Chapter 6

Yunhyeong and Yunhyuk help Bobby up on his feet and drag him to the waiting area. Bobby's mind turns blank as he stopped screaming but his tears still run down his cheeks as he gets up from the seat with a serious expression. “I have to see him!” Yunhyeong gets up and stands in his way. “You can't. You can't help him now!” Bobby glares at Yunhyeong “Step aside! I need to go see him!” Bobby wants to walk past Yunhyeong. Chanwoo and Donghyuk look at Bobby and Yoyo at the same time when Jinhwan just happened to stopped crying. Yunhyeong stares at Bobby. “You can't just barge into there. What are you thinking?” Bobby clicks his tongue and grinds his teeth as he talks. “Go out of my way.” Yunhyeong shakes his head and doesn't let Bobby go by. Bobby face turns dark and lifts his hand to slap Yunhyeong's face. Yunhyeong just looks at him and yells. “Yes! Hit me! Hit me if you think this will help Hanbin? Go on! Do you think they just let you go in there? We are all worried about him and the baby but we can't just lose our mind and go berserk! Not when there is still hope! You idiot!” Chanwoo and Donghyuk stare at Yunhyeong, catching their breaths. Jinhwan, June and Yunhyuk stare at Yunhyeong speechless from his words. Bobby's mouth drops open and he lowers his hand. “Yes... I am an idiot. I can't keep on living like this...I...I...” He just wants to start crying again when a nurse comes out and looks for Bobby. She smiles and her voice sounds calm and soft. “Mr. Kim Bobby, you can see your baby now.” Bobby turns his head and looks at her in disbelieve. She smiles and shows him with her hand to follow her down the hallway. Bobby stumbles towards her and everyone got up from his seat. The nurse nods her head and walks down to the end of the corridor and stops in front of a door. “Don't worry when you see his skin colour, it's due to anoxia. It will change in time. He is one tough little guy.” Bobby stutters. “He...he?” The nurse smiles and nods. “Congratulations it's a baby boy.” Jinhwan's tears start to run down his face again and he seeks comfort in Junes arms again. Donghyuk and Chanwoo can't help but cry too while Yunhyeong pushes Bobby gentle inside the room to go already to his baby. Bobby looks at the incubator and as if he was pulled by a thread he walks towards the breeder. Chanwoo and Donghyuk want to go after him but Yunhyuk holds them back and shows them to wait first. Bobby keeps his eyes on the breeder and when he sees his baby, he gasps for air and starts trembling. His tears run down his face as he lifts his hands to carefully touch the surface of the breeder. He wipes away his tears to see clearly and whispers gentle. “...hello baby...” Inside rests a very tiny and tired baby breathing in peace with its eyes shut but when Bobby talks he starts to move his head and little fingers as if he responds to the voice he heard already so often. The nurse walks next to Bobby and pats his shoulder gentle. “You can hold him when you like. He is stronger as you may think.” Bobby looks at her with wide eyes. The nurse smiles and reaches for an hospital gown and put it on Bobby then lifts the incubator and carefully takes out the baby. Bobby can't keep his eyes away from his baby and lifts his arms to hold his baby for the first time. The nurse smiles as she carefully puts the tiny boy into his arms. Bobby frowns as he feels how light and small he is. “I am scared that I will break him, he is so tiny.” The nurse laughs and looks at Bobby shaking her head. “You won't, don't worry.” She steps back and let Bobby hold the baby on his own. Bobby gasps as the baby starts yawning and snuggling his head against Bobby's chest. It seems as if time stopped moving while Bobby looks at his son. He can't stop his tears from running down his cheeks as he naturally sways his baby in his arms. The little baby boy lifts his arms and Bobby carefully let go of one hand and moves it to the baby hand and as soon as the baby feels Bobby's finger he tries to grab him but regarding this he is still too weak. Bobby laughs relieved and sighs. “Thank you for being okay baby...thank you so much.” He leans down and kisses the forehead of his baby when his lips tremble again still not knowing about