“It’s just you and me today princess.” Sehun said to his seven month old in his arms. Mina and he had just said good bye to Luhan at the door and were now heading to the living room. He was happy they  at least had time to all eat breakfast together. Sehun knew that it made Luhan feel better whenever he left the house to at least see Mina awake. As they walked  Mina had taken it upon herself to play with her dad's ear as Sehun turned off the Tv that they had been watching while getting breakfast ready.

 

“So Mina what shall we do today?” Sehun asked her. He had planned on taking her to the park and maybe going grocery shopping after since they were running low on a couple of things.  Luhan was usually the one to do the grocery shopping but today was one of the rare days he had to actually go to the office. It happened rarely but luckily Sehun was always able to get the day off so neither of them would have to worry on who would be taking care of Mina. They knew both their parents wouldn't mind watching her for a couple hours, but felt bad relying on them too much.

 

“Does Mina want to go to the park today?” Sehun cooed and chuckled when Mina looked up at him as if she understood.  He looked around to make sure the house wasn’t a complete mess before heading upstairs to get himself and Mina ready.

 

He put Mina in her crib before going to the closet and looking for something Mina could wear. Mina sat and watched curiously. She didn’t fuss much whenever she was with either one of her parents. She was only really fussy before naps or when she hungry. Sehun and Luhan had always felt lucky since in their group of friends they were the ones with the easiest child. Sehun went through all the possible dresses when he remembered he wasn’t sure what the weather was going to be like.

 

Sehun pulled out his phone and looked up weather. It seemed like it would be warm enough for a dress. 70 degrees was warm enough...maybe she could wear a nice cardigan to just incase. He turned to look at Mina and sighed. They were going to the park and Mina could almost walk now maybe some pants and a top was a better idea. But he loved seeing her in dresses. She looked so cute whenever Luhan dressed her and for some reason as much as Sehun tried she never looked quite the same whenever he did it. With a sigh he walked over to the dresser to see if maybe he could find something in there. After rummaging around for a few minutes he found a cute white long sleeve and pants. Feeling creative he added a jean jacket his best friend had bought for her a couple months back. He set the clothes aside and went and picked Mina out of her crib. The little girl instantly raised her arms up making Sehun laugh.

 

“Alright princess let’s see how this looks shall we?”

 

After getting her dressed Sehun couldn’t help but nuzzle her neck because she just looked so adorable. The little girl giggled madly and tried to scrunch her neck making Sehun laugh. “Awww does it tickle Mina? Is Mina ticklish?” He teased as he set her down on the changing table to look for the box where Luhan kept all her hair accessories. Not that Mina had much hair but they liked to clip it back away from her face or use headbands. Once he found it he dumped part of the contents on the ground and then grabbed Mina so she could pick the hair accessory.

“Go ahead Mina pick your favorite.” Sehun encouraged when the little girl looked at him confused.

 

Mina seemed to hesitate, but crawled forward and picked a bright blue flower headband and looked back at her dad.

 

“That my dear is an excellent choice.” Sehun replied and grabbed the headband out of her hand before placing it on her head. “Wow, I think this is the first time you look so well put together. You know what this means right Mina?” Sehun said enthusiastically as he pulled out his phone and started taking pictures of her.  A dozen pictures later and Sehun was now ready to get himself ready. Making quick work of putting away all the little hair accessories Sehun picked Mina up and headed for his own bedroom. He set her down in the middle of the bed and created a barricade of pillows around her before heading off into his closet to find some ripped jeans and plain white t-shirt . Because he could be a dork sometimes he added on a jean jacket and blue snapback so he and Mina could match. Luhan liked to for it but that never discouraged him.

 

“Alright I think we are officially ready to go.” Sehun said picking her up and heading downstairs.

 

They arrived at the park and Sehun was surprised to see the amount of people already there. It was still pretty early he hadn’t expected to see so many kids out at this time but then again almost all his neighbors had kids. He unbuckled Mina from her car seat and transferred her over to her stroller. He reached into the car to get her diaper bag when a clap to his back made him jump.

 

He turned to face who it could be and broke out into a smile at the more than familiar face.

 

“Suho! What are you doing here?” Sehun greeted.

 

Suho smiled back at him, “Got bored at home decided to come out for a walk and saw your car pull up.” He explained before bending down to Mina’s stroller, “Hellooo Mina!”

 

“No work today?” Sehun asked closing his car door and adjusting the diaper bag strap on his shoulder.

 

Suho looked up from Mina, “No. Schools are closed for Children’s day.” He explained.

 

“Ohh so that’s why there's so many kids out today. I forgot schools closed for that.”

 

“Looks like someone's getting old.” Suho teased.

 

“Says you! I’m younger than you by two years.” Sehun shot back while pushing Minas stroller heading for the playground.

 

“Whatever. Hey where’s Luhan I’m surprised he’d let you watch Mina all by yourself.”

 

“Hey! What's that supposed to mean? I can take care of Mina!” Sehun argued.

 

“Aww Sehun lighten up it’s a joke.”

