YongGuk arrived at his hyung house and as his twin opened the door, he tilted right away. “What's wrong ?”

“I just got called an hearing man by my wife. That I couldn't understand her struggles.” YongGuk blurted out. He needed to release some of his anger.

“Enter.” His brother told him, getting worried by his words.

YongGuk did so and looked at the twin girls of his hyung, slowly coming to him. He lifted both of them in his arms. “Hey it's uncle, how are my little stars today ?”

“Okay !! You saw our dresses ! Dad bought them for us today !” He let them on the floor so they could spin and show off their dresses. As he laughed, he took the hand of Moon Byul and Han Byul to kiss their hands. The princess etiquette here. He felt already better being here, he played with them on the carpet, in the living room and didn't notice the worried eyes of the couple on him. He raised surprised eyes on them when they pronounced his name.

“I'm taking care of them if you want. Go on a date, I'm staying here.” He said to the parents.

“You're sure you don't want to talk about it ?” YongJoon asked gently.

YongGuk pointed at the twins and shook his head. “I want to play with Byul and Byul, can I ?”

YongJoon sighed. “Okay so let's have a date Jihyun." They went to change themselves and arrived outside,Jihyun finally asked about YongGuk. “So they fought ?”

“Yeah. He's sleeping there tonight, he needs to be alone but not so much you know ? I want to ripp her eyes off her face when I see YongGuk like this.” YongJoon said feeling really angry. He felt like visiting Eunji and yelling at her for making his twin brother this moddy and sad.

Jihyun sighed. “Stop. Stop interfering in their lovelife. It's normal that they fight. We fight. You suffered during my pregnancy, remember ? Let Eunji breath for a while okay ?”

He surrended at those wise worlds. “So what do you want to do ?”

“Hmm Karaoke !!!”

YongGuk changed himself and opened the door of the twins. Afther the bath he gave them, Hanbyul and MoonByul were sleeping on their bed, holding hands. Everything was fine here. It was only with their parents that they were little devils, not him. He stared at them and realized that he will have twins too. Two little identical human beings. Life was funny. It would be the fourth pair of twins in the Bang family, his dad having older twin sisters. He chuckled slightly as he closed the door and sat on the guest room bed.

He missed touching her bump. Feeling their warmness. It was hard for him to realize that the babies were here. Eunji let him touch her bump at night after work and usually he just sleep hugging her belly, in a protective manner. He had high hopes that if the babies got used to him now, they wouldn't be shy next when they'll move. He frowned as he realized it was the hour they usually started to cuddle. Eunji would read while he listenned to music.

But tonight …. he had mixed feelings. At the same time he wanted to leave the house and get back to his pregnant wife, holding all their family in her and yet he was still resenting her. He just wanted to male sure she was fine. He looked at his phone and surprisingly there was a message.“Took a taxi to get home. I'm going to sleep, Goodnight.”

He laid on the couch and grabbed the photo of his babies inside Eunji belly. It was easy to spot the two little foetus on it. Even if he was craving to be next to them, he couldn't at the moment, he still had to look after the twins of his hyung. And they were fine. Yeah. Eunji could be harsh with her words but she'd take care of her during the pregnancy.

A week later

YongGuk was in the pediatry service looking at the babies being taken care of  in the nursery. “Oh you're the dad from last time.”  He looked at the cute nurse that helped his pediatric and bowed. “So you work at the hospital that's why your face looked familiar.”

“Ah yes. I work in neurology so I'm pretty far from this department.” He revealed, eyes still on the babies. He came each day of the week, like he was in need to be close to new borns. As if the lack of contact with his own babies would be fulfilled this way.

“You came to see the babies. Gosh you must be excited.”

He nodded quietly, letting her talk about the babies, not really listening to her. Suddenly she asked seriously : “Aren't you afraid ?”

“Huh ? Of what ?”

“Your wife is deaf … maybe it's not the ideal condition to become a mom. Or even if your children get deaf it's going to be a shame. We were saying with Doctor last time that's it's a shame your wife is deaf, she couldn't even listen to the heartbeat.”

YongGuk was baffled. “When did you say all of that ?”

“During the heartbeat listening. I felt so bad for her.” The woman said, not getting how angry he was.

“Do you know my wife can read on lips ? She might seems like a retarded to you. But she's observative.” He stated dryly.

“Oh I just, sorry if I offended you.” She excused herself, mumbling. YongGuk sighed. “Me ? Am I really the person offended here ?” He take a breath and left. He had a 8 hours operation he can't ditch before leaving. He set him for the surgery and let his problems leave his body as he concentrated on the body on the surgery table. He was the assistant of the head surgeon, watching over his suregries and sometimes practising some technics.

When he finished that surgery, he felt so exhausted.

“YongGuk you can't be angry at her forever.” YongJoon said to him during the meal. His brother let him be for a whole week, thinking that the situation would resolve itself naturally.

“She's pregnant.” Jihyun added with a soft voice.

YongGuk nodded. “Yeah. Did I tell you we're having twins ?”

YongJoon sighed at this bitter tone, he wasn't used to see YongGuk in such mood. “That's amazing and I'm sure you worry about them and their mother.”

“No, you forget how I can't understand her ?” YongGuk said bitter once more. YongJoon sighed.

“YongGuk it's true. You're not deaf. You can't understand fully what she's living as a deaf person. It's logical, you might be one of the most empathetic guy I came across but you have to comprehend that.”

The youngest twin frowned. “I try my best. Really. But she treats me like someone that is unsensible to her condition. That upsets me.”

