He lifted her in his arms and ringed the bell. Her father opened the door, surprised by this view .

“You're YongGuk right ?”

The young man had a chuckle and nodded. He entered the house and went to drop Eunji on her bed uptairs. He took time to put her blanket over her body and her Moomin plushie in her arms. He couldn't help but sit on the edge of the bed and  caress her shiny hair with his hand. He decided to go after a light peck on her cheek and closed the curtains and the door. He got downstairs and her father hugged him.

“It's good to see you here, son.”

YongGuk tried to pat the man back and felt a little relieved when he pulled away. “Gosh, you're so skinny. I'll make you something real quick. Come here.”

YongGuk sat in the kitchen and looked at Yo Han cook with skilled hands. “Eunji is learning with me. She was down these days, so I convinced her that those lessons would be great as distraction. She is really talented at cooking.”

“Well, she might have the best professional chief at home.” YongGuk complimented him.

He laughed shortly. “Thanks. But she learns really fast, unlike her mom.”

“I guess Eunji is more cooperative."”

“She is. At the end, she is a really obedient girl. Her mom told her to sing, she did so, now I tell her to cook and she just cooks for me. ”

“She surely want to." Yo Han sighed. "Sometimes it's hard to know. She's really talented at just listening to us."

“She tries to be a good daughter.” YongGuk said.

“She is. She doesn't have to try harder., I'll love of her whatever happens,  she's my only child. My friends always told me I should be father of 5 kids. Fate decided other ways. Your dad is so lucky, 2 sons and a daughter.” Yo Han said with envious eyes. He wouldn't exchange Eunji for a larger family, but it must be nice to have sons like YongGuk and his twin.

“It's not like he raised us either.” YongGuk said. His dad didn't know his chance.

Her father nodded. “Yes, but you're a good man and I 've met your twin. He's really charismatic too. I'm sure your sister is a nice girl too.”

“Ah Hyung told me he've met you. Not too confused about us ?”

“Ohh except the physical aspect, you two are really different. Okay, so it's almost ready, mind giving me a hand ?” The dad said witha warm smile. YongGuk realized that Eunji have the same heartwarming smile. He nodded and stood up to get next to the man.

YongGuk followed his instructions carefully. Suddenly YoHan had a little chuckle, seeing YongGuk pour the soy sauce with such precision. Hearing that, YongGuk stopped his actitivity and raised his eyes on YoHan,, with a worried expression.

“Am I doing it wrong ?”

“No, it's good.” The Chief reassured him. YongGuk got back to his task and YoHan smiled seeing him get concentrated. He could see what made YongGuk different from YongJoon, and also what made Eunji fall for him. Definitely.

They ate the delicious food with appetite. YongGuk was glad to find back such delicious food after months of army canteen. They  chitchatted comfortably until YongGuk fell like fainting because he needed sleep.

“Go and sleep. You need this. I'll do the dishes myself, don't worry for me.” The father said before pushing him in the stairs.

He decided to believe him and got upstairs, after brushing his teeth with Eunji toothbrush he removed his pants and searched for a shirt of him in her furniture. He find a white tee and put it on before lying next to his sleeping beauty. He took her in his arms and enjoyed her warm body against his. YongGuk couldn't help but peck her neck with precaution before closing his eyes. He was next to the person that cared the most about him.

When Eunji woke up in YongGuk arms the next morning, she sighed out of relief. Yesterday wasn't a dream. He was really back. As it was friday and she had an early class she got up, not really wanting to. She stayed in bed untill she had just 15 minutes to get ready and run for the bus.

YongGuk woke up with sounds of blanket moving around and someone jumping on bed. He sat up only to see Eunji next to him fully dressed, with  a big smile.

He groaned and turned to her. “Are you going somewhere ?”

“Nope. I just came back for my class.” Eunji revealed.

He nodded before gasping. “Wait what time is it ? 2 in the afternoon” He widened his eyes making her chuckle. He didn't sign yet Eunji unsderstood his surprise without any trouble.  She kissed his cheek and she cuddled against his body.

YongGuk let her cuddle against him and when she raised her eyes to his, he asked. “What about going back home ?”

Eunji nodded with an half smile, he gently held her waist. They waited for the bus in silence, Eunji just loving his presence here. They were holding hands and hopped on the bus this way.

YongGuk looked at the girl hiding in the crook of his neck. She seemed in a good mood despite being sleepy, he understood she was probably so tired from the double major. They opened the door of their apartment and entered.

“So what are our plans for this week end ?” He asked with a grin.

“The weekend ?” Eunji repeated unsure.

The young male nodded, he knew she wanted more. She opened , wanting to say something, before just closing it back. She sighed and stood up. “I'm going to take my bath.”

YongGuk grabbed her wrist. “Wait for me !”

He backhugged her and kissed her neck. She pulled away with a black glare. “Alone. I'm tired.”

“Eunji I know it's not a lot but-"

“A weekend ? When it's been six months we didn't see each other ? When we don't call each others ? I can't do this anymore. I'm exhausted.” Eunji said in a whisper. He would have prefer her to scream and hit him but she was just whispering, barely loud enough for him to hear her. She wiped a tear and sat back on the sofa. She looked like she didn't know what to do.