 

“ Ha. ha. ha . You should have become a comedian.” Sehun replied sarcastically.

“It was my first career choice, but teaching is much more gratifying.” Suho replied with a huge smirk on his face.

 

Sehun rolled his eyes, “I bet.”

 

“You’ve always been so easy to tease. I can’t wait till Mina is old enough to join me.”

 

Sehun stopped walking and glared at his friend, “She wouldn’t. She loves me very much if anything you should watch out because she’s definitely gonna help me tease you.”

 

Suho shook his head in amusement, “Whatever floats your boat.”

 

They reached the park and Sehun got Mina out of the stroller. He let Suho hold her while he brought the empty stroller closer to one of the park benches. He was about to head back to Suho and Mina when he noticed a girl with long brown hair tied up in a high ponytail talking to Suho and holding Mina’s hand. Sehun almost laughed when he noticed the slight blush that dusted Suho cheeks. It seemed to Sehun that his friend was still as shy as ever when it came to pretty girls.

 

Sehun had known Suho since college. Suho had been the guy in charge of Sehun's dorm room section.  They had become friends pretty quickly and Suho had made it a point to make college life easier for Sehun; something the younger would always be grateful for. It had been Suho that told him about the neighborhood he and Luhan now lived in and because of that they were more or less neighbors. They all still hung out from time to time which was why Mina was so comfortable being in the other’s arms.  He kept watching silently by the park bench hoping to see something come out of the the interaction. And then to his utter surprise Suho pulled out his phone and handed it to the brunette. The girl took it and quickly typing something into it before handing it back and smiling up at Suho. With a quick wave the girl jogged away leaving behind a dumbstruck Suho.  

 

Sehun did his best not to laugh as he approached his friend. Mina who heard him approaching turned in the still dumbstruck Suho’s arm and instantly put her arms out towards her dad. Instead of grabbing her Sehun waved a hand in front of his friends face.

 

When that didn’t work he decided to call out the other's name, “Hey! Suho!”

 

Suho shook his head and looked back at Sehun eyes slightly dazed. Mina wiggled in his arms prompting him to look down at her. Realizing that the little girl probably wanted to go with her dad he handed her over wordlessly.

 

“Suho you look like you’re about to throw up man. What happened?”

 

“I uhh this girl came over and she asked me for my phone number?” Suho replied voice full of disbelief.

 

Sehun chuckled, “Yeah I saw. So when’s the wedding?” He teased.

 

Suho shot him a glare, “You ”

 

“Seriously? Dude you just got someone's phone number! And you’re sitting here dazed like a loser!”

 

“Hey! I am not a loser I just didn’t expect that to happen.”

 

“Whatever man come on let’s take Mina to the swings.” Sehun said deciding he could always tease Suho about his lack of skills later.

 

Suho followed him wordlessly until they reached the swings, “Hey Sehun do- do-you think I can borrow Mina sometime?”

 

Sehun looked over at his friend surprised, “What?” He asked.

 

“Yeah you know can I bring her to the park umm next Tuesday?” Suho asked leaning against one of the swing poles.

 

“I guess? Why are you being so weird about it?”

 

“I’m not being weird.” Suho quickly defended himself.

 

Sehun shot him a skeptical look. “You’re being weird man” and turned back to gently push Mina on the swing. He gave a glance over to Suho who looked deep in thought.  Suho’s request was definitely odd. Sure he would come over and play with Mina from time to time or even tag along with him and Luhan whenever they took her out on the weekends, but he never once before asked to take Mina out on his own.  

 

“You do know you have to ask Luhan to if you want to take Mina out.” Sehun called out to his friend instantly getting his attention.

 

“You can’t ask for me?”

 

“Suho you’re asking to take our 7 month old out you really think you can just ask me? Luhan would flip. Just ask plus it's more polite that way.”

 

“You’re right. Sorry.”

 

“I swear you’re being weird.”

 

“Would you cut that out I am not being weird!”

 

“Okay then why the sudden interest in taking Mina out. More specifically why does it have to be next Tuesday.”

 

Suho let out a deep sigh, “I’ll tell you...if you promise not to laugh at me.”

 

“If it’s funny I’m gonna laugh, but I’ll treat you to lunch how does that sound?”

 

“Not terrible. Alright so the girl thought Mina was mine-”

 

“You used my daughter to pick up some chick?” Sehun asked scandalized at the idea.

 

“NO! You didn’t let me finish!”

 

Sehun gave him a look but nodded for him to continue.

 

“I told her she wasn’t that she was my niece. I mean I know I’m not biologically, but you guys always say I’m uncle Suho so I figured it would be okay.”

 

“Suho…”

 

“Yeah okay anyway I said I was babysitting her and she thought it was cute and she asked if maybe I wanted to take her to one of her classes because she’s like a gymnast instructor. And yeah so can I borrow Mina?”

 

Sehun rolled his eyes and laughed, “You’re so lame but if Mina gets to go to a free class I guess it’s okay you still have to tell Lu though.”

Suho folded his arms across his chest, “Yeah you don’t think he’ll mind do you?”

