Chapter 3: Who?

Sun shoned down at her as she furiously flipped pages. Wind blew and the leaves are sticking to her hair but she simply don't care. Mrs. Dane left after what she said, leaving Jade, dumbstruck. She read every single word and understand it.

"Every Exopians have 2 E--" She flipped to another page

"The most popular--" She blurted a 'no' and flipped another page. She turned it again, and again..and again. Then a page caught her attention. A torn page. Sentences are not clearly visible and some words are smudge.

"There....2..creatures...powerful...ch...d...ma...1..." Jade gave up and flipped another page. Then she finally found it

"Every Exopian's Exias shoul be matured when you are 6 years old." Her eyes widened and read more

" If your Exias are not yet matured in the right age, then it must be related to your mates" The last sentence of the page. She flipped the page and she saw that she's in the last page

"As we all know, Mates are important to us, Exopians. If you don't have them, You won't be able to live in this world..BLAH BLAH BLAH! I already know this!" Then her eyes trailed off to the last paragraph

"If your power is weak at the age of 5 and below, it's normal but if you're still weak when you are already 6 years old and above, then your mates are, unfortunately, dead."

Jade stared at the book for 5 minutes in utter shock. But then she remembered what Mrs. Dane said "they are in another world.." She tilted her head Huh? The book clearly said dead. Then why did Mrs. dane said they are in another world? Wh--

Her thoughts drifted away when she heard whimpers and hushed angry voices. She activated her fox ears and listened carefully

"How dare you to point an accusing finger on the almighty Vince. Huh. You make my blood, boil" the girl huffed in disbelief and Jade heard a rustle on the right.

She sneaked to the place and saw Victorique, Cynthia, Erea and......A new face. She must be the new student. I forgot her name tho.. She thought and mentally facepalm. She climbed up the tree and bring out a sandwich

"Victorique, punished her. Her actions are unacceptable." She said in gritted teeth. 

"Please...let me go"

"No" Victorique barked then, chains appeared on her wrist. They are tightly locked. Jade found Victorique's actions, childish. It's just a simple mistake, anyway. The girl's wrist turn red. She whimpered and muttered some words which they can't understand

"Appayo..appayo..Jebal" Her face is pleading. Cynthia scoffed and hold her face tightly

"Huh. Serves you right. Now, apologize"

"Why would she do that? Are you Vince?" Jade interefere, biting the sandwich she has. Cynthia roughly take her hands from the girl's face. The 3 look around and saw nothing. The new girl still on the floor trying to break free

"I'm here, you dummies" She snickered when she saw their priceless faces. They look up and saw the weak creature sitting on a tree. The human girl look up and saw Jade. A vision suddenly popped in her mind.

"Ah. It's just you" Victorique said and smirk. J
