Three years have passed and Jessica can’t still forget about Donghae. Even if you turn the world upside down...she got to admit that she still loves her friend...no, Donghae. After the heartbreaking incident happened, she went to Paris to study fashion designing.But it isn’t the real reason...she went abroad to forget everything about him.

Up until now, she’s still regretting her decision to leave and let Donghae go. Well, that’s her stupid decision after all. Past is past. There is no use crying over spilt milk.

After years of longing, she flew back to South Korea to go on a vacation and to reminisce the memories she made in her hometown.

“I missed this place” she mumbled under her cold breath

It’s December once again...she stepped on the snow-covered soil of the playground of her former school. This is the place where she first received a confession (well, not really) and rejected Donghae. This is also the place she made a choice to let him go.

“I missed this place too”

She heard a voice from behind...a very familiar voice that made her spine shiver. Her heart started to thump fast as her body faced the figure from her back

“D- Donghae?”

And this might be the place for reconciliation. They stood there as if the time stopped

“Jessica, long time no see”

She started to tear up a bit that made the man in front of her to smile warmly yet sad.

“You’re also here?” she asked

“Yep, I missed this place. How about you?”

As for Donghae, he really missed Jessica but he was so upset when she rejected him once again, for the eight time.

“I- I- I missed this place also. How....are you?”

He turned away, not minding her question

“Do you still remember the first time we met?”

“Ye- Yes”

Jessica is guilty, confused and tongue-tied. She wants to say that she loves him but this isn’t the appropriate time to say ‘I love you’.

“Hae, how is your marriage? Are you happy?”

Even if it hurts so much, she still gathered up the courage to ask him about that matter.

“How can I be happy if the woman I love is not with me?”

“I’m sorry. I’m really sorry”

She tried to fight back her tears but she couldn’t just do it...

“I’m disappointed. You made me upset. I waited for you for five years yet you still rejected me” he blurted out

He didn’t mean to hurt her but he wanted to say his true feelings about that incident...

“I’m really sorry”

“Did you settle down with a special someone?” he asked coolly

Donghae remained cold and expressionless but he is deeply hurt inside. Pretending that you love someone is hard but pretending that you didn’t love someone is harder.

“No. I’m still waiting for the right person but it seems that the right guy I’m talking about is already taken and not meant for me. “

“Truthfully, I’m not yet married”

He turned to look at her and smiled

“Wh- What? How did-?”

“Tiffany ran away on our wedding day. She also loves someone else, remember Siwon, the drummer?  After running away, her family disowned her and I feel sorry for her; yet she didn’t care. How brave of her to fight for her love unlike me”

“No, I’m the coward one. I didn’t fight for YOU”

His eyes widened due to shock and confusion.

“I wasted those three years because of my dumb and stupid choice. But the truth is...I love you Lee Donghae. I have always loved you but my heart isn’t ready to accept you that is why I keep on rejecting you. You know what, I have always been regretting my decision of letting you go; for taking away those three years without you. I really really really really really love you Donghae” she continued

She turned away from him and palmed her face to hide her tears...her regretful tears.

After hearing those three simple words, Donghae’s heart was fluttering like crazy and his eyes started to tear up. He wanted to punch himself for also letting her go...for being a coward just like Jessica. If either one of them fought for their love, they must’ve been together now; but leaving each other might be their hearts’ command.  

“Sica” he said, breaking the silence “I love you too and I still love you and I will always love you”

He went near her and held her shoulder...

“Look at me” he said

Jessica then turned to look at him with her tears overflowing as well. Using his thumb, he removed the tears away from her cheeks and kissed her forehead.

“Stupid Sica. You’re really stupid Soo-yeon”

“I know. My heart must’ve been stupid. I’m really sorry Donghae”

“Shhhhhh, It’s also my fault, ok?” he mumbled while placing his forehead against her

“Can I kiss you?”

“Yes” she then agreed

In a split second, he locked his lips on hers and the warmth of their kiss overflowed their bodies. First it was chaste, but as time goes by, it becomes more passionate...filling up the desires they longed for years.

“Stop” Jessica said after breaking the kiss

“I’m sorry, I got carried away again” he laughed “Sica...”

“Yes?”

“I want you to ask this but this question may be out of line”

“What is it?”

“Will you...marry me?”

Her face glistened up of joy and she was tongue-tied once again

“Please. Don’t. Reject. Me. Again” he begged, showing his cute puppy eyes on her

“Stop it! Ugh, you’re making me sick” she scoffed and she smiled

“What? Are you rejecting me again?” he pouted

“No...I mean Yes! Yes, Donghae! I will marry you”

“Really?!?” he jumped out of joy “Woah! I didn’t expect this to happen. So... can I kiss you again?”

“Hmmmmmmmm...”

“Hey, you’re zoning out again. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee” he just showed his aegyo to make her laugh

“Ewww, don’t show me that. Stop it! Aish...Fine”

She then grabbed his scarf and started to kiss him again...chastely

“Lee Donghae...I’m officially yours” she smiled between the kisses

"I guess being 'yours' is worth the wait and of being rejected"

"I love you Donghae"

"I love you too"

"Don't wait for me anymore"

"I know"
