M O N S T E RTeaser 03
Mingxia was busy practicing yangge with her mother, Yanna, when a child ran into their house, drenched in tears and something red. Blood. Mingxia and Yanna immedately ran over to the familiar child, checking to make sure he wasn't hurt and attempted to retrieve any information about whatever happened to him. The child continued to wipe tears off his face with his hands that were balled into fists, body trembling in fear from the aftermath of the slaughters that he had witnessed.
"Minghao gege-" Between his frantic cries, the child could only muster up the two words. Yanna's blood ran cold and she began shaking the child.
"What is it? What happened to Minghao?" Yanna's harsh shaking scared the child further and he retracted himself from her hold as more tears began to fall. By now, Yanna was also b with tears and even Mingxia was anxious.
She couldn't wait any longer for the child to just stop crying she had to find out what had happened to her brother that was making this boy cry so frantically. With that thought in mind, Mingxia dropped her fan and ran out of the house. With feline grace, Mingxia leapt onto the roofs to be able to see more ground, catching sight of the backs of several men wearing black wheeling away a wagon full of bodies. From the way that the men were moving quickly and silently, Mingxia could tell that the men were not to be messed with and she stuck to the shadows as she watched them. She followed them deep into the kingdom's neighbouring forest where they set the bodies on fire; one of which, was her brother. She forced herself to remain crouched behind a cluster of bushes where the men couldn't see her.
Although Mingxia was never particularly close with her brother, mostly out of jealousy that he was slightly better than her at their family clan's form of martial arts, tears rolled down her face. Her lips felt dry and it felt as if something had gotten caught in , causing her to choke slightly. She bit the bottom of her lips to prevent her cries from being heard by the men that were burning all the bodies. Mingxia watched her brother diminish before her very eyes, the blood from the apparent wound sizzling and bubbling as it heated until his body was burned to a crisp. She balled her hand into fists, gripping the soil beneath her, the soil that was stained with the dripping blood of her people, innocent people who left their hometown to escape the impending civil war.
She was going to make sure everyone who had a hand in this mindless slaughter pay.

Viv's Notes — Teaser 03 is finally up! I decided to keep the original plot so there will be no time traveling lel. Btw, although I did say technically everyone is chosen, some are main characters while others are secondary main characters and might have an early death. So if you are not ok with that, you can pm me and I will let you know honestly how long your character will be written for. And if you wish to pull your character out, I'm ok with that.
