Hye Kyo's POV

Whine again and I'll be his? Who does he think he is... I kept my mouth shut and ate in silence. However, some part of me was happy he actually said that.

"Why are you so quiet?" He asked.

"Didn't you indirectly asked me to shut up?" I shot back.

He chuckled, "Talk then."

"What do you work as?" I asked.

He put down his spoon and slowly looked up at me. He stared into my eyes and seemed to be thinking of how to reply me.

"I'm a doctor. So what are you?" I asked.

"My father owns a company," He said.

"So you work there?" I asked.

He shook his head.

"I work somewhere else," He said.

"Where?" The more he doesn't want to tell me, the more curious I get.

"Do you really have to know?" He asked.

I nodded my head. He didn't give me a reply. He sighed and went back to eating. I stared at him for a while, before deciding that he isn't the one.

"Where do you want to go after this?" He asked, finishing up the last bit of his food.

"Hospital," I replied coldly.

"I'll drive you then," He said.

"I'll get there myself," I answered without staring at him.

I stood up and walked off. He followed behind and grabbed my wrist.

"Are you angry?" He asked.

"What rights do I have?" I asked him.

"Are you angry?" He asked again.

"So what if I said yes?" I shot back.

"I'll show you something," He didn't let go of my wrist, and pulled me to his car.

He drove me to a campsite.

"Take a look around here and tell me what you think of those guys," He said, as he stopped the car.

I took a look around. Soldiers?

I turned to him and asked, "You're a soldier?"

"Would you still go on dates with me if I said that I am?" He asked sadly.

"What makes you think that I won't?" I stared back into his eyes.

"You're a doctor... I'm a soldier..." He said softly.

"Take me to the hospital. I have incomplete work," I said.

He nodded and started the car. The car ride was rather awkward. No one said anything. However, the trip there seemed rather long.

"Are you sure you're going the right way?" I questioned, looking out of the window.

"Ne, I am. I'm just taking the longer route," He answered.

"Ne?!" I turned to face him.

"I just want more time with you..." He smiled, focusing on the road.

My heart started racing again. Does he have any idea how good he looks right now?

"I'm just afraid you'll slip away by tomorrow," He spoke.

I remained silent, and looked out of the window again.

Joong Ki's POV

When she told me that she wanted to go back to the hospital, I decided to take the longer route. So that I'll have more time with her. She's a doctor, which means she will be busy everyday. I don't know when I'll have time with her again.

"Are you sure you're going the right way?" She asked.

"Ne, I am. I'm just taking the longer route," I told her.

"Ne?!" She turned to face me, confusion written all over her face.

"I just want more time with you..." I confessed.

I felt her staring at me, and I wonder what she was thinking of.

"I'm just afraid you'll slip away by tomorrow," I continued.

I didn't expect her to answer, so I wasn't disappointed when she turned away and kept silent throughout. We reached the hospital. I got down the car and ran over to help her open the door. However, she got down herself.

"Don't work too late," I said.

"Ne," She nodded her head.

"How about tomorrow night's dinner?" I asked.

"I'm not free tomorrow night," She answered hurriedly.

"Ah... It's okay, some other day then," I answered, trying my best to hide my disappointment.

She looked at me for a while more.

"Thanks for the supper, Joong Ki-sshi," She finally said.

"Anytime," I smiled at her.

She turned and walked back into the hospital. I watched her back view getting smaller and smaller, and sighed. I smiled a small smile and got up the car.

"Gwaenchana, you did well," I told myself.

Hye Kyo's POV

I turned away and walked back into the hospital. I went into my room and saw Jin Ki sitting there on my seat.

"How was it?" He asked, excited to hear of my story.

I sighed and placed my bag down.

"Wae? Did he bully you?" He asked.

"Ani... I just feel that maybe he isn't the right one," I said.

"How would you know? Noona, you've only been out with him for a few hours," He said.

"One and a half hours, to be exact," I said, looking at my watch.

"That's why!" Jin Ki exclaimed.

"Molla..." I tied up my hair and washed my hands.

"Don't stress over it. Geurigo, go home when you can," He got up from my chair.

"Go home? When? I'm always busy," I said, walking towards the chair.

"When? You can go home now. I checked your schedule and you have nothing on now," Jin Ki placed his hands on his hips.

I shook my head.

"Wae? Did something happen at home?" He asked.

"I just don't like to go home," I admitted.

Jin Ki sighed.

"Noona, your parents are getting old. So are your grandparents," He said.

"What can I benefit from for going home? Money? Pressure? That's not what I want," I said.

"Your mother doesn't mean bad by wanting you to take over the company," Jin Ki sat down opposite me.

"You know, Joong Ki-sshi..." I started.

Jin Ki nodded his head.

"He is a soldier..." I said.

"That's good! He watches over the safety of civilians!" Jin Ki said happily.

"And how does he make sure he can successfully watch over the civilians?" I asked.

"By killing the bad guys," Jin Ki said.

"If he can kill them, they can kill him too," I said seriously.

Jin Ki fell silent and stared at me.

"And you're worried?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Are you worried for his safety? Or are you worried your family wouldn't like him?" Jin Ki asked, speaking each word slowly.

"What can I say? You know how my dad is like... We have been friends for 19 years," I said.

"They'll like him, don't worry," Jin Ki assured.

"We aren't even together," I said.

"Yet," Jin Ki smiled at me.

I sighed and smiled at him.
