Mr. Cu was gazing through the window of his office, drowning in his thoughts looking like an old, wise, noble man.

“Mr. Cu, you asked for me?” Krystal lowly spoke as she stand in front of the man's desk

The old cupid slowly turned to her, with hands adjoined behind him

“Please, take a seat" he politely offered which Krystal immediately obeyed

“I have something very important to discuss with you" he comfortably sat in his chair “Ever heard of the ‘Captain of the Cupids'?” 

Krystal was a little surprised by the question “Yes, of course Mr. Cu, I am well aware of that"

“Well then, do you want the position?”

Krystal was really surprised now, she creased her eyebrows in confusion as she answered in a calm manner “Isn’t Seulgi the one you gave the mission to?” 

“That is not my question Krystal, do you want the position?” Mr. Cu asked once again, but still in a calm manner

“Well yeah, of course bu--" she was cut when Mr. Cu spoke again

“Then I have a special mission for you" Mr. Cu smiled “I want you to sabotage Seulgi’s mission, it’s up to you how" his smile is not one of those mocking ones, it was rather sincere

“Pardon?” Krystal felt uneasy, confused, and offended all at the same time “Sabotage Seulgi’s mission?” 

“Yes"

“I’m sorry Mr. Cu but I can’t accept that, I mean” Krystal stopped for a moment “I would not betray Seulgi, not my best friend"

Mr. Cu smiled as he sips his cup of tea before meeting Krystal's eyes once again “Do you think she can do it?”

“I-I’m sure she doing her very bes-" Krystal stuttered

“Do you think she can do it?” Mr. Cu cut her once again

Krystal froze in her seat, hands clenched into fists, glaring at man in front of her as he continue to speak

“No one can, neither can you" It amazes Krystal how Mr. Cu can put up a gentle and calm expression despite his words

“What? You sent her away knowing that she would fail?!” Krystal’s voice become tad bit loud, abruptly standing in full displeasure 

“We both know that she’s not good enough to be a cupid Krystal"

“Huh..” Krystal scoffed as she bites her lips smiling sarcastically as he walks a little bit closer to Mr. Cu “How ironic of you Mr. Cu, you’re the one who’s in charge of love, but doesn’t have a heart himself"

“Sure there are so many cupids out there that is more deserving than Seulgi, but I don’t think that she deserves this betrayal either"

“Be careful with your words Krystal, you know who I am” Mr. Cu warned her but still with a calm manner

“I’m sorry Mr. Cu, I appreciate your offer, but I won’t betray my best friend for a promotion" Krystal bowed at the man in front of her, ready to leave

“Why did you think I offered this to you?” Krystal fidgets as she tries to think of an answer

Krystal was confused, she knew that Mr. Cu is a wise man, if he will be sending a cupid to sabotage Seulgi's mission, Krystal would be the last option.

“it’s because, you are, as you said, her best friend” Krystal was taken aback, trying to think of what Mr. Cu was trying to say.

Mr. Cu stand up and walk to the side of his office where a porcelain water-filled basin was. She signaled Krystal to come closer

“Let me show you something that will surely make you consider my offer"

Krystal made her way to Mr. Cu and took a closer look at what the basin was showing them. She brought her hands to as she was surprised with what she saw “OH MY GOD!”

“Oh no" Seulgi muttered to herself, frozen like a statue when she saw her name together with Irene’s 

Sooyoung glared at Taehyung and gave her a ‘what did you do?’ look. The already terrified Taehyung shook his head with a sorry expression as he tries to explain that he didn’t do anything 

“Y-yah, we don’t have to do that" Wendy awkwardly chuckled as she eyes her friends “We’re all having a great time together right? Let’s enjoy the rest of the afternoon together then" She added

“Yeahh! That’s right, let’s just ignore this stupid booth" Sooyoung lightly kicked the booth and laugh innocently like she didn’t give Taehyung a death glare earlier

“But isn’t that your booth?” Seulgi said, being naïve as always, slightly tilting her head

“HAHAHAHAHAHAH" Everyone was surprised when Sooyoung suddenly laughed loudly and nervously as she put her arms around Seulgi’s shoulder dragging her in the process “Let’s just go, shall we?”

