3rd Person’s POV

SEAN’S ROOM

“Juri-hyung! It’s a very easy dance! If difficulty is 1 to 5, it is 1! You said you practiced! Now, why do you look like that?” –Sean

“I did Sean! I swear I did!” -Juri

“How much!? You get here by 8am, practice by that time, then take a break by 10am, sleep by 12pm, practice by 3pm and go home by 7pm!? Don’t lie to me hyung! It’s not like we don’t notice, we just let you go because we thought you at least practice in our dorm! It’s so disrespectful hyung. I don’t want to say this but you are the weakest dancer here in our group and even I’m the best I stay all through twilight to practice with everyone!” –Sean

Juri bowed down his head guiltily.

“Yes hyung. We practice up to 3am. The other group’s working the hardest though, since last Saturday they haven’t been home if you’ve noticed. Someone would just go and get a change of clothes, but they are practically living on the other practice room. We go home because we finished the dance by the third day and we are just polishing, so we thought that since you are going home early it means that you’re good with the dancing. But, look at that.” –Junghwan

“We know it’s not your specialty, but you have to practice, it’s not like it’s only your dream that is on the edge here.” –Junjin

Juri looked down on the floor further.

“I’m sorry. I’ll work harder.” –Juri

“You have to hyung, because even though you haven’t perfected the dance, we will start practicing it with its vocals, I assume you have memorized it at least? Like what we talked about last time?” –Jinsol

Juri looked up.

“I didn’t.” –Juri

Sean grabbed his own hair and turned his back on Juri.

“If you don’t ing want this anymore then at least leave now and don’t ruin the chances of others debuting, they want this as much as you do, maybe more. If you really want this thing like how you put it to be, it’s not showing. You are just here to ruin this performance. Come on Jinsol, Junghwan and Junjin, let’s go back to practice, Juri-hyung, if you want to stay, then show us.” –Sean

The other members followed Sean while Juri stood there with his head bent towards the floor. With a few more contemplations he walked at the back of the other members practicing singing while dancing and started practicing as well.

AEDAN’S ROOM

“More energy August-ah, you’re doing great! Smile! Have more fun!” –Aedan

By the time the song finished Aedan stood up from sitting in front of the mirror and watching the members.

“I think I’m going to cry, really, really hard.” –Aedan

“Huh? Why hyung?” –Yoojoon

“Well, today, Terrence’s Korean improved, August’s energy was high up in the sky, your dancing all looked synchronized and we are officially done with the dancing. We can start singing while dancing already.” –Aedan

“Ughh, please don’t cry hyung. That’d be weird, you’re older than us, we can’t babysit you.” –Yongjin

He snickered at Yongjin.

“This kid! I was kidding! I am just very happy I feel like crying; I won’t really cry Yongjin-ah, take a joke! Anyway, why don’t we practice singing so we can have a break from dancing as well. Remember what we practiced yesterday?” –Aedan

“Yes, hyung. And today we are practicing it as whole with no copy of lyrics and it’s the first time we’ll hear you rap!” –Terrence

“I am very nervous, like legit, my heart is on the floor, because I’ve chosen to rap instead, because out of all of us only Terrence is the rapper and Bigstar-sunbaenim has two rappers. I don’t know. T.T” –Aedan

“Why don’t we practice hyung? So we can hear your rap?” –August

“Alright. But I want you to know that I’m not good. Like, at all.” -Aedan

“We all start like that hyung. Don’t worry, we’re not all talented when we started, well, maybe except for Jinbyul-sunbaenim.” -Yoojoon

“I know right. He’s born to be standing on the stage we are all dreaming of.” -August

SOMEONE’S POV

“I’m getting so creeped out with you. You are smiling too much!” -?

“I’m doing it too much? Really? Are you kidding me?” -?

“Yes! Too much because it’s you! Why are you smiling like that anyway?” -?

“I never knew it was this easy to put them in their elements. I mean look at them, they’re scolding each other, they are egging each other on so they can give their best. It’s like they forgot that there’s a competition between them, they’re doing as much as they can so their group would shine. That is definitely a quality of an idol, where you choose to make your group shine instead of just yourself, in that way, everyone else in the group shines.” -?

“That’s sad.” -?

“Why would it be?” -?

“Did you forget? They are not going to debut together. The entertainment decided on the last meeting the number of members for Syzygy. Even though they work so hard now, they can still be cut off today or later on, and if this is not for you, it will never be. At the end of the day, the only thing they are holding on to is their talent, and the hopes that the entertainment chooses them.” -?

“Of course. Not everyone’s going to debut, but sometimes, there are other things that they can get out of this.” -?

“What do you mean?” -?

“Experience, defeat, discipline, dedication, acceptance and friendship. Those that will be cut off does not mean it’s the end for them. It means there are other doors that they have to enter. And those that will debut, will hold the dreams of all the trainees who trained with them. You’ll see that it’s not that bad, maybe they’ll lose hope or they’ll give up, but judging by all our trainees right now--” -?

“What?” -?

“They are all going to make it out there. I’m sure of it. Someday, even belonging to different groups, they will be standing on that stage they dream about, together.” -?
