Was it egoistic to only think about his own pain? Yes, it was. But, Hoseok had never been one to only think about himself. He had always been the person to put other people’s feelings before his own, doe everything so they would feel good. Of course he had been doing the same when he had broken up with Namjoon. His intentions back then had only been good ones. He did it for the younger’s future and to not be in his way, but as time passed by he started thinking about the possibility that his decision hadn’t been the best one.
Whenever they met up he still was able to see the pain in the younger’s eyes. He could still feel the younger’s gaze on him whenever he wasn’t looking at the younger. Namjoon still cared for him like before when they still had been a couple, and Hoseok honestly couldn’t complain about it. He missed Namjoon, he missed everything about the younger. Beginning from the soothing words, over the little touches and to then to the heated kisses, he missed it all. He craved to get them back, he needed them, feel them. But, who was he to even wish for it all to come back to him?
But the pain was evident in Namjoon’s eyes, the longing as well, and Hoseok knew his own pain was obviously visible in his own eyes. Namjoon could see it each time they met up and sometimes it scared Hoseok how Namjoon would do everything to make him feel better, comfortable, protected.