“You need to say that to her okay ? You left just after. That's good because you were really angry but now you have to face her. I know it's not something nice to say, but pregnant women they are not the softest. Their body is changing and she's worrying it's normal. I think it lasted enough, if it takes a tool on her, it could impact the babies.” YongJoon tried to bring some reason into him. That situation would for sure affect Eunji mood, making her nervous or even anxious.

“Really ?”

“Yeah so you should swallow your pride and go talk to her.”

“And why me ?”

YongJoon sighed. “You'e not the one with raging hormones and two living beings in your belly, it up. Eunji she's not a bad person, the words just slipped out.”

“It hurted.”

“Maybe something trigerred her. Like stares ? Judgemental eyes ? You know she's sensitive about that. ”

YongGuk stayed silent. “It was a blissful moment for me. I didn't notice how the nurses and doctors were pitying her. But today I met the nurse and yes indeed, she said in front of Eunji that she was pitiful.”

“What are you even doing here then ? YongGuk I don't understand.” YongJoon asked, confused. His twin was always the first to step up and protect Eunji and give her very much needed comfort.

“I'm so ashamed. I should have understood that something went wrong. But I didn't.” YongGuk explained, head low.

“It's almost been one week YongGuk, do something. You have to talk to her. I don't want you here anymore and if I learned you went to the hospital to sleep, gosh ...”

YongGuk sighed and went out of that flat to walk a bit. Snow started to fall and he sat in the swings, feeling depressed. Was he a good husband enough ? He was too busy. Always having to perfect himself and practise. Why did he had to concentrate only on the heartbeat, eyes on Euni belly when people were hurting her with their words. He was supposed to be the hearing man. He started to walkaround the neirborhood and he came back to his house, by instinct. They lived in the suburbs of Seoul, near Incheon. They bought this little house with their savings and enjoyed the life in a real house after years being in a flat, having a garden, a garden saloon and finally cooking barbecue at home. Thye didn't live far from YongJoon, a twenty something walk from their flat.

It was now early in the morning and the sun was rising despite the snow falling. He  decided to enter his house, ready to ask for forgiveness to his wife. It was  in a real mess. He picked up some chocolate box and noticed the one he ordered for her was almost empty. He sighed. “Eunji ?”

He searched her everywhere even in the closet she wasn't here. He realized their dog were absent too. So they must be walking around in the neirborghood. Or she is sleeping at her parents house. He took some clothes for himself and left promptly.

Coming back to his brother building he  walked across the children playground and spotted a familiar figure. Pilou was quietly sat on the snow, watching over her. His wife was sitting on the top of the kid slide, not deciding herself to get down. He couldn't believe she was here. Eunji. His stubborn and fierce wife. As she sighed, her phone slipped out of her hands and slided down the slide, landing in the sand. YongGuk picked it out and removed every bit of snow on her phone.

She stayed here froze as he gave her back her phone. “Be careful. What are you even doing in the early morning here ? You're pregnant Euni !” YongGuk signed. He was already far from her so if she was taking risk for her health …

“I'm afraid. Like really. I'm afraid of becoming a mother. That I'll be a bad mom. I worry about how I would educate them or communicate with them. I know they will pick up both signing and speaking if they're hearing. But I just. So much worries fill my mind YongGuk.”

He stared at her, hugging a pillar of the slide, like a scared child.

“And ?” He added, really curious of Eunji voicing out her fears.

“I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have said that to you. I don't even think that about you. It was wrong and mean. You're like the perfect husband. You even bought my favourite chocolate for me.”

She shoved her hand in her pocket and gave a chocolate to YongGuk. “I ate half of the box. If you accept my apologies, eat the chocolate and if you don't, give it back to me. It's expensive don't throw it away.”

He considered the thing for a second before handing back the chocolate to Eunji. She looked at it with sad eyes. “Okay I accept your decision. I deserve it. I'm a fool. And a mean one at it.”

He made her silent by pecking her lips. “I hate those violet jelly filled chocolate Eunji. Just eat them I accept your apology.” He opened the plastic and put it in front of . “Say ah.” He put the chocolate in gently and she looked down, eating it slowly.

“I also have excuses to give. I just learned that the nurse didn't behave well with you. I'm sorry about that.”

YongGuk looked at her chocolate stained cheeks and giggled. She cried and wiped swiping the chocolate on her left cheek. His eyes spotted her hands resting on her belly and he eagerly did the same.“Gosh I missed them.”

Eunji looked at him kiss her bellybutton with a smile and felt sorry for that ruckus. She made him worry selfishly. Her hand came to caress his face now resting against her belly. “I missed you. I just … You're the husband a lot dream of having. I never want to upset you again. No more heated arguments between us. I'm too weak and in love with you to do that.”

“Slide down now. It's getting late and it's freezing. Let's go home before you catch a cold”

As much as he wanted to have her belly in view he zipped up her winter jacket and rearranger her scarf around her neck.

He kissed her cheeks and looked at her d go down the slides. The slide was really short. She locked eyes with YongGuk, he was standing up, looking at her with his head down while she was sat at the end of the slide, raising her head. "Why aren't you standing up ?" YongGuk suddenly asked, breaking the staring between them.

"YongGuk you really thought I could get up alone with this huge belly ? Gosh, someone yesterday thought I was in my ninth month."

He laughed at that revelation and helped her to stand up. He removed the snow on her head and kissed her lips. YongGuk had a  frown after that. “I hate the taste of this  chocolate.” He explained himself, taking the leash of Pilou and greeting the dog who was begging for attention by him since he arrived.

Eunji laughed at this revelation. “That only makes more for me. Would you buy it again for me ? It's super delicious ! ”

YongGuk rested his arm on her shoulders and did a little head nodd, making Eunji clap in her hands. “Anything for my lovely wife.”
