Dating Bang YongGuk was no easy feat. The man was insane- both in a good and bad sense. Starting from the lowest pits, he was a cold-blooded murderer, a bastard of a son with his bastard of friends that were terrifying the streets of Seoul. Murderer. Psychopath. Bastard. Those names were familiar to YongGuk like the back of his hand.

Yet there was still some good left in the man. At least that’s what she chose to believe whenever he spared her a glance. Spared her a fraction of his precious time. Sometimes giving her a little smile which she treasured so, so much. It left her wondering who was the real psychopath in that dangerous dance that the two of them led. Him, a bastard shaped to be who he was from childhood, or her who chose that path. A wonder indeed.

And yet here they were, lovers, friends, something else entirely. She wasn’t sure he loved her, not really. Not with the he acted with her, only calling her whenever he needed her. Like a friend with benefits, nearly. Yet she didn’t mind as he told her it was all so that his enemies wouldn’t smell the fact that he loved her. It would lead to cruel consequences and he wanted her to live.

And so, she did. With no grudge towards the man she simply left his side with no goodbyes out of the blue. And she didn’t hear from him, either. Not a call or a text. Not a glimpse of that handsome face, those shining black locks and eyes filled with vicious mischief, a promise of a trouble in them. In all honesty, it only made her smile. She thanked him in her head for not sending a word back at her. It was a good solution to end whatever was between them.

An even greater chance to start her life anew with no enemies on her tail trying to kill her off. Meeting men had become easier, as well. Because while with YongGuk, she learned how to use every thrown glance, ever sway of her hips to her own advantage. The art of seduction was a close friend of hers, though it rarely worked on the male whom she used it on- YongGuk had been like an unmovable rock, not showing his emotions and not speaking his thoughts out loud. Being with him felt as if reading a book which didn’t want to be read. So, she gave up reading him completely and simply let go.

And thus, she moved on from the infamous Bang YongGuk with another man. A better man, she kept reminding herself. A man whom she may grow to like. To love. A man to settle with. Or so she liked to dream whenever her heart decided to beat for YongGuk all over again. His black eyes and blood-stained face creeping behind her closed lids.

With such thoughts in mind she met him all over again, in some bar where her boyfriend decided to take her for yet another date. His eyes had been like two stones of shiny amethyst in the purple shade of the room, zeroing in on her and making her knees tremble with the usual promise of trouble in them. She was in for a dangerous night, she decided when YongGuk stood up from his seat and slowly approached their table, plopping himself into a chair beside her.

She didn’t lie to herself then, feeling her heart tremble and the long-forgotten butterflies in her stomach returning with a blast as his musky