 

Sehun shrugged, “I’m not sure he might be nervous since Mina hasn’t really been all alone with you or with anyone except her grandparents.”

 

“But Mina isn’t a big cry baby. She’s always so patient and happy.  How hard could it be?”

 

“Pfff that’s what you think just wait till we go get lunch you’ll see.”

 

They stayed at the park for another hour or so.  They went on the baby slide, played in the sand box and of course chased after Mina’s small steps. The little girl’s giggles could be heard all around the park and Sehun loved every moment of it. He had as much fun as Mina had and had almost laughed his off when someone thought Suho and him were together. Suho had blushed madly and could barely even speak. He looked forward to telling Luhan all about it later in the day.

 

Everything had been going smoothly until they got to the cafe and it was time to eat. Sehun had ordered food for him and Suho and was unpacking Mina’s food when he got a call from Luhan. In the cutest way possible Mina had brightened up when she saw Luhan's face on the screen but when the call was over the baby girl had turned to her other dad and began to sob. It took Sehun a good 10 minutes to get her to calm down and then another 15 to get her to eat. He would never understand why babies liked to fight against eating or sleeping.

 

“See I told you, it’s not easy.” He said to Suho as he buckled Mina up in the back of the car.”

 

“You don’t think she’ll do that when I take her out do you?”

 

“I’m not sure… it could happen randomly. “

 

Suho nodded at that and the conversation changed to how Suho could change plans with the girl at the park to something else just in case. Soon Sehun dropped Suho off at his house and went straight to the grocery store. He bought all the things they were low on like paper towels, milk, eggs, Mina’s snacks, and of course diapers. By the time Sehun got home and put all the groceries away he felt exhausted. He wondered how Luhan was so good at doing this everyday at one point.

 

It was five in the evening when Luhan pulled up to his home. He was a little tired but the idea of seeing Mina and Sehun after a long day  gave him energy.  As he walked up to his house he imagined how happy Mina would be to see him. He thought of how Sehun would surely kiss his face repeatedly and tell him how much he missed him. Luhan definitely expected to hear all about the day Sehun and Mina had shared but when he finally opened the door and stepped into the living room he was met with a totally different type of surprise.

 

Instead of his little family standing behind the door waiting anxiously for him he found them both knocked out on the couch.  Luhan let out a chuckle at the sight before him. Even if it wasn’t what he had been expecting it was still one of the cutest things he had ever witnessed. On the long couch was Sehun with Mina tucked onto his chest. Both of them wore similar clothes and Luhan couldn’t help but pull out his phone and take a couple of pictures. He was going to go upstairs to get dressed in more comfortable clothes but he saw his husband shift on the couch.

 

Luhan watched from his spot by the tv as Sehun blinked away sleep and locked eyes with him. Without stirring Mina who was still laying on top of him Sehun waved at Luhan and whispered

 

“Welcome home.”

 

Luhan smiled back at him but turned anyway to go up the stairs and change.  When he came back down Sehun had managed to put Mina in the play pen they kept downstairs.

 

He came up behind Sehun and wrapped his arms around the others waist to peer down at Mina.

 

“How long has she been out for?” He asked.

 

Sehun let out a silent yawn before turning in Luhan's arms and pressing a kiss to his forehead “I’d say about an hour.”

 

“Guess you guys had a busy day if she’s this tired.”

 

“It wasn’t too bad.” Sehun replied leading Luhan to the couch.

 

“Oh, so what did you guys do besides the park and going out for lunch.”

 

“Well we went grocery shopping then we came back home, made dinner which I can heat up now if you want, and watched some TV.”

 

“Did you eat without me?” Luhan asked mildly hurt. He couldn’t believe they would eat without him.

 

Sehun chuckled and quickly pecked Luhan before answering, “No. Mina had a bottle before sleeping but we haven’t actually eaten dinner yet. We wanted to wait for you obviously.”

 

Luhan smiled up at him for that, “Good. All day I’ve looking forward to coming home to you guys”

 

“We were looking forward to you coming home to. Mina actually burst into tears after you hung up at lunch.” Sehun informed him.

 

“What?! She did? Awww you should have called me back.”

 

“Lu you had to work and who knows you could have made it worse.”

 

“Nooo I would have made it better.”

 

“I think I know why Mina is so stubborn.” Sehun teased.

 

Luhan turned to Sehun eyes wide, “Are you saying I’m stubborn.”

 

“What no...why would you even think that?”

 

“Sehun…”

 

“Babe come on let’s go heat up dinner. I’m hungry.” Sehun said getting up from the couch and heading for the kitchen.

“Don’t try to play dumb.” Luhan said not moving from the couch because at that second Mina decided to stir. He waited to see if the baby girl would go back to sleep, but instead he saw her rub her eyes and slowly sit up. She looked around and when she saw Luhan she instantly put her arms up to be taken out. Luhan quickly walked over and picked her up. He decided to bring up Sehun calling him stubborn later. Right now he wanted to play with Mina and tell her how much he missed her all day.
