Chapter 6
 

“Why did we have to come into work today its Sunday” Joy whines burying her head on the desk.

Yeri ignores her and continues to complete the paperwork on her desk with ease.

Joy glares at Yeri whose eyes are glued to the piece of paper

“Jagiya…jagiya…honeybun… squirtle” 

Joy sulks as Yeri continues to ignore her and puts her elbow on her desk cupping her cheeks

“I’m going to go to the break room for a bit” Joy says getting up.

“Alright” Yeri responds

she gives Joy a smile before the latter leaves the room. Once the girl is out of sight Yeri quickly packs her stuff into her suit case and leaves a note for Joy when she gets back

the girl walks and slightly opens the door checking to see if Joy is hiding anywhere from her sight.

“Joy is using the bathroom so you better hurry up and vanish before she comes back” Jihyo says at the front desk

“Thanks” Yeri bows and starts to speed walk towards the entrance

Things were looking good until Jihyo urges Yeri to rush behind the desk

“Quickly hide in here” Jihyo says as she push Yeri under the desk to avoid Joy who just got out of bathroom

“Jihyo are you alright?” Joy asks noticing the girl was putting something away quite vigorously.

Jihyo looks up to notice the latter and swipes her hair to the side “yeah I just got a package for the new secretary”

“Oh really now” Joy smirks. “whatcha hiding?”

“Nothing for you that’s all you need to know” Jihyo says putting on her poker face.

“Alright if you insist because I already know it’s for me” Joy smirks

Jihyo sighs and gives in “fine what I was hiding…….was my feelings for you” Jihyo smirks

Joy rolls her eyes “yeah right”

*Jihyo’s expression softens*

“I’m actually serious though you just never paid attention because you were head over heels for Yeri pabo-ya “

Joy blinks twice in hoping that Jihyo was kidding and would say something but the girl remained quiet.

Joy awkwardly scratches her nape “I guess I really am oblivious huh”  

The latter nods in response

“I guess I should go now”

“You should but promise me this won’t change anything between us” Jihyo says

Joy nods in response

after the girl walks around the corner out of sight Jihyo signals Yeri to come out of hiding

The latter walks up to the girl and hugs her

“thanks and I’m sorry” she whispered

Jihyo pulls out of the hug “It’s ok we’ve talked about this before you two started dating come on now don’t go all sour on me now” Jihyo pouts

Yeri smiles “alright and don’t worry I won’t tell Joy the actual truth”

“pft please you knew I had a crush on Joy” Jihyo says hitting the girl on the shoulder

Yeri shrugs “alright tell yourself that” and started walking towards the door

“Take care of yourself Jihyo”

“You too Yeri-ah and have fun on your date” she smiles as she sees Yeri exit the building

Jihyo sighs “I wonder where we would be had I confessed first”

“At a different company”

Jihyo turns towards the voice only to hear Nayeon whose dress in a simple white blouse and black skirt.

“Maybe, maybe not” Jihyo replies

“Anyways I am here to see Seulgi” Nayeon says grabbing a pen out of her purse

“Seulgi starts tomorrow and you never gave your resignation to Sana if you’re leaving us and going to work somewhere else” Jihyo says

“That’s the issue because I don’t know if I want to stay in the group, sure I have stayed in contact with everyone but I don’t know what to do anymore” Nayeon says

Jihyo sighs “well another disappointment in my life check”

“What’s the first Yeri?” Nayeon smirks

“funny ha ha ha no its being a trainee for 10 years to finally debuting to working at a rival company until Sana fixes the place up at JYP”

“Watch Cheer Up get scraped too” Jihyo says

Nayeon sighs “Well let me know when—“

“I get here?” a family voice interrupts her train of thought

Nayeon whips her head around to find none other than Seulgi walking through the door

Nayeon smirks “Guess you like to start early don’t you?”

“Jihyo take the day off and both of you come with me, we got a meeting to attend to” Seulgi said looking at Jihyo.
 

Jihyo nods in response and throws on her jacket

“Alright let’s roll then”

A/N: I apologize for the short chapter. I thought I would have more time to work on it but can't since I have to head out to see family for the holiday. I'll see if I can write in my spar time up there but it would be minimal so I will try to give a double update since 1, I said joyri is coming your way and 2 I pretty much gave away what the chapter after that will be about and 3 I havent dont anything for the story in a month and thats too long of a break otherwise id drop the story because I am forgetful (lol)
