Chapter 7: Strange Things

"Wow. Your house looks amazing, Mrs. Seo" Jade dropped her bags and marveled at the building. Jaemin giggled and hold her shoulders behind her

"Silly dear, That's not our house. One of the condo units there is our home. Yeobo picked it for us two but didn't expect there are additional two rooms. He accept it and make it into a guest room and a library." Jaemin stand up straight and glance little at his husband who's busy calling someone over the phone "To be honest, I don't know what's the purpose of the library because we both know that we refer traveling than reading, but he said that it's for our future child." She look ahead and smiled a little

Sweet. The werefox thought,  Wait... huh?

"Yeobo?"Jade whipped her head at back again and saw a chuckling woman and an amused man

"Yeobo means 'Honey, Baby, Sweetheart' etc etc. There's another term for that; Jagiya," formed in an 'O' and slowly nodded her head. "And please call me Eomma" Jaemin added

"Now, Now ladies, Let's go inside. It's getting colder" Hyunho interrupt, pick up one bag and ushered them in. Jade quickly picked up her other bag and ran after them. 

When Hyunho and Jaemin reach the entrance, The door magically open that made Jade stepped back. The lady behind the, as what she assume a table but have no chairs, stare at the werefox with confusion, she bowed her head and clutch her coat tighter then walk behind the married couple.

Bright lights around the large room glared but she payed no attention to it. The nice feeling of warmness creep into her as she sigh in relief and dust off her long black coat. The aroma of sweet pastries entered her nose from an Earth food service store. Chatting people with uknown language confuse her but at the same time, the laughters and light aura that they give was pleasant for her

Humans are better than the creatures in Exopia. Exopians have majestic Exias yet have an unpleasant attitude.

Jade rolled her eyes at the thought of Victorique and her group--- I mean her people

"Jade! Come here!" Jaemin squealed and drag the zoning out girl. They went to a gray door and press the button beside it. 

The door opened and they immediately walked in. As the door closed, The elevator started to move up that made Jade clutch the handles

Oh have mercy sweet love of Mama. Sob

Jade prayed mentally and hold the handles tighter. At last, The machine made a sound and the door opened. The scared werefox squeak and leaped outside and look at the couple, trying to muffled their laughs. Clearing , she stood up properly and walk calmly like before. Everything is under control but she noticed that she coudn't hear the couple's footstep. She turned her head and tilt it as if asking them what's wrong

"Jade my dear, this way not there" Jaemin smiled hiding her snicker while his husband can't take it and laugh silently

The idea of revealing her secret and just transform into a fox, digging her way to Exopia had entered her mind

"O-oh, okay" She only replied and blush in embarrassment. Jaemin elbowed her laughing--almost dying husband to stop him from his acts. He wince and muttered incoherent words before following his wife now walking beside his instant daughter

When they reach a door with numbers (thank god she can read it), Jaemin excitedly punch the code and ushered her in.

The smell of lemons mixed with wood slapped her across the face as she went in. Warm breeze snuggled her shivering body. The walls reflected the color of the snow outside. The tingling sound of long metal instrument hanging beside the window echoed in her delicate ears. 

"Wow."

"Welcome to our home!" Jaemin clapped and looked her

"You can stay here as long as you want, Jade" Hyunho gently smiled at her

Suprised, she quickly looked at them "Really?"

The couple nodded. Their lips curled into a tender smile.

"Follow me Jade, Let's make a quick tour since it's getting late" Jaemin said and drag Jade again. The two went upstairs and stopped on to a door.

"This is our room! If you want something, just go straight to this room and we'll help you" Again, Jaemin drag her and went to another door

"This is the library, it's dusty and the books are tattered but still it's managable" She open the door and dust filled her sensitive nose. She sneeze and immediately close the door, not wanting Jade to inhale the dusts

"I'll clean that tomorrow" She sniffed and pull her away. At last, they reach the last door.

"And this," she open the door "Is your room"

The room is simple and cozy. The bed is large enough for 1 person to fit and is beside the window. The view outside is breath taking. Everything is light colored. Pleasing if you asked Jade.

"That little door over there is your closet." She said and gestured over the door beside the bed "It's empty but we'll fill it up when we go shopping some day" She grinned 

She look around, touch the table and look at them

"This is too much, Eomma" She muttered and stared at her innocently

"No, Jade. I know you ran away from home. You look like a good child, Jade." She sigh and went closer to her "I know, you woudn't abandon your home without a good reason" Jade look at her with greatfulness and bowed 90 degrees

"Thank you so much" She stand straight and showed her wide smile. 

The smile that she only show to the one who cared about her the most. The smile that she rarely give to anyone She hope that, her rare wide smile will be seen when she meet her mates

"Uhm... I know this is too early to ask you a favor but," She scratch her nape and sheepily smiled "Please rest tomorrow and I'll clean the library"

Silence surround them before a laugh bubbled in Jaemin's mouth

"Oh sure, sure. You can have it as well" Her lips curled into a smile. Jade threw her bag and hug Jaemin, muttering 'thank you's.

Unlucky for her, The bag is open and two exopian paper fell, burned itself, and went to god-knows-where

It's been three days since Jade joined the family. On the first day, They feel awkward for each other but then Jaemin broke the ice and have bonding but since Hyunho have work, Jaemin and Jade went shopping.
