They meet again, in a set of film that produce by her new producer agency. She come to the set as one of the staff, she is looking at him who is focusing in his acting, and don’t know why when he kiss the female lead, it hurt her, so she avoiding it,

“Do you give check on the next set?,” the assistant director asked, “we’ll go there in 15 minutes,” he said, after heard that Sooyoung runs to the next set,

“It’s ready,” she said to through walkie talkie after checking the set

When the actors take a break, Sungjae keep looking at someone who is busy with her work, then smiling. His manager look at him and remind him,

“She isn’t yours anymore, stop looking at her with those eyes,” he said, Sungjae look annoying with his words,

“Am I doing something?,” he asked, “I couldn’t even looking at her, ” he said then leave them to the lake nearby. He sleep on the bench near the lake, when he is about to close his eyes he heard someone talking,

“Hmm..I’ll be home, don’t worry dad,” she said. Sungjae open his eyes after heard that voice, he know that voice really well,

“How have you been?,” he asked make her startled and looking for the one who asked her,

“Who are you?,” she asked, then Sungjae sitting so she can see him,

“It’s me,” he said, “how have you been?,” he asked once again,

“Not that bad,” she said, “you are doing really well now, congratulation,” then smiling to him.

Then an awkward moment come, both of them lowering their head,

“Thank you for the flower, sorry because it has been 5 month since you gave it to me, but I just say thank you now,” she said.

“Ah..it’s okay. Then congratulation too on your graduation, sorry because it’s too late to say it now,” he said, “so, you decided to work in the same agency as Changsub, he didn’t say anything to me about it,” he said, then both of them looking at each other, “ah..he always update me about his agency although I don’t take interest in it,” he said.

“Ah, is that so?, what are you doing here?,” she asked.

“Just, want to take a rest, PD-nim give us break time, so I want to sleep here,” he said while pointing at the bench, “then what about you?, ”he asked.

“Calling someone, then you can continue your sleep, I’ll leave,” she said but then,

“Wait..,” he said, “can you stay here for a minute?,” he said while lowering his head,

“Why?, is there something wrong?,” she asked.

“Just..I want to talk to you more, for this past year I couldn’t that,” he said.

“What?, then what’s the topic?, you want tell me a story of you for this past year?,” she said while walking toward him,

“I’m just busy with this work and that work. Instead of that, let’s talk about you, ” he said.

“About me?, what about me?,” she asked.

“Just, what were you doing in this past year?,” he asked.

“What were I doing?, just working hard to complete my duty as student, then looking for job, and taking care of dad. He is already come out from hospital, and slowly can talk..ah..sorry, you hate hearing that, right?,” she asked because she is worried that he still hate her dad, the atmosphere became awkward,

“Hate?, not really, it’s good news if he get better,” he said, “I’ll see him someday,” he said making her doesn’t believe what she jusrt heard, “I’ll go to see him someday, I already gathered courage to meet him and hear his explaination about that day,” he said, Sooyoung lowering her head, “so you won’t be sorry to me again,” he said, “now days, a nice dream replace that nightmare,” he said then smiling.

“Hmm, I’ll tell him that, he’ll be happy if you want to do that,” she said, “I must back to the set now, continue your sleep and have a nice dream,” she said, when she is about to leave him,

“Then, do you have boyfriend now?,” he asked, she turn her face to looking at her,

“Hmm, I’m too busy to get one,” she said then smiling to him, after that she really leave him,

“Me too, too busy to get one, and because I’m loving someone too much so getting another one was so difficult to me. Why are you leaving before heard me saying that?,” he said to himself then back to his sleep.

She is just warping up for today filming, while she walk in the lobby she meet someone, someone who hate ‘mom’ word, she is just passing by while bowing to her, but then her manager call Sooyoung, both of them look surprised by that,

“Are you working here again?,” he asked, Sooyoung answer that by smiling, “don’t both of you close to each other, you come to her house last year, right?,” he asked, Sooyoung doesn’t know how to answer,

“We are not that close, it was just I need her help at that time,” she said then pull her manager hand,

“Ah, then we’ll go first,” the manager said, then they leave her,

“Why meet her again?, make me hate today,” she said then leaving the building.

In her house she talk to her dad after having dinner with him, she’s pealing an apple for him then tell him about Sungjae,

“You know Sungjae, right?,” her dad nodding, “I meet him today, he is the lead male of the movie that I working in,” she said, her dad looking at her,

“How is he?,” he asked with low voice, “is he good?,” Sooyoung smiling while feeding him the apple,

“He is good, he want to meet you someday,” she said, he is frozen when heard that, “he want to hear your explanation about that day,” she said.

“I’ll apologize to him if he want to meet me, I know it came late, but I want do that,” he said then lowering his head, “doing bad thing….that became bad memory for him…is really my fault,” he said slowly.

