“WAKE UP TRAINEES! WAKE UP!”

 

That’s the blazing alarm that woke everyone up from their sleep.

 

“Huh? Isn’t it too early to be waking up?” –Juri

 

Everyone unfocusedly looked at the clock which was just showing 6:00am, but their intercom which was set up on every room was spouting up several commands already.

 

“You have to be at Celestial Entertainment by 7:30am. I changed my mind about your song choices. I’ll be the one assigning you with the songs I chose. And I’ll be waiting for you in the practice room. The driver will be out your building at 6:45am and it will leave for the entertainment at 7:00am. Those who will be left behind must take it to themselves to go to the building, but I don’t tolerate late trainees. I really don’t.”

 

Then the message was cut off. Everyone was running off to the bathroom’s direction.

 

“Where’s Yoojoon-ah!?” –August

 

“And Aedan-hyung!?” –Terrence

 

“Yoojoon wakes up really early so I guess he is on the treadmill as of now.” –Junghwan

 

“I saw Aedan-hyung woke up at 3am. Didn’t see him come back after that.” –Sean

 

And as if on cue someone entered on the main door.

 

“Yah! PPALI! Why are you still talking! I woke up at 3am because I was studying and I just went out to buy us breakfast. Move! Fast! And tell Yoojoon to change already, when I left he was in the bathroom. But wait! Where are those kids!?” –Aedan

 

“I think they are not up yet.” –Juri

 

“Ah, jinjja? Alright. Go on prepare yourselves, I’m done preparing anyway. I’ll wake them up.” –Aedan

 

As everyone darted off to different directions Aedan purposedly stepped towards the second room. He opened the door with so much force it banged on the wall. But the people inside was not in any way startled or anything. They were sleeping like nothing really mattered.

 

He first slowly went up towards Jinsol and sat on his bed. Then he patted his face very lightly.

 

“Yah, Jinsol-ah. Wake up.” –Aedan

 

Luckily the kid was not a heavy sleeper at all so he opened his eyes ever so slightly.

 

“Wae hyung? What’s up?” –Jinsol

 

“Our alarm went off 10 minutes ago. We are leaving in 35 minutes, so wake up now. You still have to prepare. PPALI!” –Aedan

 

With that Jinsol scurried up like a mad dog running to the bathroom.

 

Aedan went next to Yongjin who was sleeping with his mouth wide open. Aedan shook him, and luckily he woke up fast like he was on a rush.

 

“Woah! Is coach here!? Where? Where?” –Yongjin

 

“No, your coach’s not here. But a demon would spring its wings if you don’t wake up now. Ppali Yongjin-ah, Jinbyul-sunbaenim’s giving us a time limit.” –Aedan

 

And just like that Yongjin stood up then hurriedly went to gather his things.

 

Aedan looked at Junjin then he went out the door. He went back with a pitcher of cold water.

 

He slowly went toward Junjin then ever so harshly dumped all the water on Junjin’s face. And just like that, he sprang up from his bed and did a Kung Fu pose.

 

“WHERE’S THE ENEMY!?” –Junjin

 

“Wake up now Junjin-ah before I bash your head with this pitcher. We’ll be late and Jinbyul-sunbaenim’s gonna fry us. Ppali!!!” –Aedan

 

And without asking Junjin rushed out.

 

After several minutes all of them went out the building and headed straight to the car. Luckily everyone finished preparing before 7:00am struck.

 

“Uhh, we hurried so much we didn’t even get to eat breakfast.” –Yongjin

 

“Ah~ now that you said that. I actually went out awhile ago to buy breakfast. There’s just kimbap but I think this is enough to fill our stomachs.” –Aedan

 

They shared all the kimbap Aedan bought and started eating.

 

“Why are you so quiet Sean?” –August

 

Sean glared at him.

 

“Woah, calm down! I was just asking.” –August

 

“Hyung just did not wake up well.” –Terrence

 

Everyone nodded and went back to what they were eating.

 

“By the way why did you wake up early Yoojoon-ah?” –Juri

 

“Oh, I was accustomed to it hyung. We would open our shop by this time, so I’m used to waking up early.” –Yoojoon

 

“What about you Aedan-hyung?” –Junghwan

 

“Well, I was studying.” –Aedan

 

Everyone looked at him.

 

“Huh?”

 

“I do that when I can’t go back to sleep. Besides, I was studying English and Korean. I was writing everything up on my notebook so I can give it to Terrence when I’m done. It would be easier for him to study that.” –Aedan

 

“Woah, he studies when he can’t sleep. Wow, such dedication. If I do that my mind’s going to tear to shreds. I see why you’re so smart.” –Junjin

 

“Thank you Aedan-hyung. I really appreciate what you are doing.” –Terrence

 

As everyone was talking their van stopped then the driver announced that they were in the entertainment already. Everyone rushed towards the practice room and they were shocked to see that Jinbyul was already in. When Jinbyul saw the trainees entering he looked at his wrist watch.

 

“5 minutes before 7:30am. Not bad. Now line up according to your group.” –Jinbyul

 

The two groups lined up separating the closeness they just gained. Now the training’s really starting.

 

“I decided to decrease the performance I’m asking you to prepare, and since I decreased it, I decided that I should just choose what the two groups should perform.” –Jinbyul

 

The trainees looked at each other.

 

“So the only performance you will perform will be a vocal performance and a vocal&dance performance. The vocal performance will be judged according to your vocals of course and the vocal & dance will be judged according to both vocals and the dance but the dancing will have a much higher point in this case. But it does not mean that you can flunk your vocals on the second performance. After this assessment one trainee will be eliminated, unless both groups do everything well, then I might just change my mind and not eliminate anyone of you. Now, why don’t we start?” –Jinbyul

 

Jinbyul stepped back and took his tablet.

 

“I’ll announce each team’s piece for vocal performance first. –Jinbyul

 

“For Sean’s team, I’ll assign Innocent Love by Astro, this song is hard so let’s see how you’ll do with it. And then for Aedan’s team, I’ll assign BTOB’s debut song, Insane, do well with it. I’m telling you. I won’t tolerate any flops with these performances.” –Jinbyul

 

“Let’s go to each team’s vocal and dance performance.” –Jinbyul

 

“Hmm, I think I’ll have to change this up for fun. Let’s see, instead of Sean’s Team doing Run n Run by Bigstar, I’ll assign you to What’s Happening by B1A4. And Aedan’s Team will do Run n Run by Bigstar. Yes that’s it. Let’s do that. Okay, that’s decided. Hmm.” –Jinbyul

 

“Now, let’s sum it up. Sean’s team will perform Innocent Love by Astro and What’s Happening by B1A4. Aedan’s team will then perform Insane by BTOB and Run N Run by Bigstar. That’s it! I’m leaving. Oh, wait I forgot. I shortened the time too since I decreased one performance, so I’ll be seeing you, two weeks from now. Saturday. Since today is also a Saturday, you have exactly two weeks to prepare. That’s all. I’ll be leaving.” –Jinbyul

 

He went towards the door but before he opened the door he looked back to the trainees.

 

“The game’s up. So if you wanna play, you have to do your best. Score that goal. But if you get that red card, you’re done.”