“Wait!” Irene called the two tall girls making everyone look at her “I didn’t say I won’t do it"

“Do what?” Krystal and Wendy both asked at the same time, ears perking, anticipating Irene’s next words

“I want to hang out with Seulgi, since I can’t remember the last time we hang out so, I will date Seulgi today" Irene bluntly said grabbing Seulgi’s wrist the moment she’s in front of the girl 

Seulgi looked at Krystal, probably crying for help but the latter just smiled at her and nodded, signaling Seulgi to go for it, Seulgi then looked at Wendy 

“Uhh.. Seulgi, can I talk to you for a moment?” Wendy asked

“Oh sure” 

The two walked not that far away from the three, curiosity growing as the two walk away. Wendy looked over to see if there’s anyone that might hear what she’s going to say before whispering something to Seulgi

“I-I don’t know how to tell you this Seulgi, you might not even believe me" Wendy started 

“Hmm, I think Krystal is up to something,” Seulgi's brows met as she listened attentively to Wendy

“I mean, I saw her sneaking inside the Matchmaker booth, I’m just worried that she might have done something to pair you up with Irene"

“What? Why would she do that? She knows that Irene and Bogum is my mission" The confused bear looked up to the sky, as she tries to process everything 

“Yeah I know, but what if she’s not here to help you Seulgi?” Wendy worriedly looked into Seulgi’s eyes

“What do you mean?” 

“I’m sorry but I think she’s trying to sabotage your mission" Wendy weakly said, Seulgi looked over to see Krystal, eyes full of confusion

“Seungwan, I think you’re mistaken. She’s my best friend, I trust her, I don’t think she will do something like that, I mean to what cost right?” Seulgi chuckled confidently 

“Arghh, I don’t know, maybe to get whatever it is that you will get if you finish your mission? Sigh, I’m not even sure” Wendy frustratingly sighed 

“Or maybe she’s your cupid? Or Kai’s?” Seulgi said surprising the girl beside her

“WHAT? No wayy~” Wendy yelped “We’re not even talking to each other, so there’s no way" She waved her hand in disagreement 

“Well, cupids are unpredictable. They usually target the most unexpected” Seulgi said in a matter-of-fact tone

Seulgi surprisingly, has a point, Wendy thought to herself. “Well, okay, I’m sorry Seulgi, it’s not like I’m getting in between you and Krystal, I’m just worried about you. You are forbidden to fall in love, and this date with Ire-"

“I-I’M NOT IN LOVE WITH J-JOOHYUN!” Wendy was surprised when Seulgi cut her and defensively shook her head as she denies her feelings, looking guilty as hell

“Seulgi, do not deny it to me, you are as transparent as glass, a book that is easy to read. I know it’s hard for you, but you are much aware of the consequence that you will get if Mr. Cu finds out right? That you will be sent away, forever” Wendy’s eyes was full of worries

Wendy just slapped her with a hard truth, she reminded Seulgi that like a sin, a cupid is forbidden to fall in love. 

She brought her hand to Seulgi's shoulders as she speak “And I don’t want that to happen, I’m worried about you Seulgi"

“Yeah, I know. Don’t worry Seungwan,” Seulgi at least forced a smile to assure Seungwan then she looked over to see Irene, smiling at their direction, 

smiling at her

“I’ll keep that in mind"

“Wow! The plushies are so cute!” Irene said in awe, her eyes twinkled as she ran towards the booth

They were in front of a booth where you have to shoot the stacked bottles to knock it off. There are varieties of plushies that are neatly placed at the farther end of the booth that you will get as a prize if you win

“Look Seul! That one looks exactly like you!” Irene teased as she points to the direction of the bear plushie

“Oh, really?” Seulgi played along as she tries to copy the expression of the bear
