Chapter 7

The last weeks were really busy. Bobby had his “Father and I” shooting with his dad and the press conference a few days after the last shoot. Hanbin and the others had some free time but they all missed Bobby when he was gone. Once Bobby finished his shooting he flies to Nanjing for their concert. He is the first to arrive in their dressing room and waits for the others to surprise them. When they meet again Hanbin was the most happiest. Bobby couldn't hold it in any longer and as soon as he saw Hanbin, he grabbed his hand and dragged him to their restroom to kiss him. Hanbin follows him, while the others act as if they didn't notice anything. Once they reach the restroom Bobby shuts the door and presses Hanbin against the wall to grind their bodies closer, to lessen the space between them as much as possible. He whispers into Hanbins ear and his earlobe. “I am back.” Hanbin sighs and holds on to Bobby's waist. He smiles at him and leans against Bobby's chest. “Welcome home.” Bobby breaths out and moves his hand to Hanbins thigh to lift Hanbins leg up. Hanbin gasps when Bobby presses him against the wall and deepens their kiss. Hanbin moans and wraps his arms around Bobby's neck. Bobby's body becomes hot as well as Hanbins. Bobby kisses him briefly then reaches for a few tissues and helps him wipe away their then washes their hands. Bobby fixes his clothes and while they wash up Bobby hugs Hanbin from behind and kisses his back again. “I am glad I can hold you in my arms again...I missed you so much.” Hanbin looks up and sees Bobby's face in the mirror without turning around. He smiles gentle and sighs. “I missed you too...I am glad you are back.” Bobby smiles and holds on a bit longer before he let go so they go back to the others. Hanbin unlocks the door but then stops again and turns to Bobby. Bobby looks at him and notices Hanbin leaning closer. He shuts his eyes and smiles, but just when they wanted to kiss again Yunhyuk interrupted them on purpose.

Hanbin and Bobby sigh in sync then went back to the others who started to play the toy hammer game. Of course they joined too and Hanbin took any chance to hit Bobby to get his revenge for being teases so much just now. After playing another round they have to get ready for the show and to go on stage.

As soon as their concert ended they had a bit of a rest at their hotel, before they went to China for the “The Remix”-recording. Yunhyuk and the staff decided to visit the zoo together with iKON, to give them a bit of a free time before the shooting continued. The iKON members were so excited to go to the zoo, only Bobby was feeling a bit absent minded. Bobby wanted to go with Hanbin but Chanwoo and Donghyuk didn't really let him get the change to go to Hanbin. Also Donghyuk seemed somewhat strange around Bobby and Hanbin. Bobby worried why he acts like this tries to cheer him up but Donghyuk assures him, he shouldn't worry too much, yet this makes Bobby worry even more. Jinhwan and June as well as Yunhyuk too captivated from the scenery of the zoo and the animals didn't really pay any attention to their other members. Chanwoo now notices that Donghyuk stared to act strange too but he doesn't really know what he could do so he just sticks to him and tries to distract him. Once they took a picture with the zoo staff they had to leave for their recording. When they arrived at the “Remix” venue they headed backstage to get changed and get their make up done. Bobby still bothered that Donghyuk seemed so distanced, went to talk to him but Donghyuk just laughed it off and shook his head and wanted to avoid him when Bobby stopped him. “Yah, are you really sure? Listen you were acting strange for some time now. Chanwoo and the others are starting to worry.” Donghyuk smiled and patted Bobby's shoulder. “What are you talking about...I am fine...Don't worry Hyung and the others don't have to worry either...I am sorry.” He pulled his arm away and smiled. “I am really fine, don't worry. Come on we should get ready.” He lowers his head and left to their make-up artist. Bobby follows him with his eyes when Hanbin came to him and leaned on Bobby's shoulder. “So...Did he talk to you?” Hanbin hugged Bobby from behind and snuggled his head on Bobby's shoulder and breathes in his scent. Bobby shakes his head and sighs. “No, he acts as if everything is alright.” Hanbin sighs too then let go of Bobby. “Maybe he is really fine and in case he is really bothered by something, but won't tell us, then we can't help it. Let's get ready Jiwon-Hyung.” Bobby nods his head but can't help but worry.

When they start the recording they all have fun and joke around with each other and MonstaX members. The recording was paused to take a short break but to not bore the audience, the operators played a few songs of the participants. By the time iKON's “dumb&dumber” plays Bobby heads closer to the stage to dance and Hanbin follows him. Donghyuk notice them and tags along too. Bobby and Hanbin smile at him when he came yet Bobby won't be at ease. The recording ends and they head straight to the airport to go to Shenzhen for their concert. They don't have the time to go the hotel before the concert starts and head straight to the venue.

The concert starts and everyone is enjoying themselves on stage during each performance. Hanbin extraordinary happy jokes around with the other members and flirts with Bobby whenever he gets the change to the point that Bobby just intuitively lifts Hanbin and runs down the stage to show off. At the end of the concert they do an even more passionate encore before they leave the stage. Backstage they get changed and ready to head to their hotel.

Once they reach the hotel Yunhyuk starts to hand out their hotel keys and Bobby and Donghyuk share a room together while Hanbin is with Chanwoo and Jinhwan. Yunhyeong and June share a room next to Hanbin's.