Hanbins condition. The baby smacks his lips then continues to rest, breathing slowly and calm. Bobby turns to the others looking up and show them the baby. Jinhwan let go of June and look at the baby but clutch his hand on his mouth when he sees how tiny he is. Chanwoo and Donghyuk smile and don't even dare to touch him because it looks so fragile. Yunhyeong now crying too after seeing the baby, smiles at Bobby. “Congratulations.” Yunhyuk and June smile proudly at Bobby and the baby unable to say anything due to being captivated by the incredibly adorable tiny thing in Bobby's arms. Bobby holds his son in his arms when the nurse comes back with a bottle of milk. “He needs to get fed. You think you can do it?” Bobby looks at her a bit taken aback but nods. She guides him to a chair and Bobby sits down carefully holding on to his baby. His son cries a little and Bobby stares at him with open eyes hearing his baby's voice for the first time. He grins but sways him gentle to calm him down. The others chuckle when they hear the baby and Jinhwan sobs. “He looks so beautiful.” Chanwoo whispers a bit disagreeing. “He looks like a smurf.” Bobby looks at Chanwoo and glares at him. “Are you already starting to give him names when he doesn't even have one yet?” Chanwoo lifts his arms apologetic and chuckles. “Wae...smurfs are cute.” Bobby clicks his tongue but when the nurse hands him the milk bottle he concentrates on his baby again and carefully puts the tip of the bottle into his sons mouth and he immediately starts and drinking the milk. Bobby grins and his chest almost hurts form happiness when doctor Lee knocks on the door. Yunhyuk turns around and looks at him. Yunhyeong pats Junes and Jinhwans shoulder and show them to move aside. Donghyuk looks up towards Lee too. Bobby still focused on his baby doesn't only notice Lee when Chanwoo coughs and pats Bobby's shoulder. Lee's face looks exhausted and sorrowful while walks to Bobby. Bobby can't face him yet. His happiness from just now vanishes in an instant. Bobby carefully takes away the milk bottle and holds on to his baby gently as he faces Lee. Lee looks at the baby and then at Bobby. Bobby's heart stops beating when he sees his expression. His lips tremble but feeling his son breath in his arms calms him down a little bit. “Hanbin....is he...?” Lee lowers his face and presses his lips together and shakes his head. “I am sorry but...” Bobby's pulse stops and he shakes his head. “No...please....” Bobby holds his baby closer when Lee starts to soften his face and smiles. He continues and sighs. “I am sorry but he isn't yet awake, but you can go see him now. He is stable and should wake up in no time.” Chanwoo and Donghyuk are the first ones to gasps in relieve and hug each other while Jinhwan starts to cry again, hugging June and even Yunhyuk and Yunhyeong who could hold back their tears until now cries. Bobby stares at Lee and his tears run down his face and looks at his baby with a bright smile. “Baby...your dad is alright...he is alright...” His knees feel weak but since he holds his son in his arms he stays strong. Lee smiles and reaches out his hand. “Congratulations.” Bobby holds on to his baby with one hand and shakes Lee's hand while thanking him. “Thank you...thank you so much...thank you...” Lee smiles and nods his head. “Come on...you should go to him. After all you want to be beside him when he wakes up. Right?” Bobby nods his head then looks at his baby unsure if he can leave with it. Lee sighs and pats Bobby's back. Lee turns to the nurse and asks for the data then checks on it and turns back to Bobby. “The incubator is no longer needed...everything looks alright...I make sure that they put a baby bed into Mr. Kim Hanbins room...you can go.” Lee looks at the nurse to show him the way to Hanbins room. Bobby looks at the others when he leaves the room with his baby tight in his arms. Chanwoo and Donghyuk want to follow along when this time Yunhyuk stops them and shakes his head. “I think we better go home now. Let's give them some time alone.” Yunhyeong nods and looks at Jinhwan who recently stopped crying again. Lee smiles at Yunhyuk gratefully and they leave the room to head home while Lee leaves to his office too.

