Yearning to RememberOmo! I got to go into town today, and I loved it! It was so quaint and just absolutely perfect! Many people stopped to say hello, and they all seemed so nice. Of course, the reason I was out was to start looking for work. There were a few openings that wouldn't have been too bad, a convenience store and a cafe, but what really caught my attention was a florist's shop.
It was so beautiful! All the plants were very well taken care of, and the scent of the flowers made me feel so relaxed. Of course, being surrounded like that... It reminded me of Jonghyun and his meticulous care of the flowers he'd bring me at hospital.
The owner of the shop was so handsome...! His name is Lee Jae Eun, and he'd started working at the shop in high school, when his grandmother started needing a hand with making deliveries. Apparently, she can't make it down to the shop anymore, which is why Jae Eun started looking to hire.
I really liked it there, so I'm going to go back tomorrow and ask if he'll consider hiring me. Not only will it be getting me out of my room, but I'll be getting a bit more independence as well. I'm happily looking forward to it.

Ah, it's been a few days now... I've been a bit busy. I got the job! Jae Eun didn't seem to mind that I don't have any previous work experience; he said he liked my entusiasm. Since he's hired me, he's started teaching me all about the different kinds of flowers and plants the shop sells and how to take care of them all. He's even given me homework - books about caring for plants.
What I find really cool is that a lot of the cut flowers sold at the shop, are grown by Jae Eun himself on a small plot of farmland by his grandmother's home. There's definitely much more to being a florist than I originally thought.
Nani, the nurse from my hospital days, sent me a letter update. She says she still hasn't seen Jonghyun, though she's been keeping her eye out for him like she promised. She thinks that maybe he was drafted to his military service, and that's why we haven't seen him. I don't know why, but that makes me miss him more. I hope he's taking better care of himself. If he's in military, he should be getting more food and sleep. I really hope so. Lately, I keep thinking about the dark circles under his eyes, and the sadness that dulled their color...
