(I deleted my fics: HOLD ME NOW and SUPERNATURALS because I didn't like how it flowed and it's too dramatic for me. Anyways, I hope you guys liek this one because this fanfic is a request from my sister-in-law who just revealed to our whole family that she and my brother are expecting another baby by next year! Anyways, here it is:)
The Park dynasty have been reigning the nation for almost five hundred years and when the Emperor, Emperor Hyun Jun, died of cancer during the year 2003, his only daughter and his wife were forced to take up the crown because a lot of people from the Parliament will surely take advantage of the fact that there is no ruler.
The crown princess, Sandara, was only fifteen years old when she was crowned as the empress but since she was too young, her mother, the empress, took over as the regnant of the country until she finished college and turn 21. Over the years, she was groomed and trained by her own mother and advisers how to be a good empress when the time comes. And the time came for her to become the empress at the year 2009 when she turned twenty-one. A year passed after her coronation but she was still unwed.
“Marriage?” she immediately looked up and looked at her Prime Minister while she closed the folder.
“Yes, your majesty.” the prime minister bowed as the others nodded in agreement. She, then, glanced at the members of the council and she wasn’t surprised that they would eventually bring up marriage.
“But I am only twenty-two.” she argued as she glanced at her mother sitting at the second floor balcony throne chair. “Besides, it’s only been a year after my coronation. Don’t you think it’s a bit early?” she argued as her mother raised a brow.
“But your majesty, according to the royal decree of 1724 by King Yeong Jeong, an empress must marry before she turns twenty-three or else, the crown will be passed down to a royalty through a male lineage.” the prime minister explained as she sighed deeply and replied,
“I am the empress and I am aware of the decree that my ancestor passed. And as an empress, I shall pick my candidates personally and no one must know about this until I’ve made my decision of whom I shall choose to be my consort.” she stood up as the council stood up and bowed at her. “Did I make myself clear?”
“Yes, your majesty.” the council bowed once more as she turned around and left the conference room with her chin up and elegance. But inside, she was panicking.
How will Empress Sandara choose the consort fit to be her husband and the prince consort of the nation when she never even had a first love, a first kiss, or a first boyfriend? Find out tomorrow…. (January 1, 2012)