Bobby takes the key to their room then smiles at Hanbin when he gets in the elevator with Jinhwan and Chanwoo. Hanbin shows him to check his phone before the doors shut. Bobby chuckles then calls for an elevator too and waits for Donghyuk to come, since they are on a different floor than the rest of their members. When Bobby gets inside the elevator, Donghyuk seems to hesitate at first before he gets in. Bobby sighs and leans on the wall. He presses the button to their floor and turns to Donghyuk. “I hope we have a balcony, I want to see the city view.” Bobby smiles at him but Donghyuk just nods and avoids to face Bobby. Bobby wants to say something when the elevator reaches their floor and Donghyuk flees out to the hallway. Bobby clicks his tongue and grabs his luggage and follows him. Donghyuk waits on the hallway and looks for their hotel room. Bobby takes his luggage and looks at their key then points Donghyuk their door. “Dong-ah, this is our room.” Donghyuk turns around and looks at Bobby, lowering his face embarrassed and walks towards the room. Bobby enters the door code and opens the room. He let Donghyuk enter first then gets in and shuts the door. Donghyuk puts down his bags on the sofa and floor then looks to the windows. “No balcony but the view is nice anyway.” He sounds as usual but Bobby knows this is just pretended. Bobby put down his things too then walks to Donghyuk and puts his arm around Donghyuks shoulder. Donghyuk jolts and wants to avoid Bobby but Bobby doesn't let go of him. Bobby looks out of the window down on the city and talks in a clam voice. “Listen...are you okay? You have been acting strange, since I came back. Did something happen?” Donghyuk shakes his head and turns to the side. “Hyung...I don't know what you are talking about...nothing happened...” Bobby annoyed lifts his other hand and grabs Donghyuks chin and makes him face him. “As if your face looks like nothing is wrong.” Donghyuk bites his lips then turns to the side to hide his uneasy expression and wants to push Bobby away when Bobby suddenly blurts out in a soft tone. “Are you acting like this because what happened three years ago?” Donghyuk looks at Bobby and frowns in shock. Bobby let go of Donghyuk and lowers his face. “...so I it's that.” Donghyuk shuts his eyes tight and stumbles back. Bobby ruffles through his curly hair and sighs. “...well no wonder you acted so strange. Today it makes 3 years.” He pauses then continues with a slight different tone. “...since that happened...”. Donghyuk blushes and turns to the side and clenches his fist out of embarrassment. He whispers almost unable to hear. “...this has nothing to do with it...” He frowns and lifts his head but doesn't face Bobby. He sounds annoyed yet surprised at the same time. “...and why do you even remember that day...” Bobby clicks his tongue then grabs Donghyuk and presses him against the wall next to the window. “...as if I could forget that, idiot!” Donghyuk frowns when his back hits the wall. He lifts his head and looks at Bobby. Bobby looks at Donghyuk and sounds upset. “Ever since that time, each year you start to act strange around this time...You still remember it...from three years ago to now... It still bothers you...no matter how good you try to persuade yourself. Stop lying!” Donghyuk looks at Bobby and his body trembles when Bobby holds on to him. He shuts his eyes and turns to the side. “You are wrong...I am fine...I am not lying...” His lips tremble and he sounds about to cry. Bobby softens his grip and let go of Donghyuk. “I shouldn't have done this to you, I knew it was stupid of me...I am sorry.” Donghyuk frowns and closes his arms in front of his chest and trembles. “I asked you for it...” Bobby frowns and rests his hand on his own hip while he brushes through his hair with his other one. “...but I shouldn't have done it...I knew that this wouldn't have helped you...I only made you suffer more. I am sorry again for everything, Donghyuk...I am sorry but...I...am...towards Hanbin I...I am ser-...” Donghyuk shakes his head and interrupts Bobby. He yells. “I know! I know that you two are serious! I know that I don't stand a change. I know that, but that's not it!..I am sorry...I thought I was over it and I am happy for you two but it still hurts...it hurts, Bobby-Hyung...I am sorry.” Bobby clicks his tongue and hugs Donghyuk and holds on to him. “Stop apologising...it was my fault...I should be the one to apologise to you.” Donghyuk shakes his head and sobs and holds Bobby closer. “I wanted it that time...you were the only one I could have talked to.” Bobby feels sorry and guilty and pats Donghyuks back. “But still I shouldn't have done this to you. I am sorry...I am sorry Dong-ah...I am really sorry.” Donghyuk sobs and mutters. “You couldn't have helped it either...you just fell in love too.” He snivels and slightly let go of Bobby to face him. “Hanbin-hyung were always closer to you than anyone else...I could have never had a change against you.” Bobby clicks his tongue and grabs Donghyuk. “...I didn't even gave you the change to confess to him clearly...he still doesn't know what you meant when you wrote him the letter back then during 'WIN'. You have every right to be mad at me for what I did to you...” Donghyuk shakes his head and rests his hands on Bobby's chest. “....No you don't understand...I am sorry... it is stupid of me to still remember that time...I am sorry...” Bobby now really pissed grabs Donghyuk and shakes him. “Stop apologising! I told you I should be the one feeling bad! I should be the one to apologise to you!” He glares at Donghyuk and clicks his tongue. “...When I started dating Hanbin we told you all and I didn't even had the courage to tell you by yourself. When I finally wanted to talk to you you already acted as nothing ever happened so I thought it was the best to just continue and forget about it...last year you were gloomy too but this year I can't even find the words to apologise to you since Hanbin and I am dating now.” Donghyuk chest feels tight and his body shakes more than before. His knees feel weak and his lips tremble. “I told you that's not it!...I told you... I wanted it...it was my idea...I thought it would help me forget about my feelings towards Hanbin...I used you as an replacement... but...” He stops and looks up and starts to feel dizzy and hot. Bobby's eyes look at him directly and Donghyuk can see his reflection in his dark eyes. Donghyuk shuts his eyes then leans against Bobby's chest and slowly stands on his toes...
