan and lift a hand to block the rays of light that is passing through and hitting her eyes. She peak through the gap of her fingers as she tried to roam an eye at her surroundings.

The room looks unfamiliar. There were piles of books settled on the small bookshelves on the corner. A purple closet. A study table next to it and there's one bathroom on the left side of the main door.

Wendy blink her eyes for a moment,feeling bewilder.

She jolted up when she soon realize that she was not in her room. Looking left and right in panic,she immediately jump off of the bed unfortunately her left foot accidentally tangled between the blanket causing her to fall directly on her face unto the floor. A loud groan escape from the blonde's mouth. Her palm presses together on her face as she started rolling from left to right while silently crying in pain. 

"What are you doing?"A deep voice interrupt Wendy as she immediately lifted her head to glance at the newcomer but quickly fall it back again when she suddenly felt the tingling pain on her face. 

! This happened because your such an idiot,Seungwan! Wendy cursed internally. 

"Wendy?"the voice called out and Wendy notice the confuse tone from it. 

"I'm fine. I'm just doing some morning exercise"she mumbled

"Oh~I haven't seen that kind of exercise before. Is that new?"the man chirp and Wendy mentally face-palmed herself. She didn't expected him to believe in her lies as easy as that. 

"Yeah"

"I'll let my boys try that one next time. I'm sure that's quite exiting!"he added gleefully as if he just discover something extraordinary and Wendy swear she almost rolled back her eyes at the man's statement. Why is he so dense? 

"Oh by the way. The young miss is waiting for you at the dinning area so you better fix yourself now and go downstairs"

"Thank's Suho oppa"Wendy thanks,lifting her head up to give the man a glance before forcing out a smile. Suho give her a weird look but immediately shrug it off before uttering a silent "Okay"and a small nod. 

A couple of minute,the man finally exited the room and Wendy let out a sigh of relief before she helplessly falls back on the floor again. Turning on her back,Wendy stared at the white ceiling off the room with her arms and legs spread wide on her side. 

Wendy's thoughts filled up once again of her last conversation with Mr. Bae aka Boss,her future father-in-law and Joohyun's father. 

Wendy was all lost in staring at her surrounding when Mr. Bae suddenly called for her attention.

"Were here"he announced and Wendy immediately snap at the huge door infront of them. She arches her eyebrow in confusion which didn't take unnotice by the man. 

"It's one of the room here in the mansion that I somewhat considered as one of my most special place"he informed with a smile. 

"Special place? Why special place?"

Mr. Bae smile again as he put a hand at Wendy's shoulder,giving it a slight pat"You'll find it out later"he said before pushing back the huge door to open. 

Wendy's mouth gape at the sight that awaited for her inside. Tons of books settled on the tall bookshelves on the very corner surrounding the room. Lots of antique collections in the middle and different stuffs. It looks like a small antique gallery that Wendy usually seen in some adverstisements on t.v. She remained stiff on her spot,eyes bulges out in awe as she slowly scan the room around. 

"Did you like it?"

"Y-yes sir. It's almost like a dream. I never thought I could ever experience this one of a kind view!"Wendy answered mindlessly. 

"I'm glad you appreciate it that much"The man chuckled "You like books?"he added as he walked towards that one bookshelf. 

"Ahm,not really sir. Usually if I have a free time,I read some of those"she answered 

Mr. Bae hum and pulled out one of the books from the shelves. Scanning through it before facing back at Wendy. "Joohyun loves books"he said and Wendy give him a puzzle look "Pardon,sir?"

