Chapter 8
Death and Destined Death"Guess what, Wizard? It's time."
"Time for what?!" The Wizard bellowed, nervousness and frustration clearly painted on her voice.
"Eh, you don't know? I thought you knew everything?" Hoshin asked sarcastically, taking advantage of the situation. He was burning in rage inside. When all the other kids talk about their mothers, he gets left out. Because of the Wizard who killed his mother. When all the kids go around bragging about their fathers, he has to keep quiet. Because no one likes his father. Why? It's the Wizard's doing. He has no friends, it's because of the Wizard. No one likes the kid the Wizard likes to pick on, no one likes the kid who doesn't have a mother, no one likes the kid whose father is known as a criminal in the land. He never got to live, because of the Wizard.
"Go away!" The Wizard screamed once again. Darkness had dawned upon them, and the Wizard had started creating a cloud over them, which expanded to look like a huge storm cloud.
"You shall die!" She screamed in her high-pitched, croaky voice, letting a lightning form and be thrown towards Hoshin with an unruly hand gesture.
"Hoshin, move!" Howon shouted from afar. He failed to follow Hoshin as fast as he should have when the younger ran out of the house without a notice.
Howon jumped on his son and they rolled out of the lightning's electric reach just in time. The Wizard had gone crazy by the time Howon managed to bring them behind a fallen piece of roof to work as a shield. He was hugging his son tight, afraid of losing his only family. That's when he heard Hoshin mumbling, "I wish for the first dead within her to die."
Howon heard the Wizard letting out an ear piercing shriek, a shout of agony, as an exposure of pain. He held tighter onto Hoshin, but the latter was focused on staring at the Wizard from behind their hiding spot.
"What are you doing, Hoshin? " Howon could not help but ask his son. He felt so dumb suddenly, as if the 14-year-old in his arms knew far more than he did.
"You said that the dead lives within her, that the dead adds onto her lifetime. I am giving the dead inside her the death they deserve. I am letting them free, and letting the Wizard feel the pain of each of their death. Her death is inevitable, but it's going to be slower than she is expecting it to be. " Hoshin's voice was ice cold as he said those words. Suddenly, the child staring at the pained and screaming Wizard looked like a grown up man to Howon, as if he grew up in the blink of an eye.
"I wish..
