Practice Start!

Seven

Sean’s POV

When Jinbyul walked out the door I faced my group.

“Let’s start.” –Sean

“Aedan-hyung, I hope I don’t sound rude but, are you going to stay here? Or are you going to use the other practice room?” –Sean

“No it’s alright. We’ll just use the other room, you can use this.” –Aedan

“Thanks hyung. J Let’s do our best.” –Sean

Aedan smiled at him and his group left the room.

“Okay let’s start.” –Sean

I picked up the bag I brought awhile ago and took my laptop. I powered it on then switched immediately to the search engine for a dance practice of B1A4 sunbaenim’s What’s Happening. I played it, but then paused it immediately.

“Start with warming up. I may not be the eldest here and I may sound so arrogant but I’m so much sure that I’m better than anyone of you when it comes to dancing. Do you have any complaints about that? Because we are going to start with the dancing, as we have to focus on the singing too, might as well start with the easiest part. Do you have any objections or violent reactions?” –Sean

They looked at me for a moment but looked away again. They saw me perform and they brooked no arguments. Dancing is a different thing for me, if they don’t take it as an important thing, they would have to start thinking otherwise when they are around me.

“None hyung.” –Jinsol

I nodded at him then continued watching the video while they commenced with warming up. When I was done watching I stood up then faced them.

“Who considers himself weak when it comes to dancing?” –Sean

“I am.” –Juri

“Me too.” –Junjin

I looked at the two of them.

“How much weakness are we referring to?” –Sean

“I’m too slow in memorizing dance steps. I have to take more time just to catch up with all of you.” –Juri

I nodded at him then looked towards Junjin-hyung.

“I catch up with dance steps fairly average but what I lack is flexibility. For example if someone does an amazing body wave even though I know how to do the dance step when I dance together with that person I look lacking.” –Junjin

I nodded at them.

“I’ll first be assigning who’ll perform who. Hmm, since Junghwan-ah’s a rapper it’s obvious that he should be Baro-sunbaenim. Juri-hyung will be Sandeul-sunbaenim. Jinsol-ah will be CNU-sunbaenim. Junjin-hyung will be Gongchan-sunbaenim and I’ll be Jinyoung-sunbaenim. Is there someone who has a suggestion?” –Sean

They all shook their heads at me. So I accepted that as a cue to start.

“Okay, since our hyungs here has to be focused on, I will be the one to teach them and practice with them. Jinsol-ah and Junghwan-ah, since you are better dancers, then you should learn the dance yourselves, arasso?” –Sean

“Yes Sean, we’ll do that.” –Junghwan

“Just so you should know, we all have to work hard. You should be able to learn the full dance by tomorrow so we can start practicing as a group tomorrow. I’ll set the deadline for our full dance performance on Monday. So we can start with our vocals. I’m asking you all to work hard on this, do you understand? We can’t be cut off. And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be losers compared to the other team, would you?” –Sean

Aedan’s POV

We went inside the practice room and I sat on the floor. I beckoned them to sit with me and I took a pen and a paper.

“Okay, I know this dance by Bigstar sunbaenim, and what I need all of you to do is enjoy this performance. Yes, if we do badly we’ll end up being cut-off, but in this case we have to do great and have fun. That makes it easier if you think about it right? You can have fun while doing your best and temporarily forgetting about the consequence. Do you understand?” –Aedan

“Yes hyung.” –August

I smiled at them.

“Okay here’s what we need to do. I’ll teach you the dance and you’ll have to follow me alright? We’ll make sure we dance equally so we can look like a group. If you cannot catch up, then be honest and tell me, so we can help each other. Alright?” –Aedan

Everyone nodded.

“Let’s say Monday. We should finish the dance by Monday. Or am I giving a very short time?” –Aedan

“I think it’s just right hyung because we still have to prepare for our vocals, and I’m pretty sure everyone can get it by then.” –Terrence

“Alright, let’s set Monday. Now, why don’t we start?” –Aedan

I finished writing up what we talked about then stood up.

“Okay let’s see, the first step goes like this.” –Aedan

Someone’s POV

“Oh~ look at them they are practicing already!” -?

“Of course. I gave them the deadline didn’t I?” –Jinbyul

“But you know, look at Sean’s team. This kid has really grown up in a harsh world. He’s pretty talented himself but he is too uptight for his age!” -?

“I guess so?” –Jinbyul

“I’m liking this Aedan kid. He’s the eldest out of all our trainees right now right?” -?

“And the smartest.” -?

“Well, he’s a good leader, not that I’m saying Sean is bad, but they have two different approaches I’m wondering how they’ll end up.” -?

“Let’s just see it on the deadline they set for themselves. Monday. That time we’ll see who’s the better leader out of the two of them.” -Jinbyul