 “I want this to stop” She suddenly stated.

The young man tilted with those words and kneeled in front of her, before raising her head. “You mean, us, our relationship ?”

Eunji looked at him. He looked as tired as her. She wondered how his training was. How he was doing with all of that. He looked worried over her answer. She shook her head.

“ I can't stand you not being there.”

YongGuk nodded. And kissed her lips. She didn't respond. “Eunji, I know we don't have a lot of time but we should enjoy it okay ?”

“When you leave, I wonder when you will come back, and when you're here I wonder for how much time. When I'm alone, I just want you to pop out of nowhere and stay with me. Gosh, YongGuk, I can't conceal my feelings like before and play the happy girlfriend anymore. I'm tired of this rollercoaster of emotions.”

YongGuk stayed silent. What could he do to change that ? He wasn't sure talking to his dad would work, he never had a conversation with the man after the previous incident.

“Eunji, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you were feeling this lonely. But right now, I can't change anything about it.”

The girl nodded silently and stood up, before shrugging with a smile that made YongGuk's heart ache. “I know. It's not your fault. I do know. Yet I feel it's upsetting, it's unfair for you. For me. For us. ”

YongGuk looked at her sigh deeply. She looked like someone that resigned to this situation, despite her glittering eyes. Eunji juts looked a deceived child that discovered that Santa Claus does not exist. He hated that uneasy expression on her, her being sad and trying to conceal it again. She said she was tired, why is she still trying then ?

He grabbed her hands, putting them on his shoulders, trying to reconnect them by physical contact. “ I missed you too. I take more time to sleep when you're not here running your fingers on me. I miss waking you up. I was a complete mess too these months..."

She hesitated for a while seeing his sad expression. He ran his hand in his hair and she noticed the small shaking of hands. "Screw it." She whispered. YongGuk didn't have time to look at her that she was hugging him tighly.

Eunji didn't need her hearing to understand that he was crying. How his body shakes, and how his breath is shagged. She hugged him tighly until his breathing became normal again. She had cried too much when he wasn't there, and wondered often how YongGuk dealt with it. He just burries every feeling deep down.  Eunji  whispered sweet nothings to his ears, hoping that it would be enough to soothe his burdened heart. She was caressing his hair fondly when she noticed that he stopped to cry.

She had a smile seeing that and suddenly, she felt the change of mood. Eunji couldn't help but feel relaxed when he started to kiss her neck, alterning pecks and genious bites. YongGuk had a giggle.

“Sorry … I can't help it. It's been so long now.” The young soldier signed, after breaking the hug, but still gently holding her waist. and Eunji nodded, wiping away the remaining tears on his cheeks. She looked at him smile and the only reason she closed her eyes was to press her lips on his.

When Eunji woke up, she was alone in bed. Was everything a dream ? A fabrication of hers ? She quickly gained the kitchen and looked at YongGuk  doing dinner. She poked his side and he smiled seeing that she was up.

“My little sloth. You're finally out of bed.” He teased up, enjoying the view in front of him : the hair he messed up, the puffy lips from sleeping and swollen eyelids, the cute dress pyjamas she bought with cats on it. The cutest thing ever. He missed the days when this view was a daily eyecandy.

Eunji pouted. “Sorry, you should have wake me up.”

“You were completely deeply  sleeping. And you were exhausted yesterday.” He reminded her before going back to his cooking.

The young girl nodded, while looking at the hour. It was already the evening. Tomorrow she needs to set an alarm. She kissed his lips. “Tonight let's cook together. I've became really good you know.”

“Really ?”

“I have the best professor in the world.” Eunji said with a big grin. YongGuk giggled. He looked at her sparkling eyes, her soft smile, she was talking to him about school and gossip with a pretty voice. This is the Eunji he fell in love with. The smily and giggling Eunji, the one that gets shy over details. This is the woman he wants to spend the rest of his days with.

YongGuk  tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. He pulled her earlobe, just to and get a frown from her. However, she did something unexpected. She ran her fingers on his smile. It was so wide. He grabbed her hands, because her fingers were tickling his face and the young hard of hearing girl grabbed his hands and inspected them.

“Did you apply cream every night ?” She asked, with a suspicious voice. These hands were not as smooth as they used to be.

YongGuk nodded with an encouraging smile. “Sure.... until I ran out of cream.”

Eunji  shook her head in disappointment before leaving the room and coming back with cream. “This is my favourite cream. It's expensive. Use it well.” The young female warned him before handing it to YongGuk. She refused to remove her fingers making YongGuk laugh.

“I can buy another one if you want to. An even more expensive one.”

She shook her head. “Just take care of your hands okay. And yourself in general.”

YongGuk nodded, looking at her open the tube and pouring some cream on his hands. She started to massage them so the skin will absorbed moisture. Eunji was a little bit embarassed, feeling YongGuk stare on her. "Don't stare." She groaned, making him just touch her forehead with his own forehead. She smiled at his silly joke and pecked his lips before going back  to her task, concentrated. 

He relaxed himself and soon Eunji bursted in laughters.

“. We're cooking.” She ran back to the kitchen and was soon followed by her boyfriend.
