CHAPTER ONE

Do you believe in Angels? How about Goddesses? Those who are immortals that lives for decades, living in eternity, and those who truly believes in the word “Forever”

Old generations always tells us, every person has a Guardian Angel. Always guarding us, always protecting us from pain and evilness, they’ll take care of us for a lifetime, they can see us but we can’t.

But unknown to some, there’s a legend about Angels and the Chosen ones.

 Angels goes down from Heaven (or what they call “The Promised Land”) and descends here on Earth, (“Terra” in Seraph’s Language. Those who were living in the After-world (The Promised Land) are called Seraphs. Just like those who were living here on Earth called Mortals.) To be with their Chosen One (Moirai in Seraph’s language), Angel’s obligation is to make their Moirai into a better person, to guide them out of the darkness and evilness, to stop them from doing things that will lead them to Hell (“The infernal pit” in Seraph’s Language) in the end.

The Angel and the Moirai, a destined pair for a lifetime. Each Moirai have their own Angel, but another pair with an Angel is an evil Devil, or the Hellions in Seraph’s Language. They are the ones that are luring the Moirai into darkness, wrapping them whole with evilness. The good creator known as Ether creates Angels while the evil creator known as Hades creates Hellions. A balance of goodness and evilness.

It was a lifetime battle between the Seraphs and the Hellions, a lifetime battle to save one’s soul. It’s either they’ll end up in The Promised Land or in The Infernal pit, Moirai doesn’t hold their own future, it’s between the two force and how they live their short life in Terra.

In every place, there’s always the ruler. Same as Seraph’s Promised Land, they have the King of Heaven “Ether” and the Queen of Heaven “Ashera”. But every King and Queen have their limit of ruling, it usually takes Coon’s age  until they both pass the throne to the deserving ones. The Royalties of Heaven have their obligations, their responsible for taking care of Empyrean; the Palace in Heaven. They basically rule the whole Promised Land, all of the Seraphs, and everything in the after-world. They’re responsible for the peacefulness, and the successful travel of each and every Moirai until they arrive in the after-world.

The next Queen is the current Queen’s daughter, she undergoes such trainings and afterwards, she’ll face the last Mission, which will come from the Triads.

The Triads consist of Han (The ruler of Earth) ,Yang (The Ruler of Wind), and Lee (The ruler of Water). They are the Rulers of the Elements and the Peacekeeper of Empyrean.

The next King of Heaven will be chosen by the Triads, to whom and from where he is, only the three rulers know. Seraphs will only see the King, on the day of the appointing of the next Royalties.     

She was biting her lower lip to stop the sobs from coming out, her knees are trembling, same as her hands from too much nervousness and pressure she’s feeling right now.

“Princess, I told you to keep your composure calm and do not show emotions especially fear and nervousness. A future Queen needs to be perfect, she needs to have the confidence, especially in ruling the whole Empyrean. You need to show them that nothing can scare you, that everything is under your control.”

“But Bada-“ her eyes were misty, she was holding on to her Bada’s hand tightly as if her life depends on her own hands.

“Princess this is your last mission, you’ve been through a lot now, and this one’s just an easy pie for you. Right my dear Sky?” The woman gaze at her lovingly, caressing her hair that calms her mind undoubtedly

Bada, her second mother, her trainer on being the perfect Queen of Heaven became her best companion. Unlike her Queen Mother, Bada’s the one who takes care of her, who’s been with her in every step of her life. Her Queen Mother is always busy, always away from her because of her duties, just like her Father, who’s most busier that they only meet during the gathering of royalties every once in a blue moon.

“Princess, you are now being called by the Triads at Arcadia (Where the Triads are staying)” Bada said, she stared at her for a long time, studying her face. She saw her eyes flashed pity but it only lasted for seconds before it switched back to her emotionless eyes.

“Bada-“

“Go Princess Sky, don’t make the Triads wait or else, they’ll give you the hardest mission” She smiled comfortingly at her, tapping her cheeks just like what she does since she was a child.

“Thank you Bada, I’ll go now.” Sky smiled back and hugged her for a while. Counting to three, she calm her mind and walked towards her lair’s door, sparing her Bada one last glance before flying out to Arcadia, where she’ll learn her last Mission before she became the Queen of Heaven.

She was walking silently through the hallway, avoiding even the slightest sound. The quietness of the place is making her restless. Her heart is thumping wildly, different questions floating in her mind, slowing her phase as she neared the big marble door.

I’m Sky, the next Queen of Heaven. I can do it. This’ll be my last mission. I aced all the difficult missions, so this won’t be a problem anymore. She chanted optimistically in her mind.

 Slowly, the marble door opened, showing the Triads who were obviously waiting for her

“Ah, Princess Sky, we’ve been waiting for you. Please do come in” The three stood up to welcome her in, paying respect to one of the Royalties by kneeling in front of her, right hand in front of the chest.

“Greetings to the Triads” she shyly said as she signalled them to stand up now. Until now, she’s unaccustomed on the way Seraphs greet Royalties like her. As much as possible, she wants them to greet her in a friendly manner, but according to her Bada, she needs to accept it either way and be accustomed to it.

 “Are you ready for your last Mission Princess Sky?” Ruler Lee asked, looking at her kindly. Among the three of them, Ruler Lee is the closest to her.

“I am.” She smiled timidly, clasping her hands tightly to hide the trembling of it

“Well then, let’s not torment you any longer Princess” Han, the ruler of the Earth said.

She was clasping her hands tighter, clenching her teeth to ease the nervousness she’s feeling right now. Praying that it’ll be an easy one.

“Princess Sky”

“Yes?”

“Are you ready to hear your last mission?”

“Yes I do.”

“Well then, here it is.”

The wind was whistling softly in her ears, as the cold wind caressed her face as if comforting her. Her gaze darted to the herd of cherubs (Little Angels) who were learning to fly. They were giggling and spreading their little hands wide, enjoying the air as they fly high, trying their wings, learning how to fly without falling.

She darted her gaze to her sister Sera, the one who’s leading the herd of Cherubs, teaching them how to spread their wings to be able to do the perfect landing.

Ahh. The merriness of one’s childhood

 She sighed longingly as she stared at them. The moment she learns how to speak and walk, they were already preparing her to be a perfect Queen, to be an admirable role model of the whole Empyrean. She hadn’t got the chance to fly freely without going somewhere important, she hadn’t got to play, to glide together with the birds and butterflies just like any other cherubs.

“A feather for your thoughts?” She spun around and saw her childhood friend Eros, she beamed at his presence, thankful that she got somebody to talk to right now.

“Quick, what’s bothering you? I just sneaked out from the Triads. I just saw you went out a while ago and you look dispirited. Was the last mission that hard?”

He’s one of the few who treats her normally, not a royalty but just a normal Seraph. Skipping the traditional curtsy for a royalty, he playfully ruffled her hair, while she jokingly glared at her.

“Oooh. You’re still scary with that look.” He shuddered while looking at her, making her laugh. “Quick now Inanna, we don’t have much time to talk!”

Inanna, it’ll be my name when I became the Queen already. Sky is my Seraph name
