The teacher shut her textbook and dismissed all the students to lunch. Joy took her backpack along with her lunch and headed upstairs toward the senior floor.

The school building are divided into four sections with freshman on the lowest and senior on the highest floor on the building. Since both Wendy and Minhyuk are a grade above her, Joy spend most of her free times on the fourth floor instead of her own.

When she arrived to the classroom, she was immediately greeted by an anxious Wendy.

“Hey did you have the autograph? How was the fan event? Was Sungjae just like the character he played in the drama?”

Joy took off her backpack and pulled out the autograph that was written for Wendy and handed to the older girl.

“He’s a snob. If I ever run into him again, I’m gonna twists his earlobes so hard he’ll turn into Buddha. If you ever decided you don’t want that wasted-of-a-paper anymore, let me do the honor and destroy it for you.”

Joy’s word bewilders Wendy.

“Why? What happened? Did he bullied you?”

“Tsk. Like he even have the guts to.”

The two ate their lunch while Joy explained the events that happened just a day ago to Wendy. Initially, Wendy became a fan of Sungjae because of Joy. She knew that Joy admires Sungjae and supports her by going along with her to fan meetings and watching majority Sungjae’s television broadcasts. 

“Hmm, that’s quite disappointing. I thought he would be different from the others. Well, don’t take it to heart too much.”

“It’s okay unni. I’m over it.”

“That’s good. But I’m surprised you were able to keep up with him during that whole chase. I mean you’re pretty much a turtle, you can’t do anything proper with those feet of yours.”

Wendy laughed as she teases, which earned her a slight push on the arm by Joy.

“I think he purposely ran slowly so that I could kept up with him. He didn’t seem like he’s was going his full speed.”

“Ohhhhh, he doesn’t sound so bad if you put it that way.”

“Still! That’s not the point unnie. One good deed does not overweigh a bad one. People can’t break a person heart and just sew it up later like nothing ever happened.”

Wendy giggled at Joy’s serious reaction. “I know but I kinda feel bad for the guy now. Out of all the fans, he had to run into my Joy. A girl who hold grudges like no others.”

The two finished their lunches and Joy went back to her classroom. On the way she came across one of her classmate, Rena. Rena is a slim, tall, dark brown hair girl that has the beauty and body any guys would fall head-over-heel for.

The girl approached Joy with a usual smirk on her face. However, as soon as she got into talking distance with Joy, Joy didn’t bothered to have a conversation and continued walking toward her seat in the classroom.

A week has passed since the fan meeting. Joy went back to her usual everyday life. The last period of the day had just begun and Joy was already too engulfed in the new fanfic she been working on to notices that most of her classmates had ran toward the window of the room.

“Hey, Park Joy, snap out of it. Didn’t you heard what the teacher said? We’re having a new classmate!” A girl with light brown hair pointed at the window where a crowd of her classmates had formed.

“Huh?! What’s going on Yeri? Don’t tell me there’s a terrorist attack?” Joy jumped from her seat but her clumsy feet fooled her again, causing her to trip and landed her butts on the concrete floor.   

“Aish! Earth to Joy. Didn’t you heard me? A new student is transferring to our school.”

“Owww...Uhh, okay.”

Uninterested, Joy pulled herself up and went back to her writing.

“I heard it’s a male student this time.”

“Cool...…”

“And he’s actually a celebrity too.”

“Ohhhhhhh.”

“Ahhh geez! What if it’s your husband, Yook Sungjae? You don’t care either?”

“…..Nope, that I do care.” Joy got up from her seat and cracked her knuckles as she walk toward the window. “I’m ready to twists some earlobes.”

“Okay, enough! Everyone, back to your seats.” Their homeroom teacher instructed the class. After all the students took their seats, the teacher opened her textbook and began their lecture on the Korean War once more.

“Hey, Yeri. Did you got a look like? Is it really my husband?” Joy whispered to the girl seating behind her.

“No, I didn’t. But from the rumors, I know that it’s a male celebrity.”

“Hum, why would any celebrity transferred to our school? We’re not famous or an Art School.”

“Beats me. I just hopes he’s good-looking.”

“Aishhhh!”

After the period ended, Joy packed her stuff into her backpack and headed downstairs to the main entrance. Usually Minhyuk would come to her classroom to get her, but on days when he’s running late Joy would wait for him at the entrance.

When she got outside, there was a crowd of girls surrounding what seems to be the new transfer student. Joy came closer to get a better look and saw the familiar figure hidden behind the group of girls.

Sungjae was signing autographs one by one for each of the individuals in the crowd. He looked up at the entrance of the building to see Joy sending out lasers from her pair of deep pearl eyes. Surprises to see the familiar girl, he gave her a wide smile and approached her.

“Hey, if it isn’t my number one fan. You go to this school too? Dang, situations like this make me look like I’m the stalker doesn’t it?”

“Oh! Since when do you care about your fans so much?”

“Geez, I already reflected on my actions. I won’t do it again. Here! I’ll like you to have this.” Sungjae hold out a signed autograph in front of her.

“Hey Joy, sorry to keep you waiting. Ready to head home?” Joy and Sungjae both turned to see Minhyuk coming toward them. Joy took the autograph from Sungjae and turned to Minhyuk.

“Yeah, let’s go sunbae. Oh, and I’ll trade you this for your lunch today.” Handing Minhyuk the signed autograph.

The two left the school ground and walked the path toward their homes with Joy now munching on a Vietnamese crepe, banh xeo.

“You’re fans are getting more and more creative by the days. Seriously, this stuff is jackpot.”

“Yeah, it’s quite unique isn’t it? Oh, by the way, what is this for? You never make payment for any of my foods.”

“You keep it. Or you can sell it if you want sunbae. It must be worth something.”

“Oh, so it’s trash to you? Isn’t it a gift from your husband?”

“……...”

“Alright, I’ll hold on to it. Don’t think about asking for it back later though.”
