Jimin
Not like the moviesHe stood at the arrivals gate, cap pulled down low to hide his face, a mask on just to make sure no one would recognise him. Luckily it was late at night and no one expected him to be there. Except one person. The person he was waiting on. He checked the board again, her flight had landed almost half an hour ago. He knew that she was probably waiting for her suitcase, but that didn’t make the waiting any easier. They had been separated for a month, and he was desperate to see her.
People slowly trickled through the door, all looking bleary eyed as they hugged their loved ones or headed off to find a mode of transportation to take them wherever they were going. Finally, he spotted her. Her hair frizzy from being slept on, her clothes a little wrinkled from being slept in. She looked left and right until she spotted his familiar figure waving at her. She smiled brightly before rushing towards him.
He opened his arms, ready to sweep her into a bear hug. Instead, she barrelled into him full force, sending the two of them flying to the ground. He let out a loud grunt of pain as he landed on his back, his arms wrapped around her to make sure she landed on him and didn’t get hurt. “Oh my god, Jiminie! I’m so sorry! Are you ok?” she asked as she scrambled off of him, the people around them giving them disapproving looks. He chuckled and winced as he sat up, throwing her a reassuring smile. “I take it you missed me?” he teased.
She pouted and pushed his arm. “Shut up. Of course I missed you.” He chuckled and gave her a quick peck. He stood up and offered her his hand. “Come on, let’s go home.” It may not have been the romantic scene he had imagined, but as long as she was in front of him, it didn’t matter.
