(Three years ago)

It’s raining again for the fourth time this week.

“Aish…” I cursed while trying to dry myself under the shelter. 

“Great! I am all wet! Now I will have to stay under this shelter till the damn rain stops.” Too busy complaining that I didn’t realize there’s someone else next to me, staring at me. I look towards that person and what stood in front of me was a beautiful girl. Before I could ask what her problem was, she held out a packet of tissue papers.

“Here, wipe yourself dry.” She smiled. I was loss of words. I didn’t expect that and I just stood there, staring at her blankly like an idiot. Just then, I heard her giggled and I was brought back to reality. I blushed and look away.

“N-Nope, mind your own business.”

“Aw… That’s pretty mean. I was just trying to be nice.”

“Wha--“Thinking twice, I decided to ignore her. She stood close to me due to the small shelter. Breathing in her scent, I smelled something sweet like strawberries. I like that smell. We stood there silently, watching the rain turned into a steady downpour, falling diagonally from the sky. Beside her was a street lamp that provided the only source of light, casting half of her beautiful face. Suddenly, the rain stopped. That was the first time I didn’t like it since I enjoyed being with her. Wait, what am I thinking? “Well, goodbye!” with that, she left. I sighed and made my way home. Who is she...?
