“Yah, aren’t you being a little too much, Park?” Somi appeared from behind Jihoon, giving him a punch on his shoulder. “Of course Haerin knows you!”
My feet suddenly felt frozen to the ground. And so did the sheepish smile on my face. Oh, so apparently they were friends and I didn’t even know his name… I should start being more conscious of my surroundings, if not I would start looking suspiciously antisocial.
“Hah, I was just teasing.” But Jihoon’s eyes didn’t leave my face. His smirk deepened.
Drat. I mentally cursed. He knew.
Somi went over to my side and linked arms with me. “You have a weird sense of humor, Park.” She scoffed. “Haerin, don’t mind him, let’s go talk to the others.” She flipped her hair at him jokingly.
Jihoon cocked his head, still continue to look at me with the annoying, knowing smirk on his face. “I think Miss. Choi here wanted to go to the toilet.”
“Did you?” Somi turned to me, her big eyes staring at me.
I feebly laughed. “Y-yeah.” She unwinded her arm and I awkwardly excused myself, not looking back as I tried to keep my steps even and calm.
That Park Jihoon guy… is danger.
I genuinely feared for my act.
I was starting to get guilty ever since the vice captain election, but ever since the encounter with the Jihoon person, I’m getting more and more nervous and self-conscious with the way I’m behaving and portraying myself.
“I can’t help but notice this,” Doyeon blurted out the moment we entered the girls’ changing rooms, “But Park Jihoon keeps staring at Haerin.”
Somi snapped her fingers so loudly that I thought I might get deaf and turned to Doyeon excitedly. “Yessssss! Fricking holy yes!” She turned to me solemnly. “He is so into you, Hae.”
I felt myself cringing inside. More like he can see through my lies. “No way,” I shook my head, “He’s just our classmate.”