"I said,Joohyun love reading books. She even have a lot of those inside her room" says Mr. Bae as he closes the books and gently placing it back on the shelf. "You know Seungwan,I really believe in the saying that opposites do attract"he paused,walking back towards the blonde. His step come to a halt as soon as he arrived infront of her again "My wife,Joohyun's mother,she was also a book lover and I'm not. But unexpectedly despite of those differences,we click. We dated for almost a year before I finally get her sweet yes and soon we got engaged. Joohyun was born before our wedding happened. She's our first child"Mr. Bae paused again. His eyes snap towards the big glass window of the room" Her mom died while gving birth of our second child. Joohyun was only six years old back then. She was just an innocent little girl but she's also the smart one. I didn't know that she's also having a hard time accepting the truth that time,it was already too late when I find it out"Mr. Bae wiped the lone tears on his eyes and Wendy felt pity for him. 

The feelings of sadness and sorrow. It was all over Mr. Bae's voice. And Wendy knows he meant all of those words that he told her. If only she could do something to comfort him she will surely do that but Wendy knows that she can't do anything right now but to patiently listen to him. 

"Joohyun,became a strong woman as she is. She haven't showed any weaknesses to anyone even I myself. She became conscious of her words. Not the very outgoing and jolly person as she was before. She became shy around other people. Those changes...I should be thankful about it but no. That's only worried me" Mr. Bae snap his head back to stared at Wendy. And Wendy notice the dry tears on the corner of his eyes and it became a little bit red"But not before she met you"

Wendy furrowed at the man's words. Confusion running through her mind but Mr. Bae snap her out of it. 

"Joohyun is like a precious gem to me. I'll protect her whatever happened. She has a very strong physical aura but she also has a very sensitive heart. She needs more love and you Seungwan,your that special someone who can give it to her. No other one"He paused again"I'm telling you this because you need to know about it. Not because I want you to pitied me or even my daughter. Because I'm trusting you. Please. Promise me that you will take care and protect my daughter whatever happened. Make her happy. I'm counting on you,Seungwan" 

Those words coming from Joohyun's own father left Wendy petrified. She doesn't know what will be the right reply for it. It feels like a big responsibilties that she needs to take care of until her last day on earth. 

Gosh! It didn't even included on her plan to enter in a lifetime commitment but now looks like things will be reverse in just a swift like a flick of a finger that will left Wendy like a horrible mess. 

"I..."Wendy gulp while eyes looking nervously at the older. Her hands were already trembling and gripping at the hem of her shirt.  She doesn't even know why she's nervous right now. It feels like her heart were ready to jump out of her body because she couldn't control it anymore. It beating faster in every second that passes. And it already worsen minute by minute. 

Closing her eyes for a moment and with a final heave of sigh to calmed down her erratic heartbeat, Wendy finally come up with her biggest decision in life that maybe she will surely regret until her last breath on earth. 

"Yes,sir. I promise. I will...."

Wendy shakes her head furiously to erase the thoughts from her mind. She jolted up from her lying position,hands running through her hair before fixing her eyes on the open door of the balcony where trees outside could be seen. Wendy heave an exasperated sigh before finally getting up on her feet.

You don't have any choice Seungwan but to let this things happen. If destiny wants it then you should go for it. Wendy thought before heaving a deeper sigh "Yeah,you should just go for it,Seungwan"she uttered to herself then finally,exited the room.

Wendy reaches the dinning area with too much difficult. Not only that the mansion is big but also there are lots of room everywhere. That almost looks similar. She almost lost if not for the voices that she heard echoed around the house that looks like it's coming from the dinning area. 

With a clumsy feet,Wendy immediately approach the area where she heard the voices. 

A long table with lots of foods settled atop of it,men wearing their usual black suit and tie sitting on the seat around the table who were now looking at her, greeted Wendy. 

Wendy cleared to snap herself from doozing off before doing a 90 degree bow to greet everyone. "Good morning"

There's a paused before Wendy suddenly heard a loud laughter echoed around the area. With much curiousity,Wendy slowly lifted her head to take a peak at everyone's direction. Her face flush in too much embarassment when she finds out that they were indeed laughing at her. Or more like at her purple bunny pajamas that Joohyun lend to her last night since she didn't have a clothes to change to after taking the shower. What's their problem?
