Sing Me To Sleep
Kang&Bae LifeClass started last week. the new sched is tiring af

“Are you serious?!”
“Okay, calm down—”
“How can I calm down?!”
“Just ing shut up okay! Amber got her! She’s breathing and alive!”
Krystal can’t believe she just lost her cool.
Joohyun had been shouting nonstop at her ear for hours now.
“I’m sorry.” Jooyung said with heavy breathes. “I just panicked.”
“I know. I’m sorry too. I had to shout at you so you’ll stop.”
Silence.
Krystal walked inside the room to see Seulgi with Amber and her parents. The others left to give her time to rest.
“You gave us a heart attack Seulgi. Don’t ever do that again.” Seulgi’s mother said.
“I told you to just stay there and don’t move. I came back minutes later and you’re drowning.” Amber exclaimed.
“I tried to swim and it was working but then I got cramps.”
Appa Kang sighed. “But next time make sure you gotta be with someone first.” He said.
Seulgi frowned. “I’m a legal adult, a CEO, and has a wife.”
The parents left Amber and Krystal with Seulgi.
“Joo wanna talk to you Seul.” Krystal said.
“Good. Maybe Bae can give her a scolding.” Amber said.
Seulgi rolled her eyes at her and shooed the couple away.
Her phone rang.
“YAH KANG SSEUL!”
Seulgi winced. “Seeing your pretty face is enough Hyun.”
“Don’t even try to sweet talk me.”
“Aw. I’m okay now Bae. No need to worry.”
There was an uncomfortable silence on the other side.
“I was scared.” Joohyun said in a small voice.
“I’m sorry. I’ll never do it again.”
Joohyun is close to crying.
“Don’t cry Joohyun-ah. I’m still here.” Seulgi moved her phone to show every angle of her face. “See?”
Joohyun let out a laugh. “You look stupid.”
“There’s my y Joohyun.”
“What the did you just say?”

“Are you both okay now?” Joy asked.
“Yeah. She’s back at insulting her perfect wife.”
Joy had to roll her eyes at that.
“No wonder she insults you.”
Joy dodged her boss’s incoming abusive hand.
“UNNIE!”
Seulgi groaned while Joy spitted her drink and started to laugh.
“Yes, Yooa?” Seulgi forced a smile.
It’s not that she doesn’t like her company’s secretary but Yooa sticks to her all day when she gets the chance.
“Do you want to join how game?”
“What game?”
“Newspaper dance.”
Several minutes later.
“Jump on my back!”
“Huh?”
“Quick!”
Yooa mindlessly hopped on Seulgi back while the latter balance herself on a folded small piece of newspaper lying on the ground.
“5, 4, 3, 2, 1…time is up!” Moonbyul shouted.
Seulgi and Yooa unexpectedly won.
It wasn’t really for Yooa but with Seulgi, it’s a wonder.
She’s always been a walking curse with games.
“We won! We won!” Yooa squealed as she hugged and jumped with Seulgi.
Moonbyul and the gang are shaking their heads for a very obvious reason.
“I bet you twenty bucks Joohyun’s gonna go hell mad at her when she finds out about this.” Moonyul said.
“There’s no need to bet. That’s definitely gonna happen.” Momo said.
“Let’s see then. I sent a picture to Wendy and I’m sure Joohyun saw it by now.” Amber revealed.
They all looked at her.
“What? It’s better sooner than later.” Amber reasoned out.
They all shrugged and prayed for their friend.

“Hyun-ahhhhhhhhhh.”

“Talk to me.”

“At least let me know you’re there.”
“Shut up.”
“There it is.”
“You still have the guts to call me after hanging out with that Yooa.”
“You still answered though.”
“Another wrong reply from your mouth and you ain’t getting anything.”
“It was just a game. We were all excited and we won. That’s just it.”
“I don’t even know why I’m talking to you right now. I should be ignoring you.”
- smiled.
“Because you love me.”
Joohyun faked a gag.
“You are too cheesy.”
Silence.
“I’m sleepy baby bear.”
“What song do you want?”
Joohyun closed her eyes.
“Hm, See You On Friday?”
“Arasso.”
“Please don’t hang up.”
Seulgi hummed in reply and started singing Joohyun’s song.
The morning after.
“Seulgi-ah~” a raspy voice from the other line woke Seulgi up.
Seulgi grunted.
“Thank you for not hanging up bear.”
“Always, baby. Now let me go back to sleep.”
Joohyun giggled.