The next day, they meet each other again in the filming location,

“I let dad know about it, about you who want to meet him,” she said, then he’s smiling, “he want to apologize to you, he doesn’t hope that you’ll forgive him, but at least he still want to say sorry to you,” she said.

“I’ll come then with dad, after all it start because of him. What happen to your family when your dad lost his beloved sister, it always make me sad,” he said, Sooyoung lowering her head, “give me your address, I’ll contact you when I come,” he said then,

“You can call me..,” she couldn’t continue it,

“Hmm..I’ll, your number still the same, right?, I’ll call you then,” he said and leave her.

Sungjae trying to persuade his dad so he want to come with him to meet Sooyoung’s dad,

“Before he gave me pain, you hurt his feeling as well, so I thought that it better to meet up and forgive each other. Are you going to became his enemy?, ” he asked.

“I already paying my debt to him by sending him update about his daughter, that’s more than enough,” his dad still doesn’t want to go, “now, is his turn to paying his debt, and you shouldn’t meet him, your bad dream will keep appearing if you did that,” he said.

“I want to end that kind of dream by meeting him, lately that dream didn’t come again, don’t worry,” he said. After an hour of debating, his dad finally give up,

“Okay, I’ll come tomorrow, but I won’t say anything,” he said, Sungjae smiling.

They come to a small house, not far from his dad hospital, her dad welcoming them with smile,

“You have grown up,” he said slowly while looking at Sungjae who sit in front of him. Sooyoung come with some snacks and drinks, “enjoy it, I asked her to make it,” he said in low voice, his condition get better day by day, “how are you, Sungtae-yah?,” he asked to his long time friend, “I’m sorry that I still couldn’t say my gratitude toward you, because you let me to know more about my daughter,” he said.

It’s still really awkward, both Sungjae and his dad couldn’t say anything, just sit silently there, but then when Sooyoung’s dad start his story about that day, “about that day, sorry for creating a bad memories for you, even if it came late, I really sorry. I couldn’t stay calm after losing my sister, at that time in my mind was always about revenge toward your dad. Then it make a family that I want to build became break even before I start to build it, everyday I say sorry to my daughter because she couldn’t see her mom,” he said.

“Then..it’s really a good decision to come here, I really want to hear what you want to say, I want to make those bad memories leave my mind by forgiving you after hearing your story,” he said.

“You really grown up, Yook Sungjae. I really hope those bad memories won’t appear again, I’ll say sorry to you everyday if you want it,” he said, “after my first revenge failed, I’m looking for another revenge, but then it end up I kidnapped you with my daughter. You don’t have to forgive me, because I made such a big mistake, ” he said.

“If there is someone who made such decision, I must forgive him, right?. Don’t worry, that bad dream didn’t come again, ” he said, Sooyoung’s dad smiling,

“Thanks god, ” he said in smile in relief. Both dad talking to each other after long time, they back to their old day as a friend, Sungjae come out from the house looking for Sooyoung. She is there, sitting on the chair near a small garden, Sungjae walking closer to her, she look focus on her phone,

“What are you doing?,” he asked, Sooyoung look surprised then showing him what she read just now,

“What is this?, do you know it?,” she asked. It’s a news about their meeting days ago, some photos taking by a media. They just upload it this morning, “you don’t look surprised at all,” she said.

“I know it since early morning, you just know it?,“ he asked, it’s like that’s not really big deal for him, “we weren’t doing anything, just talking, our distance not that close, why they are speculating that we are dating?,” he asked.

“Then you must give explanation to the media..,” she said, she look worried.

“What kind of explanation?, something like..we were dating each other, and now we are in a good relationship, like that?,” he asked, Sooyoung looking at him like she want to punch him,

“Why are you like that?, aren’t you afraid?,” she asked, “you got so many fans up until now, you are staring in a movie, if that dating news get big, then it’ll be problem for you, ” she said.

“I know that much, Park Sooyoung-ssi,” he said then smiling, “but someday, I must say something to the media, right?. I think, right now there will be some people who following me here,” he said while pointing at the house gate, “wanna see them?,” he asked then walking to the gate, but Sooyoung stop him, “why?,” he asked.

“Are you crazy?,” she thought that she is out of his mind right now, “but, dating scandal is better than our family secret that will knowing by public,” she said.

“You want to become black knight so our family secret won’t get known by public?,” he asked, “don’t do that, I hate that,” he said, “I’ll handle that, don’t think about it too much,” he said,

“Handle it quickly, so it won’t be affected your movie,” she said.

“Are you really worried now?,” he asked, he want to patting her head, but he is trying to hold it. Both of their father watching them from inside and say,

“They look good together.”
