Date? Wrong!

Junhong was set up on a date, a blind one by his friend. He was kind of scared, and also excited in some kind of way. Not only was he about to meet someone new, it could be the start of a new friendship or more. 
Youngjae was sat at his usual table in his favourite cafe, and as per usual he was alone. Daehyun comes over with a plate full of pancakes, and chocolate sauce and strawberries.
“Youngjae you really need a date you are always alone” Daehyun said smiling 
“I don't mind being alone unlike you Daehyun I don't have a problem with being alone” Youngjae said smiling 
“I can handle being alone” Daehyun spat acting offended
“Yeah and I remember you whining to me about how one day this cafe was completely empty and you were all alone oh what was it ‘Youngjae save me I'm all alone I’m going to go insane’ ‘oh god the silence is killing me maybe everyone has left Korea’ Daehyun the best way to torture you would be dumping you in a room all alone you wouldn't last a second” Youngjae retorts 
“That's not true” Daehyun spat offended
“Try telling yourself that” Youngjae murmurs 
Daehyun huff before leaving Youngjae alone, he smiles to himself. His best friend was so easy to tease, he laughs to himself while tucking into the pancakes.
“Hi uh I...I’m Junhong” A voice suddenly broke his thoughts
He looks up to see a young boy looking at him, he couldn't be more than a year or maybe 2 years younger than him. He was also quite handsome, so Youngjae didn't mind his interruption. Junhong sat down in front of him, awkwardly twiddling his fingers.
“Hi I'm Youngjae” Youngjae finally replied
“I'm sorry I uh...I’ve never done this before” Junhong stammered out shyly 
“That's ok….uh...same here” Youngjae said smiling
He has caught on pretty quick, Junhong was on a date. A blind one at that, he must have thought that Youngjae was his date. Youngjae smiles at the shy boy, waiting for him to say something. A ringtone breaks out, causing Junhong to reach for his phone. 
Junhong's face drops as he read the message, sent to him from Jongup. 

Jongup's text: Hi Zelo, I’m sorry your date stood you up decided to play a sickie sorry hope you're not too disappointed

Junhong made a huge mistake, an complete utterly hugely embarrassing mistake. He looks up at Youngjae, and smiles at him nervously.
“I...I’m really sorry I...I got this wrong I’m meant to be on a blind date I thought...I’m sorry” Junhong rambled out
“Oh that's ok I don't mind” Youngjae replied smiling warmly
“I’ll just be going now sorry again” Junhong said as he got up 
“Wait...don't go...I could do with the company and you probably made effort why put it to waste because your date didn't come?” Youngjae asked smiling softly
“Oh...uh...ok” Junhong stammered as he sat back down.
He look around a bit awkward, and a little bit shy. Youngjae goes up to the counter and orders a drink for Junhong, he chose one of the star drinks. Joining Junhong he offered him a pancake, he is kindly rejected though.
“I’m allergic to pancakes” Junhong said smiling shyly
“Allergic to pancakes? and you come to a pancake oriented shop?” Youngjae asked shocked
“Well not really allergic more or less just have a huge distaste for pancakes” Junhong corrected
“That's a sin in my books...Pancakes are life...so Junhong how old are you? And what do you do with yourself?” Youngjae asked him
“I'm 20 well actually I'm 19 but it's literally a week away until my 20th birthday and I'm just starting at University I’m training to become a professional dancer you?” Junhong smiled
“22 as of January and I'm halfway through my own Uni course for photography” Youngjae said smiling
“That's sweet maybe you could photograph me dancing” Junhong said grinning 
“Haha you're right maybe I could if you're willing to dance for me….so what is a 19 year old doing going on a blind date?” Youngjae asked amused
“My best friend thought I should hope on the love boat because every time we go out he has his girlfriend with him I felt like a third wheel” Junhong explained 
“A Chocolate supreme with crunchy toffee chunks and a caramel surprise milkshake for one” Daehyun said as he placed it down
“Uh...I didn't order this” Junhong said confused
“I did I got you a drink...one of the bests just try it” Youngjae informed him
“Oh you didn't have too” Junhong said thankful 
“So what's your name? Are you interested in my best friend? He is a keeper” Daehyun boasted 
“I'm Junhong” Junhong said smiling 
“Oh if your wondering he is definitely single and so ready to jump into the world of dating and fri-” Daehyun began
“Daehyun shut your pie hole” Youngjae snaps slapping him
“Oww what was that for?” Daehyun whined rubbing his hurt arm
“Go away go serve customers” Youngjae retorts annoyed
“Oh fine” Daehyun huffed
Annoyed that he couldn't join in, and big up his friend some more. He was ready to like send them off to a wedding venue.
“Sorry about him...he’d talk your ear off if you let him” Youngjae said embarrassed 
“That's ok...do you hang here because your friend works here?” Junhong asked curious 
“You could say so...he is bit of a social bug and he tends to like having company around him this place can get rather quiet and when that happens he gets well really lonely like he just hates being alone...so I come here quite a lot when I can to keep him company” Youngjae explained 
“Oh right that's really kind of you...how much do I owe you for this shake?” Junhong asked Youngjae taking a sip
“Your phone number….I want to be your friend Junhong and maybe you can teach me that?” Youngjae referred to Junhong's skateboard
“Oh...sure I can teach you” Junhong said smiling
He gives Youngjae his phone be number, and Youngjae gives him his in return. The two continued to get to know each other, until it was time for Junhong to go home. Youngjae smiles to himself, looking at the piece of paper. That contained Junhong's number on it, he was happy with himself. A new friend was around the corner, and maybe more in the future. He only knew Junhong for a little while, but he really liked him already.
Junhong throws himself down on the bed, sighing as he looked up at the ceiling. Jongup comes into the bedroom, and jumps into his bed. They were dorm partners by luck after all, and luckily being bestfriends it was no hassle. 
“How was your day Zelo? I hope you're not too bummed about the date” Jongup asked
“Hell no...I met someone else instead after accidentally thinking they were my date I got talking to him... I got his phone number and he's really cute so I’m definitely not bummed” Junhong replied smiling to himself
“Are you going to see him again?” Jongup asked curious 
“Yep not tomorrow but the next day at lunch I’m taking him to my favourite cafe and then teaching him how to skateboard” Junhong explained 
“That's cool...night Zelo” Jongup said turning off his lamp
“Night” Junhong replied 
He looks to the number on his bedside table, before turning off his lamp. Lying down he let's the sleepiness take over, a failure of a blind date but a good catch by stupid luck. Junhong had it good, a chance at having a good friendship or more blossom. He had never been so happy about being stood up, until today when he met Youngjae.
