The Korean agency giant, SM Entertainment, has announced the formation of a new girl group. Representatives tell allkpop that a project group has been given the seal of approval by the company head.
What is this new group? The official name has been revealed to be Angel League, a 6 member girl group. The official fan club is called Wings. Our sources say their members are multi-talented and versatile in all fields. They were carefully selected to perform on the international stage. What could this possibly mean? Were these girls selected from the global auditions? Perhaps they’re all educated in multiple languages. Whatever the case is, SM intends for these girls to expand Korean music beyond the Asian scene. Angel League is slated to debut and join the ranks of other beloved idol groups such as SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee and DBSK sometime in early 2012.
So, is this group going to be just another flop? Or perhaps the next big thing? We’ll just have to wait and see. But be prepared world, for the new leaders of the Hallyu wave!