Bobby follows the nurse to Hanbins room. Hanbin lays in bed still with his eyes shut. His face is pale and he has dark circles underneath his eyes. Bobby looks at the nurse shocked but she smiles reading his expression. “He lost a lot of blood and when he wakes up, please make sure he doesnÄt move too much. Due to the cardiac massage he has two bruised rips, but they will heal after some time.” Bobby nods when the baby starts to cry again and struggles with his small arms. Bobby tries to calm him down to not wake up Hanbin before he rested and looks troubled. The nurse giggles and walks to Bobby and shows him how he should hold the baby. She moves the baby so it can lean on Bobby's chest resting his head on Bobby's shoulder. “Because he just drank milk he needs to burp probably. I know those things are still new to young parents, but you will get used to it soon.” Bobby smiles thankful when his baby stops crying and he feels the baby's breath against his skin. Bobby still can't believe that he is holding their baby in his arms and that he can see Hanbin. The nurse steps back and heads to the door. “I will go get the baby bed. Excuse me.” Bobby bows his head then walks to Hanbins bed. Hanbin breaths slowly and Bobby tries to be as quiet as possible when he takes a seat next to Hanbin on the bed. The baby starts to whine again and Bobby pats his back gentle while he whispers. “Shhhh....It's alright...your daddy is fine. Look...” He carefully turns the baby to Hanbin and smiles. “See...This is your daddy...He will soon see you too...but he still needs to rest. So we have to be a little more patient.” The baby yawns and Bobby can't help but laugh when he sees this. The baby's skin already became less blue and starts to get the natural baby pink colour as they wait for Hanbin to wake up.

In the meantime the nurse brought the baby bed and 1 more hours passes while they wait for Hanbin to wake up. The baby starts to cry again as if it is losing its patience when Hanbin moans. Bobby sways the baby and tries to calm it down, looking at Hanbin. “Hanbin-ah?” Hanbin slowly opens his eyes and tries to get used to the lights. His whole body aches and he feels terrible but when he hears Bobby's voice he opens his eyes. Bobby hold their baby in his arms and smiles at Hanbin tears running down his cheeks again. Hanbin blinks his eyes confused and still dizzy from the painkillers and anesthesia. Bobby smiles. “Hanbin-ah?” Hanbin frowns and sighs, his voice sounds hoarse. “What....what happened...is the baby alright?” He moves his hand to this stomach when he feels suddenly so empty and strange. Hanbin panics and wants to sit up when his whole body aches and he hisses. Bobby looks at him worried and sighs. “Shhh...Hanbin-ah you shouldn't move too much yet....but Hanbin-ah...there is someone that wants to meet you.” Hanbin still confused when Bobby sits down with the baby and holds it so Hanbin can see him. Hanbins eyes open wide when he sees the tiny baby in Bobby's arms. Bobby smiles and can't hide his tears of relieve. Hanbins lips tremble as his sight gets less blurry and looks at the baby. “Is...is...this...is this ours?” Bobby laughs and kisses Hanbins forehead gentle. “Yes....Hanbin-ah this is our baby boy.” Hanbin cries now and lifts his arms even though it hurts to touch his baby. “He is so tiny...but so beautiful.” Bobby grins and carefully put the baby into Hanbins arms while he still supports holding it. Hanbin sighs and cries in silent while he can't keep his eyes away from the baby. Bobby the baby's head and whispers gentle. “He was just so excited not long ago and now when he is in your arms he is totally calm.” Hanbin forgets all pain and sighs. “Hello Kim Gwihan.” Bobby frowns confused. “Gwihan? I didn't know we already decided on a name.” Hanbin smiles getting tired again. “I played with our names...but then I thought about a name with meaning...and then I came across gwihan...which means precious in Korean but when you pronounce it, it sounds like Jihan. I thought it would fit our baby...you don't like it?” He shuts his eyes and talks already half asleep. Bobby smirks and takes the baby carefully back into his arms while Hanbin dozes off again. “No, I think you couldn't have found a better name.”
